Just bought a Guitaralele from Southern Ukulele Store and have to share my experience about the Service. It started (Friday)with a search online for strings, saw their video and read a review and was most impressed with the unbiased thoughts, strengths and weaknesses of the different strings. So Inspired I went on their WEB site looked at few Ukes, thought I’d enquire about one in particular (Kanile’a Guitaralele) by filling in the contact bit on the site, super speedy reply from Rob the Manager. He answered all the questions gave some really sound advise so much so the next day I confirmed i'd like it. I Rang the shop first thing Monday chatted about set up etc. and was advised that some of my thoughts might not be the best idea and explanations given, really, really helpful, by the end of the week its at my house and Im playing a top notch, beautifully set up, 1st class electrics and superb Koa Kanile’a Guitarlele. Im a music teacher and musician and WILL recommend that anyone, advanced or beginner would not find a better place to get an instrument or advice especially if you tell them what your goals may be than Southern Ukulele. Big shout out to Alex and Rob at SUS for setting the bar for excellence in customer care. Working with SUS was such a great experience. If you have seen the Southern Ukulele Store or Ukes with Alex YouTube videos (highly recommended) you know the high level of expertise they bring to the table. That in itself would be great except they are also very responsive and super friendly. They really just want to share their knowledge and want their customers to really enjoy their instruments. I live in the US and my uke arrived nicely packaged and perfectly set-up in two days after shipping. I have no complaints; these guys are fantastic!

Terrific and friendly service, good communication, eager to talk and help with needs and requirements. The shop also has a wide range of ukuleles, and is keen to match a customer up with just the right one. They're even willing to have Zoom calls online to help someone decide. And delivery was also extremely rapid. Recommended in the strongest possible terms when buying a ukulele.

I recently bought an Ana'Ole Solid Hawaiian Mango Baritone Ukulele from SUS. It is not the first instrument I have aquired from them. I really enjoy Alex's enthusiastic, interesting and informative descriptions and sound samples of the various instruments they are offering. In addition, my communications with Rob have been stellar. It is my favorite ukulele store on the planet and more than worth the trouble of having the instrument shipped to the USA.

I recently bought a Kanile'a SUS-B Solid Alaskan Rainbow Cedar & Mahogany Baritone Ukulele. I love the Ukulele and shipping was reasonably quick given I requested a setup. When I received the ukulele I was very happy with its appearance and the sound is wonderful. I love Kanile's as have a few that I bought from Hawaiin Music Supply in Hawaii. The cedar and mahogany are a wonderful paring and the instrument is beautiful and sounds articulate and warm at the same time. Really nice all around. The only complaint I can add is that the setup was not very precise as I had hoped. The fret edges are a bit sharp and catch my finger tips while sliding along the E string. The setups on my others from Hawaii were buttery smooth and did not exhibit this problem. In fact I used the term "buttery smooth fret ends" were requested in my setup instructions. I will need to address this myself so not a big deal as I know how to do a nice setup. But overall I am happy amd really love the instrument.

The SUS guys bring together a unique experience. So what is the experience? They present the most superb ukuleles from around the world to tempt the taste buds of the ukulele community. So, now after purchasing the Ohana BKT-70G Baritenor, Ohana Vita Concert and Ohana Sk21 Sopranino, there can only be one right thing to do and that is visit the store and dream of making room for just one more ukulele. SUS is definitely the place to go for the best ukulele experience.
