This process is supported with professional advice before an initial trial session and then feedback after the initial session. John is exceptional. John saw the little things about our son, where he is struggling, and how they could work together. He gets him. Our son has high-functioning ASD and has struggled with spelling, grammar, punctuation and general literacy. The search for a tutor is hard, even harder when faced with learning challenges. Thankfully, through the recommendation of a friend, I spoke with Joanna at SENsational Tutors. She is patient and understood our son's needs. Our entire experience with SENsational Tutors and Sylwia has been seamless and positive. Sylwia has supported both our children regularly for several months. I had a really great first session with kelly, after speaking on the phone for quite a while, we then booked a session for my son Reggie, he absolutely loved it and being around kelly. We did decide that the level he is at and he’s age, that he might be a little to young for regular sessions, but kelly did really help me with a lot of information I need, helped me understand even more about children with autism. I will definitely be seeing kelly again With Reggie in the near future.

Katie from SENsational Tutors has been absolutely fantastic with our dyslexic 7 year old daughter. Katie started with her prior to any diagnosis to help with her confidence and a growth mindset, and she has continued following the diagnosis. She was able to engage with our daughter immediately and it is a joy to hear the giggling during the sessions. We have been so grateful for the incredible support that Ste has provided for our family over the last 6 months. Sensationaltutors have been doing an absolutely amazing job helping little children in their learning journey. We approached Sensational Tutors to help our daughter who is high functioning ASD, but was struggling with note taking and revision for her A-levels after missing the GCSE exam experience due to Covid-19 arrangements. The tutor we chose, Ewa, has made a huge difference, with over a 1-grade jump in predicted grades within a term. Whilst more expensive than normal tutors, the SENCO experience of the tutors means they know how to approach both our daughter and her school, which has been invaluable. The process of choosing a tutor is well supported and advised, with a good choice available to us, each with their own strengths. The tutorials are online which suits our daughter, and the tutor clearly prepares well, coordinating with the school and communicating regularly with our child, setting work to be done between sessions. We would definitely recommend Sensational Tutors to other parents of children with learning differences.

We were looking for a tutor to support our daughter who has autism. She is being homeschooled while awaiting a space a specialist school. They had a range of tutors to choose from and the process was pretty straightforward. We chose Sammie because she had experience in a SEN school, with autism, speech delay and early years. We are really happy with Sammie so far she is very enthusiastic and energetic and our daughter is responding well to her. She pays close attention to detail and has picked up on a lot of our daughter’s behaviours already and adjusts her methods accordingly. She is patient yet persistent and redirects our daughter’s attention really well. She is also very knowledgeable and has given us tips for how we can support our daughter’s sensory seeking and explains her rational behind the things she is doing as so we understand her intentions/methods. Overall the sessions have been very positive, even if our daughter gets overwhelmed Sammie is patient and understanding. Our daughter is happy and engaged and has begun vocalising more words, making eye contact and initiating interactions more. Myself, her dad and grandma are all very happy and wish we could keep her forever.

I spoke to Joanna few months ago looking for a tutor for my son who has an ASD diagnosis and wasn’t getting time in the mainstream school. We have had fantastic support from Joanna and Simone. Joanna took the time to really listen & understand our individual needs regarding our child's vision & implications of this. Joanna at Sensational Tutors has been really helpful - she offers a unique and extremely well run service which we have been really pleased with and can thoroughly recommend. Kelly was excellent. The work challenged me but wasn't overwhelming. Kelly knew how to explain things clearly so I could understand new concepts. She also made work fun and she was so understanding when work had to be adapted to help me.

Joanna, the founder and director of the company, is amazing and is on the ball regarding the tutors on the site. Before being matched to our tutor, Joanna really takes the time to listen to you. She understands the struggles that a child and parent face when it comes to the school curriculum and when dealing with the school in general. Joanna sees that every child is different and one size does not fit all. My son has autism, PDA, and speech and language delay. It’s very difficult to find anyone who understands a child with such a profile. Joanna found our perfect match with Megan. Megan has extensive experience working with children like my son, and she’s an SLT which is an added bonus. My son learns more with Megan in an hour than he does all week at school. Due to his PDA, learning is a battle. He lacks confidence and self-esteem and finds it very difficult in general. Megan is able to work with me, and together we come up with targets. She incorporates SLT sessions with writing stories together. She is helping him with his emotional, social, and communication skills. No other professional has “got” my son like Megan. She will adapt sessions as she is able to see when he’s not in the mood to engage. She is able to identify areas that need to be worked on and will tailor for him. She offers my son flexibility, approachability and reliability, which is key for us. My son has gone from resisting her to wanting to know when she is next coming. He loves Megan, and together they have built a solid relationship for learning. Learning is no longer a drag but a fun thing for my son. Megan is incredible, and can’t thank her and Joanna enough. Sensational tutors are a godsend to us and are absolutely brilliant. The company is a standout compared to other tutoring sites. Two months and my son's has progressed at a exceptional speed and level. Before, my son (6yr) could not write simple alphabet letters or read the very basics. Now, he is recognising letters, writing them out and reading simple words. His blending of words is good and he can tackle the tricky words too. After each session with Sarah, my son walks out with a smile on his face. Sarah is exceptional; organised, knowledge, patient and truly knows how to connect with my son. The school barely did anything with him because he is mildly autistic and he can be unrecognised. I have provided the lesson summary from each session as evidence to show the school their incompetence; basically no progress in reception year and year 1. It has been a battle and I have been fortunate to find Sensational tutors. My son's behaviour and attitude has simply change; he has tonnes of confidence now. The school teachers have noticed this. Sensational tutors is very easy to contact, make the initial enquiry and then things role on. As a mother I cannot stop writing about how this has made me, my son and family's life better. I used to cry before by myself but now I have hope.

Our experience with our sensational tutor, Marissa, has been excellent. She's fun, engaging, creative and full of ideas. My son is never keen to do anything remotely academic outside school hours but Marissa has found new creative ways to engage him in learning, which is no mean feat.
