Therapy notes support is great. The response times are quick and addressed concerns or questions I have had. I have recommended Therapy Notes to many of my therapy friends who also you therapy notes in their practice.

I am new to private practice and there is a lot to learn about navigating insurance claims. TherapyNotes has the best care team! They always have the answers to my questions and provide a summary of our conversation so I can review for future reference. I appreciate the call back system and I am so glad I went with them for my EHR system.

Update 8/26/2024 @ 5:01pm I just saw the reply from Therapy Notes. I have spoken with Therapy Notes several times on this issue. There were several calls and we were told someone would get back with us. Typically they email and sometimes call. The snarky reply is one that does not sit well with me. I have spoken at length with your office about a meeting I had with Medicaid in my office where they were clear on documentation and in response to a question we had they even said "5 days, not 5 days and 2 hours. 5 days". There were tons of offices that reached out to you. I know many of them that called and complained because they called me to see what we were doing. The frustrating part was the lack of understanding and being told different things. LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. Changing to a new EMR is not an easy task. This sentiment has been echoed in reviews. It takes a lot of thought and planning. I do not take this task lightly and I am not looking to jump from one fire to another. I am taking my time. I would love to stay with an EMR that I have this much history with as it would be easier, b I have waited to post this hoping to get a call back from Therapy Notes I have been waiting on that since last Thursday. I reached back on Tuesday of this week concerned over the issue of the time stamp that is now missing from the provider signature line. Last Thursday, 7/18/2024, I called in that morning when we noticed the time missing. I was told very clearly that they had been working on it but there was no ETA on when it would be fixed and it could be a few days. I asked if they knew if the system would automatically put the time on the notes affected so I would know how to proceed with my counselors. They said they were not sure, but assured me they would call me back to update me. I was on a vacation day. No call came. I find out Tuesday that they send an email to my office email address with steps my staff can use to fix the issue. I send this out and put in a call to them and we realize it is not fixing the issue. I call and speak with Sharay in PA. She puts me hold and comes back to tell me they meant to take off the time stamp in the last update. I ask why they would remove that. She could not tell me anything but "I understand". I became frustrated, very frustrated. She said I would have to have something in writing from a payor that says we needed the time. I quickly gave her the information to google the manual of a provider and she said she didn't have access to do that. I am concerned that tec support does not have access to Google. Let me say they do, she just didn't pull it. I asked for a manager to help and she didn't have access to them and they were unavailable. I asked for the CEO - she could not help me with that. I have waited days - sent scanned information from the payors and called 2 more times. The other 2 calls were to get a manager and I was told by very nice people that they did not have a way to get a manager. I am now on hold with Melanie who is trying to help, but tells me it was not a glitch like I was told last week. It was indeed removed and there have been other calls. At least she is honest and she is trying. She says they are aware of the problem and they are working on it. We do not know if they will fix this issue, but she was very kind, understanding, and could follow what I was saying. I appreciated her help. My biggest frustration is that I can not trust tec support when I call in and that is not comforting. I have 7 current counselors, adding a new one in 2 weeks and another at the end of August. We have a lot of clients. Having support is crucial and having my EMR understand what is required of us is mandatory to keep our records in compliance. It is my understanding that this started from a concern over time zones when providing telehealth in other states. I appreciate the explanation, but have concerns that the number of people who provide telehealth across state lines is minute compared to those who provide in their own state. This "fix" seems to have been a huge mistake and wasn't looked into properly and it has caused much stress to many offices. I had an issue in January that was going to be a major issue and I tried to alert Therapy Notes. I knew it was going to cause major problems. I could not get anyone to listen and then it blew up. I posted a review and got a call. MJ was super nice and he listened and I eventually removed the review. That was a mistake on my part. It is important we are honest with these reviews so providers looking for an EMR will know truthfully what they are looking at. I have been with Therapy Notes over 12 years I believe. I am now faced with trying to fix this issue and talking with other EMR's. No one has time for this. I do not know how this will pay out, but I am so disappointed in how this has been handled and how things can change on our EMR that we pay for without regard for what we need it to do.

I have been with therapy notes for about 2 years now and I am completely satisfied. I have had lots of great experiences with customer service helping me address issues and being able to navigate the platform. And they are very welcome to suggestions to make the user experience even better. At times, call waits can be an issue but scheduling a call can help with this. I love having everything I need to run a private practice all in one place. I often recommend this platform to fellow therapist friends!

I just got wonderful help from Brandon. In the 5 years that I’ve been using TherapyNotes as an independent contractor in an agency, I’ve been incredibly impressed with their customer service. I’m always able to get through to an actual person, and in every instance, that person has been clearly intelligent, has known the program extremely well, and has been able to answer my questions, explain things very clearly and patiently, and help me with unique and challenging issues. They are also constantly adding new features to the program, making it a great value. When it came time to choose an EHR for my private practice, I read reviews mentioning struggles with customer service at “the other” EHR and chose TherapyNotes, hands down.

Trent was so helpful to me as I'm learning how to navigate Therapy Notes. Even though the system itself is easy to learn, Trent went above and beyond to answer my questions with an extremely positive and patient demeanor. I already feel more confident when I'm entering payments, notes, and appointments.

In the past six months, being new to the medical industry, I have contacted Therapy Notes six times. EVERY SINGLE TIME the customer service agent walked me through whatever process I was inquiring about. They followed up with an email detailing our interaction, with the same instructions written out. NEVER did I have to get passed to a different agent to get help. ALWAYS I have gotten the help I have needed... Truly amazing in this day and age. I actually am wowed by the services that Therapy Notes offers. Whomever is doing their company training is STELLAR because in my half century of work experience, I have not received CONSISTENTLY perfect service. (And I very rarely use the word PERFECT! ;) Also, when there is an issue with the TherapyNotes program or technology, you are notified immediately as soon as you open the program. As well, Therapy Notes executives listen to their users, actually inviting suggestions, and then working to implement solutions quickly. On top of all that, they offer a Facebook group for users to chat with each other to gain ideas and expertise, with this group being monitored by TherapyNotes personnel, who do sometimes weigh-in on commentary for additional help. I cannot say enough about such an excellent program, resource, company!!! Kudos for all you do to help all of us in the mental health industry.
