There are many things to love about Summerwood, but my favorite is the product itself. I was able to customize my shed (it's a home office) to be the exact environment I wanted, which is important since I spend so much time there. My needs were complicated, and I had a lot of questions, but the company was fantastic about addressing them quickly and clearly. All this was nine years ago, and other than restaining the wood trim, my shed is as perfect as the first day I began working in it. I contacted Summerwood recently to see if the structure could be safely moved a few feet, and they responded almost immediately (and on a weekend.) I highly recommend this company and its products.

We had a Summerwood garden shed installed this past summer and are very pleased with it. The supply chain slowdown resulted in a wait of several months but the outcome has more than made up for that. The team who did the installation were friendly, personable and efficient, and the in house representatives I was in contact with were also pleasant to deal with. Thank you Summerwood, I look forward to many years of loving my shed.

I worked out the design with John and had great support from Ray along the way. Of course there were some hiccups but everything got resolved nicely. I even had a pleasant chat with Peter, the owner. Just a detail though, I realized early on that I could not build this myself, being merely handy. So, hired a carpenter and we had a wonderful time building a cabin that I'm extremely proud of. So, thanks Summerwood!

I wanted to leave a thank you and positive review for Summerwood Products and their amazing customer support. We purchased a Cabana shed from them 17 years ago and over time one of the siding pieces got damaged. I was not really expecting to get the same siding but in talking to Anthony Saint they still carried it and even offered to supply a replacement piece cut to the correct length at no charge. In addition, the siding material they use is so fade resistant that the new piece even matches the old siding that has been exposed to the elements for 17 years. So to Anthony and all the staff at Summerwood Products, thank you for the great shed and for standing behind your product after all these years.

20 years plus and still great service. I had an issue with the roof of my 20 + year old gazebo because of a racoon ripping off some shakes. Summerwood helped me out with replacement shakes and provided and walked thru some installation support. Service +

As a follow up to "Seamless ordering and design process" we received and built our shed and couldn't be happier with the outcome! I have a bit of construction experience so had an idea of what I was getting myself into but the build was challenging. The key for us was to "study" the plans and follow the instructions. It took five full days from sorting all of the material; framing; installing the siding; hanging the windows and door; putting up the siding; installing the soffit, fascia and trim; laying the roof membrane; and finally completing paint touchups. The result was rewarding though as it turned out beautifully and everyone that has seen it has complimented on how great it looks!

This is a great product. Our cabana pool house is beautiful and built to last! Build and instructions were relatively straightforward and easy to follow. Overall a fun project to work on and complete. We actually had a bit of an issue where the pre-assembly that we paid for had an issue. The door frame was built several inches too narrowly for the door we selected. This required cutting our studs and reframing. This issue would be regarded as a negative toward summerwood, however, Pete came up with a very equitable resolution for my wife and I. We also worked with a very professional fellow, Ray, who helped us with planning the retro-fit for reframing the door. Overall the experience was wonderful. Five stars - I could not recommend summerwood enough

We have a beautiful backyard shed from Summerwood. Over many years, the flower boxes rotted (as expected). When I contacted Summerwood to inquire about purchasing some replacements, they delivered to my door BEAUTIFUL, solid wood flower boxes FREE OF CHARGE. No questions asked. Talk about service! Absolutely thrilled.

Still haven’t received my Urban Pavilion but writing a review now so other potential customers can be informed about how horrible this company is to work with. 1. Whatever date they bid for your “production” add one month. 2. Whatever price they bid you add 10% the week they finally start production. 3. You cannot cancel your order even if no production has commenced and your upfront money in non-refundable even after they raise your contracted price. Even engaged an attorney to dispute. 4. You will get inaccurate plans and specs and don’t bother pouring any footers or foundations until the product is delivered. I ordered the Urban Pavilion but have received plans for a Gazebo multiple times. Will update if the product is ever actually received. Here is an update. Despite multiple challenges with the ordering and delivery process, once the product was received and assembled it was very attractive. It is a little more than a DIY but when finished it looks very nice. I increased the review from one to three stars.

I purchased a cedar garden shed from Summerwood back in 1992. In all these years, the shed has held up very well.... I never required any service! Recently had to replace one of the window flower boxes, they provided exceptional service in doing so. I would highly recommend purchasing products from this outstanding company.

We love our Summerwood custom gazebo/home office/all-around hygge hut. My priority was a space with lots of windows so we picked the San Cristobal. It was very hard to settle on a choice -- I loved quite a few of them. John Hickey talked us through the design. We valued his experience re walls & windows, sizes, etc. He sent pictures he'd take in the showroom to illustrate his answers to my questions since we were long distance clients. We customized with a Carlisle asphalt-shingled roof to accommodate the California restrictions on cedar shingles. We adore the cedar everywhere else; it still smells delicious and looks gorgeous even after the rains in December. We ran electrical to the shed so we could add lighting and a ceiling fan. We used a local contractor to pour the foundation and construct the building... we never considered this a DIY project even if our purchase was pre-assembled. The segments were large and beyond our skill level (zero) to construct. Our contractor needed to call Summerwood several times through installation; their staff was available and responsive. Through all my dealings with the company, I feel they've honored their commitment to good service. I had no idea I would love the product this much. I use the "casita" as an office when I work from home (with the bonus that either the windows or the solid walls are a great zoom background since all the materials are strikingly beautiful). It's comfortable -- the 12X12 feels roomy -- enough space for a desk & office chair, two more comfortable chairs and a shelf unit, plus some indoor plants since the light is perfect. I can't say enough about how our casita has enhanced the backyard and my enjoyment of it. We use the new space as a quiet reading nook, a stimulating spot for coffee, a perfect enclosure for quality conversation or a relaxing afternoon happy hour. It encourages creative hours spent working on projects and enjoying the birdsong, the wind in the trees, the dogs and the squirrels. I've read that this kind of nature bath is supposed to have positive effects on your health, but at the very least it has refreshed my world view in a wonderful way during the pandemic. Summerwood items deserve a special mention. Our family had a great time building the Bala Bunkie, which is a one-of-a-kind edifice. Summerwood's assistance during the build was properly managed and the process went smoothly from start to finish. Looking forward to Summerwood's next project!!!

It was an easy choice - there is no other custom cabin builder in the GTA with such a range of styles while remaining open to further accommodate customer requests for modifications. The order and design team were pleasant and highly capable. The installation team were friendly, professional and skilled craftsmen. The end result, a peerless delight! The one caveat is to order quickly as demand is high in the COVID era and we, like others, had to wait several months to see the vision realized - but it was worth the wait. Thank you to Summerwood and all of their employees for a wonderful experience from start to finish. For many years, my partner and I wanted to create something special in our backyard to enjoy all year round. We received a referral from one of our contractors, who highly recommended Summerwood. We visited their shop and created a detailed summary of what we were looking for. Out of all of the options, the 'Barside' totally met all of our needs. They were very accommodating to customize our "Barside" from the original plan. We chose the "pre-assembled" package and our shipment arrived on time. The delivery process was seamless. They even were kind enough to extend our delivery to coordinate with the completion of our landscaping in our rear yard. We attempted to construct the 'Barside' on our own. Ray, in the engineering department, provided us with a lot of guidance and reassurance over the phone and through email. Over the weekend, a few of the other gentlemen in the shop were able to answer a few of our questions. After a weekend of construction, we realized we may have bit off more than we could chew. We would highly, highly, highly recommend you allow the Summerwood team to build your project for you. We reached out to Maya and the team and they were amazing. They were able to price out the remainder completion and accommodate a schedule that worked great for us. Thank you to all of the contractors who visited our home. We did experience a few hiccups with our position of our concrete pad (an error on our part) and their team was able to make the necessary changes to rectify this concern. Overall, our experience has been phenomenal. We would recommend Summerwood to anyone that wants to create a unique space in their backyard oasis!

We decided to purchase a modified Copper Creek Cabana to compliment our new outdoor living space and we couldn’t more pleased! The cabana size is 14’ x 8’ and includes the enhanced siding package which features the maintenance-free Siparila and white Versatex trim. All doors and windows were upgraded with tempered glass given the proximity to the pool. John was wonderful to work with and so helpful throughout the process. I had the opportunity to come to the showroom and he took the time to show me the different options for windows and doors, and a selection of siding and finishes to consider. This enabled my husband and I to create a sleek and modern cabana that not only compliments our pool and entertaining space but the design of our home. We are so glad we decided to purchase the installation package. Roy, Summerwood’s installer, was a master at his trade - very friendly, meticulous in everything he did and got the job completed in a timely manner. The entire process from the ordering of the product to the installation was seamless and the quality is excellent! Thrilled beyond words with the finished product and we have had so many compliments. If you're really passionate about construction like me, then you probably know that it's pretty difficult to find suitable for your needs materials. So, I also faced such an issues and didn't know what to do. I met about 5-6 stores and I couldn't find anything suitable for my needs actually. Then, I met summerwood products and realized that I was searching for materials quite unattentive. This store provided me with anything I needed and finally I bought some materials for my domestic construction and now I'm really happy. Our experience with Summerwood was most satisfactory. This, despite the COVID turmoil and crisis management. Maya, the control tower, did her very best. There were so many moving parts and uncontrollables that she had to manage for our installation. She was amazing! Our “installers” were skilled professionals.
