In 9 years of relying on TherapyNotes, I have never been disappointed by their customer support. Even during this recent clearing house billing crisis, TN responded to help us clinicians recover and navigate the challenge with amazing resourcefulness and personal support, From an impressed, grateful, reassured user.
TherapyNotes is an incredible platform, intuitive to use and their customer service team is always top-notch, kind, patient, and helpful. Five stars, A+, 10/10, all the accolades!
Therapy Notes support is exceptionally good. They always help you anyway that they can. If they don't have the answer, they will research it and get back to you as soon as they can. You are always sent a confirmation email for the resolved issue. They are always updating and improving the system. I highly recommend Therapy Notes.
I have been a user of TherapyNotes for over 4 years after entering private practice as a"solo practitioner". The staff have been there for me every step of the way and made the transition extremely easy for me. The ongoing support has been superb!
I called customer support because I got a new phone and my authentication code was inaccessible. I received a call back and was helped by someone who is very patient with me who I admit am non-tech savvy. Thank you for your help JOSEPH! Dr. Smola
The professional expertise and knowledge of the representative
Too often anymore when reaching out for support for anything I'm told "we've received your request, please allow xxxx time for a response". It's so frustrating! Not so with TherapyNotes. I swear I picture a room full of people just waiting to answer questions! Not only that, every person has been so kind, knowledgeable and gone above and beyond. It's the best customer service experience!
Extremely helpful every step of the way! Brittney helped me navigate several issues and was patient, kind and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend Therapy Notes!
Kay is amazing. She knows the ins and outs of therapy notes. She was able to answer all of my questions and explain the behind the scenes reasons for everything. What she taught me today will save me and my staff massive amounts of time and money!!! Thank you TN & Kay for all your help!!!
The customer service is always so kind, helpful, and friendly! I love having the email after the call so that I can save it to go back and reference if I forget something. The software is easy to use and helps me save time and energy in my solo practice. Thank you all so much!
I've used TherapyNotes since 2014. I initially regretted picking TN instead of SimplePractice. However, they make great updates periodically that have strengthened the program a great deal. I'll spend a disproportionate amount of space on the negatives, because so many reviews rightly focus on what a great program it is, and I think it's important to know the relative weaknesses of a product. TN overall is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. I really suck with all things electronic, so that's a high compliment. The biggest exception lies with the billing section, which was recently updated and is greatly improved, especially in terms of the higher level of detail in the statements that get sent to clients. But for me it can still be hard to make sense of the various columns. I'm somewhat confident in saying there are still genuine weaknesses because my assistant, who has more than 20 years as a full-time hospital biller, finds some aspects vexing and annoying. I must give high praise for their support. I used to feel incredibly grouchy, because some staff took a condescending tone in years past, especially when I used email rather than phone support. Over the past 10 years I think they've made good strides, and I haven't run into off-putting attitudes for a couple of years now, though I probably reach out only a handful of times per year. Their support availability is amazing. The people are incredibly well-trained and knowledgable about the software. Best of all, after a phone call, you get a thorough summary of the problem you dealt with, and amazing step-by-step instructions in a follow-up email in case you didn't take great notes or misplaced them. I can't rave about this enough. Still regarding support: The main problem I ran into several times was that, if something in an interaction bothered me and I provided this feedback (admittedly, sometimes in a grouchy tone), I would receive an _incredibly_ detailed defensive response from the person's manager about all the reasons I was wrong and the person assisting me was right! He was always worse than the initial person. He didn't bother to begin with, "I'm sorry to hear that you had a negative experience," before making his case for why I was in the wrong. It's great to be loyal to your employees, and fine to explain to me why he thinks I'm off base, but attacking the customer leads to a really bitter taste, and certainly cannot be good from a business standpoint. I think it was always the same guy. Fortunately I haven't had bad experiences recently, so I haven't had to find out if that guy is still there. Another weakness, in my experience, is their search function for online help. If I'm trying to figure out an issue, it doesn't seem to have a good algorithm for detecting what I'm looking for from the inputted words or phrases. I doubt it's just me, because when I Google questions, the top hits are nearly uniformly spot on (but hey, it's Google, and they have the resources of a giant corporation). In fact, I think I'll try using Google to search for help with TN!! Then there is trying TOO hard to be sensitive to identity issues in the client information. An example: I work with a Native American client who has heritage with two tribes. In the pull-down menu, you get an amazing list of possible tribes, but you can only pick one! I tried to type in "Native American" (she refers to herself as "Native") rather than use the pull-down, but it didn't allow me to. It would be helpful if you could override their choices. Finally, I wish they would integrate the Wiley progress notes and treatment plan guidance as other software programs do. To sum up, I definitely think TherapyNotes is a GREAT product!! Just some complaints for you to consider :)
Therapy Notes is the best practice management system on earth! Having live support has made doing my own billing possible. The live support also helps this digital immigrant stay relevant online. As a telehealth practitioner I moved from Ohio to Florida and TN helped make that possible.
My recent communication with customer service dealt with offering a suggestion that would improve the portal usage for parents/couples. The response was quick, polite, and affirming of the need. I was told that TherapyNotes often makes product improvements based on the feedback of customers. I've seen some beneficial improvements being made over the time my agency has been using TherapyNotes, and I appreciate that they listen to their consumers.
Even with a long predicted wait time, the service I received was excellent. I was able to request a call back instead of staying on hold and the representative I spoke to was efficient and an absolute joy to talk to. Talking to TherapyNotes customer support is always a good experience. They are knowledgeable and often provide multiple solutions to the problem and walk me through every step.
The getting started videos are great. Customer support is in the USA!!!!!! They spend as much time as needed and they are encouraging. The credit card processing is the best I have ever used. Their Golden Thread Method leaves no stone upturned. The telemed is much better then the competition. I would highly recommend this platform.
Quick response and SO helpful! Therapy Note customer service rep called me before the allotted time (I asked for a call back instead of waiting on hold) and made sure my issue was completely taken care of before ending the call. she had to try a couple of different things but worked diligently to solve my insurance billing issue and as polite and friendly. She was patient with me as I navigated the site with her direction. I am so impressed with the customer service!
Our customer support person, not only told us what we needed to do to have multiple locations, she sent a written summary of the call! Now we can access that information, almost like a policy and procedure for changing the addresses of our group practice as we grow!
The software is fairly easy to use for notes and doesn't ask too many extraneous questions. With technical issues such as completing claims paperwork, customer support is prompt and usually helpful. My main and significant frustration is with the slowness of TherapyNotes' response to the Change Healthcare crisis. Other EHR systems, such as TherapyBrands, have found workarounds to process claims from major insurers within weeks. It's been months and 75% of my claims are still not being processed due to TherapyNotes' long delay transitioning to another clearinghouse. There has been little accountability in terms of when the process will be completed and their slowness has created financial stress for me and my family.
TherapyNotes are a team of knowledgable staff, willing to find the right answers and provide assistance in any way they can. I always find them willing to go the extra mile to find out the root cause of an issue.
I love using Therapy Notes for so many reasons: The interface is easy to use and aesthetically pleasing, and recently my very first customer support experience (with Charles) was above and beyond and super genuine. Afterwards the follow up email was wildly helpful to have it in writing and he even did more digging after the call to help me out. It's certainly a chore to call any customer support line, but this was actually enjoyable to chat and get to the bottom of the frustrating situation that Charles validated beautifully.
