I had to cancel a flight back home to Ireland. I was visiting my mother in the United States during the Covid-19 outbreak. I needed to cancel my flight back to Ireland because my mother became sick. I went online to try and cancel my flight and they said I would need to contact the airline. The airline said that they could not cancel my flight because it was booked through a third party, Vayama. I then called Vayama and they said they were not taking any calls given that they are being overwhelmed with people calling because of covid-19, but their customer service team would be working from home and handle things online. Fair enough. So I emailed Vayama and I received an automatic email telling me to again cancel through the airline, and if that doesn't work to cancel through their website. They would say to go under "My Trips" and click "Chance or cancel", but there was NOTHING that said cancel or change or any option. I kept searching on their website and they kept going back to this option to "Chance or cancel" and there was NO such option. I referred back to my ticket and it said to contact Vayama and contact the airline, but again, I can't contact Vayama because they aren't accepting calls and they haven't actually responded to my email with a real plan of how I can cancel my flight. I know that these are difficult times, and I can imagine they are being overwhelmed, but if their website actually had a process where you could cancel your flight all online, it would save me time and it would save Vayama time. I am worried about my mothers health and I am struggling financially. If I would have booked directly through the airline, I wouldn't have this problem. So yes, I give them 1 star. I would never recommend Vayama to anyone I know, as long as they have this problem.
I gave this one star, only because I can' give them zero. After two internet forms and one email (because their customer service call line was disconnected), I finally got through a week after my planned flight. Due to COVID 19 I was unable to enter the country of my travel. Not only did they lie to me multiple times about working on my case, they sent me to the wrong airline partner to contact MYSELF rather than them doing their job to support their customers. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
IT'S A SCAM!! 0 stars. In 2019 I went through Vayama to purchase a flight outside of the US. We bought our tickets and they flew us from Oregon to California, but when we got to Cali there was no flight out of the US and no flight history of us ever leaving Oregon. We spend over 24hrs in the airport trying to get ahold of Vayama customer support. They left us on hold for hours, hung up on us repeatedly and faught with the lead flight attendant. We can't sue them because their call center is India and there main operating system is a computer running in the Netherlands. In shortThey scammed us around $1000 and left us stranded in California.
Vayama have zero customer care or communication during stressful times and the airline dont wanna know ,constantly referring me back to vayama who do not respond.I booked a transatlantic flight which has been totally not what i paid for and the airline (united)expect my wife and i to endure a 3 day trip to the uk via new york then no connectg flight at the end of it all.
I have been trying to communicate with a real person for more than a month regarding our flights of the 10th of April. Up to now , I just get automated e-mails and I am still in the dark about what happened to our flights.
I been trying to contact you guys for a week already, thru e-mail, phone calls, tried to cancel my ticket thru you guys web site and dosen’t work!!!! I payed extra for your premium package so if I run in to any problem with my travel I would be able to get my money back with that So now here we are.... No money back No phone answers No e-mail replays
they stole 675.00 US dollars from my American Express credit card. They charged twice for the same ticket. unfortunately, I realized that mistake 2 months after i bought it. They never refunded the money. I believe it is a scam. When you are about to processed the bill they take you out to of the website so you have to go over again that’s when they charge you twice without you realizing that. The company costumer service is also bad.. the are mean and unprofessional. You definitely don’t get any help through the phone numbers they have, that’s if you are lucky and they answer the phone, you need at least 1 hour of your time for them to answer the phone.
We had flights book to go India in march 31st. Ofcourse flights were cancelled. Send email to vayama several times. No phone number to call and no response. Worst customer service ever. Not worth wasting my time ever again with them. I wonder how many people's lost their money with this fraud company as they are keeping all of the money even though airlines refunded all money because of covid19.
I too have refund issue with vayama. Its been on from Dec 2018. I am grouping people with same issue to file a case on this. The affected people email me disputevayamafrauds(@)gmail.com. please remove the '(' ')' in the email id. I have added it becasue its not allowing me to post the content with email id. Lets create a strong proof and file big fraud case on them. They should be held responsible for their cheating.
This customer service is TERRIBLE. No response via emails, no phone number to call anymore (not that anyone was answering anyways). To all customers like me waiting for refund, please file a dispute ASAP. Vayama is a dishonest company taking money on what are supposed to be FULLY REFUNDED due to the various travel restrictions due to COVID-19.
If allowed I should have given them zero.I booked the flights and in few hours noticed something which I want to change.I emailed phoned them like 10 times no response at all. I called then airlines they gave a third party number who directed vayama to call me.Even then they don’t want to solve my problem but charge me extra as now prices have gone high. They took more than 3 weeks to respond and then want to charge me for changes which is not even my fault. I can see lower prices at different agencies but they don’t want to give me that price as they don’t want price match.
horrible customer service. their phone number is disconnected and emails are automated responses. i booked a flight to italy in january and i still am unable to change or cancel my flight. cannot get in touch with a real human. i feel stupid for booking through Vayama and im gonna try to contact the bank to get the money back
I've been trying to cancel/change flights for 1.5 months now due to the virus and all they could tell me was to contact them within 72h of the flights. Once the moment was here, I tried calling, 2h on an answering machine before I actually had something to do with my life, not even a real person and the website was down at the exact point where I logged in with my booking number. To this day, one of my flight has passed and the other is coming and I've absolutely no help or real protocol to follow. Really disappointed to see that they execute themselves fast when they take your money away but when it comes to just answering questions they don't deliver, let alone refunding/changing tickets. It is said that they only need one email and they'll answer within 24h... I've been waiting... still am. FOLLOW UP on Sept. 30th: Still trying to get my refund, these thieves promised me on June 23rd that I'd get my money within 60 business day. Everytime I contact them they are pack pedaling telling me they sent the request to the airlines and they are waiting for approval, when 3 months before they told me it was approved and they would finally refund me. Liars and thieves, who think their customers are stupid.

Their phone doesn’t work, sent emails only auto response came back, our flights were cancelled by Eva airlines, I have called airline many times, no resolution, I have been told that Vayama needs to claim refund, I cannot do anything. Very bad experience with Vayama. I have tried for over a month. I called my credit card today to dispute, even I booked it at July last year. Try your bank, our bank is much helpful!
I purchased 3 tickets for my family AND the travel insurance suggested by Vayama, and we are forced to cancel our trip due to travel restrictions imposed by Covid-19. I have called multiple times, spent hours waiting for someone to pick up the phone on all possible phone numbers, followed instructions on the website, and no one ever answers my emails either. This is simply outrageous. I am utterly shocked by this service and WILL sue if I do not get my tickets fully refunded.
Since the beginning of the Covid crisis, Vayama has been unavailable by phone to resolve flight issues, even though their phone number remains on the site. I booked a flight that was canceled, going to a country that shut its borders. I contacted the airline first and they advised that I need to contact Vayama. I did via email, the only way to reach them. I heard back 3 days before my flight was scheduled to depart. They said that they could do nothing. I had to contact the airline. I am getting the run around and Vayama's extremely poor customer service only adds to the frustration. I am now out almost $500. I was sold a product that was not delivered. I will NEVER use Vayama again.
I would give them negative stars if I could. The Tokyo Marathon was canceled, so I called Vayama to rebook for next year. They would not allow me to rebook my flight for the following year. After eight phone calls, the agent relented and would allow rebooking for next March (2021) but wanted to charge me $500 per person. If this was just me canceling due to my mistake, I would eat it. This is a pandemic. They have no mercy with your money. Their trip cancelation policy also does not cover virus spread by the way. At this point, all I want is a fair exchange of my flight for zero extra fees- they are not allowing this.

NEVER EVER USE THIS BOOKING COMPANY. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Issues arose even before the coronavirus problem. A flight was canceled by United, but I got emailed weeks later that there was just a "minor flight change." It showed the flights in our itinerary and I noticed the flight was missing, but on the Vayama website, where you look at the travel itinerary, it still shows it - 6 months later. They apparently make no attempts to still get you to your expected destination. Now with the Coronavirus issue, I haven't gotten an email response for over a month after several attempts. When they still had a way to call (that's right they just stopped taking calls), I got through after an hour and said they would move my refund request up the line. Clearly never happened. All the airlines are offering refunds or credits, but it has to go through Vayama. I have lost all hope that this will happen. I think the company has just disbanded
