Bought a refrigerator and my husband picked it up. He had an accident while bringing the fridge home. The door ended being dented and the crisper draw had a crack. First time customer with Teppermans and was told they would do absolutely nothing for us. If we wanted a new door and crisper then I needed to call the manufacturer. I ended up calling the salesman I dealt with too see if we could get a second fridge at a lower price due to the incident and they answer was absolutely no. So therefore money down the drain and absolutely no compensation. You would think there would be more compassion towards the customer like we will definitely give some credit towards a replacement. I even asked if it was delivered if there were damages then would it be covered. The answer was yes it would be…so why wouldn’t you help out a first time customer even if they picked it up. Even if we end up having to buy another fridge this will be the last time I deal with this facility.
I have purchased 3 items from the Ancaster store the past couple of years. Two of the three items had to be returned either because of damage to the items or because they weren't what we had ordered. Okay, sometimes things like that happen and they were eventually fixed. However, I had a problem with my recent order #704300568 at this store and things went straight downhill from the start. I spoke with the store manager about a problem with my recent order. He took a condescending attitude toward me from the start of our conversation and told me "I don't believe things happened in the way you're describing it". I couldn't believe he would take this approach with me and so I asked him if he thought I was lying. He simply repeated "I don't believe things happened in the way you're describing it". I said we could go over right now and speak to the salesman on the floor who sold me the item and he would verify what I had just said. He replied no, that he didn't need to speak with the salesman, he just repeated that he didn't believe that things happened the way I had stated. And that was that. I sent in a letter to Tepperman's head office in Windsor, complaining of the rude behaviour of this person. They could have at least acknowledged my complaint. I received no response from anyone at their head office. So much for Tepperman customer service. I will never set foot in a Tepperman store again.
Do Not Buy from here, they sell broken appliances and have no intention of replacing or refunding. Spent 5000 on new appliances came broken. Told it’s our problem, deal with manufacturer. Fraud. Total scum bags.
Omg.Teppermans are you kidding me, whirlpool frige freezer new broke 2 months after purchase,so lets do the day purchased,july/11/2021 .Numerous phone calls to teppermans and whirlpool requesting a delivery date,3 different dates and still no fridge.I am told now new replacement will not arrive until april/may 2022. Goimg on one year without a fridge freezer,what a joke.Teppermans has a policy not to refund our money so we can go somewhere else.I am a hard working man and work very hard to support my large family and we have been without a fridge freezer now for almost one year.Teppermans dosnt care about thier long time loyal customers,teppermans what a joke.We are dropping off the fridge to thier front door and they can keep my money,lesson learned,
I am providing an update to a recent review of Tepperman's. I have been a customer for approximately 40 years, having purchased many things in Windsor and Chatham. I bought a 65" Hisense TV in Sept/20 including an extended warranty. One month after the Hisense warranty expired, the TV would not turn on. Dead. Thank goodness for the extended warranty. So I thought. After 2 weeks they finally sent a repair company from St. Thomas to my house in Chatham. He took the TV and I never heard from him for a week. When I called him he told me he ordered a part and had no idea when it would arrive. It must be coming from China because 2 months later still no TV. I contacted Tepperman's last week, hoping to get a television. Their only response was "it is in the hands of the warranty company and there is nothing we can do." I tried to explain that at some point a customer needs to be compensated for buying an extended warranty. I attempted to negotiate a resolution whereby they would credit my purchase price and I would buy a more expensive one (but not a Hisense). "sorry sir, we can't do that." I am not a consumer that likes to chew about things that are beyond a company's control. I praise where it is due. In this case a customer has been without his TV for almost 3 months, with no end in sight. It is within their power to resolve it and they choose not to. Very, very disappointed Tepperman's. I bought 2 mattresses 3YRS ago at the Outlet in Sarnia.I paid for extra coverage and bought the covers recommended by the salesman we dealt with. SO when one of the mattresses caved in and made a big hole we contacted them immediately. They sent someone to come and take pictures of it. They contacted me a few days later to tell me there was a stain on the mattress and they could not do anything further....I immediately called their head office and explained the situation - they asked if i could remove the stain ..They also gave me a few ideas how to remove it - was told to use peroxide which I did. Called them back and they rescheduled someone to take more pictures....He arrived a few days later and took more pictures. A few days later we received a call saying once again they could not help us out...To say I was furious would be an understatement...I could not believe that would do NOTHING about this..It had a chocolate milk stain on it for the teenager who is the person using the bed....WHy did we pay extra money for the warranty and buy the cover??Its not like it was a $1000 mattress or anything...We have been long time Tepperman customers but no longer ...Its sad they will throw away 25 yrs of loyalty for a mattress that cost $300-400 dollars...To say I was disappointed well thats an understatement...I will not shop there ever again and I certainly will NEVER recommend them to anyone... Went to kitchener location to purchase a sofa. Picked out a sofa asked if it was in stock and was told yes it was in stock. Great but when I was asked about purchasing the 5 year protection and said no I just want the couch, the sale lady took all my information to pay and set up delivery and then she told me the sofa was not in stock. Rather than loose my cool I said fine will take my business else where and left. Will never go back to tepperman's again

Bought a set called Hunter...brought home the 2 nightstands in our car, then borrowed a vehicle to pick up rest. Took it all home except the footboard which wouldn't fit. When we opened it at home, one nightstand had a big chip in the top, one dresser was completely busted, and the other was warped...one drawer was sticking out and wouldn't go in. Called Teppermans, was sent an email requesting we send photos and they would get back to us in 5 days. Called them back again, explained this needed fixed quicker as we were staging the house to put it up for sale. Talked to 3 different people in the next 4 days (each was going to check into it and call back, but not one did!) I did state we would bring back the furniture and just get our money back, but was told they don't do that...they will only warranty the furniture and replace what can't be fixed! Finally got someone to say replacements would be delivered on Aug 19(original purchase was Aug 9). When furniture came (I did take the day off work to accept delivery), the 8 drawer dresser was not on the truck; instead, they sent 2 of the 5 drawer dressers. All pieces were put together and wrapped in plastic, so they looked ok. Drivers took back the wrong dresser as well as the original damaged pieces. I got a call from Sam in customer service the next day asking me to clarify as she had no record about the 8 drawer dresser!! What!!!??? They took the broken one with them the day before!! She put me on hold for 5 minutes to check into it, then came back to say noe she understood...great!! However, now I have to wait another 3 weeks for that dresser because that will be the first truck in our area with room! I reminded her that it should have been there the day before when I took the day off from work, but somebody in Teppermans "somehow" entered the wrong number on the work order. I also reminded her that if I had not been given crap items to start with none of these further issues would have happened! She was going to contact the person in charge of deliveries to see what they could do for us...again (apparently they went out of their way to make the delivery on Aug 11 for us...again, not our fault we were given crap and not allowed to return it for a refund!!). Then, if that is not enough, when we went to bring in the new nightstand (we had them leave it in our garage), when the plastic was removed, and we went to pick it up, the drawer fell out as there was no stopper and it busted! The bottom drawer will barely move...it was put together wrong! This is so ridiculous it would almost be funny!! Do Not Waste your money on this crap...and be aware they can give you any busted up furniture but you will not get your money back! I will be walking into the store with this busted nightstand in the next day or so when I calm down and drop it on the customer service desk!! Scam!!! Never expected this from Teppermans, but there it is!!!!Do not bother to give me some 877 number to call either...just a complete waste of my time! An actual manager can call me to discuss...but I won't hold my breath!
Do not recommend the Bosmer recliner. It looks good but these is not enough padding in the lumbar area. The back rest is actually concave and i feel like i am about the be swallowed up by it. I flipped it over to try and stuff more padding but the springs are so low it was no use. i swear it feels like its been stuffed with clouds. But the arm rest and foot rest are over stuffed. My feet don't touch the floor because the foot rest is over stuffed. I wanted to leave a review of this chair on the Tepperman's website but it wouldn't let me. I know Tepperman's didn't make this chair but they haven't even called or emailed me back after stating my concerns on their survey.
Had a previous posting with regards to premature fabric wear. Barb at customer service stepped up and was on top of the matter within days. Barb was very open and willing to do the right thing. We are satisfied that we all arrived at an agreement that benefited everyone.
I bought a couch off of Teppermans in 2017 and I purchased the 5 year warranty because the salesman at that time told me everything was covered. So this week I found a stress tear in one of my cushions I have warranty no problem phone teppermans told me phone the warranty company they said no it is not covered phoned teppermans back they would not replace the cushion like I wanted. The only thing they would do is give me a deal on a new couch. What a scam new couch for one cushion. Never deal with this company again. Beware of warranty they sell you you could get a very big surprise like I did. Good bye Teppermans would never recommend your company to anyone.
We have been dealing with Tepperman's for many years now. We have been more than pleased with the quality of the products we have purchased over the years. Purchased items in July 2020 as of November no furniture. No phone call from the store. They lie and stall. We finally got furniture in January after a long back and forth, I selected other pieces got it delivered and I believe it’s used. Hair and fiber under the cushion a big bulge in the couch. It’s just sad how they do business. They are not trustworthy.
Time and time again the staff at Teppermans have been extremely helpful with meeting our needs. Even when we have had issues (changing our mind on products) the staff is quick to make it a seamless transaction. Couldn’t be happier with the service even during the current lockdown. - Kudos to Richard from the London Outlet
Furniture is cheap quality. Have a power recliner that cost 1000 and yr later the arm is ripping and it squeaks. The recliner couch does the same thing everytime you move in it creaks and squeaks. Never buying there again
We purchased a Solutions Layflat Lift chair with battery power backup on July 28, 2020. It was delivered on August 13. We put two new9V batteries in the power backup box. On September 23 our power went off when my husband was lying flat and the backup made some noises but failed to lift the chair. We phoned Tepperman’s who sent a technician out on October 6. The technician said the chair was fine and the problem had to do with the backup. He said he’d try to get a new one from the company and Tepperman’s would get back to us. A few days later we got a call from a central Customer Service who said they had contacted the company and nothing more could be done. After several more phone calls and another visit to the store when we talked to a manager from Kitchener-Waterloo, we got a call saying they would send out another identical chair on November 18 but if that did not work there was nothing more they could do. The second chair also made a few noises when power went out but did not raise the chair at all so it was returned to the warehouse unused. It seems that your company is selling these lift chairs that supposedly have power outage backup but this feature does not work. Your customers who would need a lift chair definitely would be dependent on the power outage backup. We look forward to hearing from you that you will send a technician to fit the chair with a power backup system that works.
I purchased a brand new TV three months ago... let alone the guy that brought it out too my van was running with it being on the cart...and now it's in the repair shop and they're taking it apart and replacing parts in it... now remember it's 3 months old brand new out a box and the plug is not going into it properly & screen is having problems & now they can't replace my tv they are taking it apart and replacing parts & now I've been waiting over 2 weeks now with no tv.... What's the point of extra warranty if the employees don't know what they're talking about 🤣 " You would get a new TV if anything happens" & If they're is a "manufacturer" problem they should replaced it with a new tv & sent this tv back to the company .. Not leave me go without a tv & have a brand new tv I got get taken apart... Any other store if I called and said this stuff was going on with the tv I would get the same tv new in a box exchanged ... Ridiculous ... & Still waiting on the tv parts to come in the mail and the place is up the street from me ........ Never would recommend this place ... Save yourself the headache
I purchased stackable LG washer and dryer. Installation service is really really bad and deserve minus. Installation person was very rude and was arguing lot. He was rushing and made us feel very tense. He didnt do his job properly. First of all he started arguing that you had to turn off water. Sales man didnt tell us that we have to turn off water. My husband came within 10 minutes from his work and he turned off water. He said due to liability reason I will not connect vent of the dryer into our wall. We said ok dont do this. He stacked unit, then my husband said you didnt clamp the vent to the dryer. He said you didnt tell me before. My husband said, do i have to tell you, its your job to do this. We paid installation fee and u are not doing this free .He was rushing saying i have 14 more deliveries and you are the 7th one. If we are late we will be in trouble. When they clamped vent to the dryer, it fell off in front of them within few seconds. It means didnt do it properly. When they were about to leave, we asked them if they turned on water. He said yes. But when next day we tested washer, machine didnt fill any wate because that person didnt turn on water. we were so stresed out because we had no way to reach hoses, water hoses were on the right sides of stacked machines. Then we pushed machines and turn on water. Now washer is working but for dryer i will try to find any person from kijiji to hook it up properly. Next time I will not take their installation service .Maybe they behave badly only with immigrants.
Good evening, i just need to share, we visited the ancaster location today, I can't express how happy we are with the service we received today. The salesmen are awesome, so friendly and helpful. Not pushy at all! They addressed all 3 of my children. We bought an entire bedroom set, mattress and fridge. The salesmen we dealt with went above and beyond to make our visit to teppermans a memorable one and we will most definitely be back in the future ❤
