They really take the time to listen to the individual needs of the child to work out a suitable match for the child. It's not a like it or lump it service. They check in frequently so that they can be sure the support is continuing to deliver. It's not out of sight, out of mind.

Our 13-year-old son is in the autistic spectrum and could not tolerate school schedule, thus the school outsourced tutoring at home. We are delighted that the school managed to find a SEN-qualified tutor Luke via SENsational Tutors. Although Luke lived too far and only online sessions were feasible, he took efforts to learn our son's favorite online games to gain rapport. He was very sensitive to the child's changing body language and emotions, and adapt his strategy with agility. He always build up the child's confidence with positive comments and praises. Luke engaged the student with discussions around a wide variety of topics including geopolitical issues, law, human rights, environmental protection, vegetarianism, etc. He also provided a wide range of activities/quizzes/lessons in English, math, and science. Our son was often able to participate positively in Luke's sessions. Eventually, he was admitted to a special school. In the last few sessions, Luke provided useful information regarding classmates with special needs and friend-making strategies to prepare our son for his new school. In our opinion, Luke is flexible and responsive to student's varying needs and adapt his strategies accordingly, and that contributes to successful tutorship.

Ayanna was amazing with our 9 year old son who has autism and adhd . She immediately understood his needs , and worked very well with him on language , building communication and functional play . He was waiting for her everyday day . I highly recommend Ayanna as a tutor .

This company is a Godsend. I have struggled to find someone who has the patience and expertise to deal with the short attention span of my son who struggles with ADHD. Ayanna is very experienced and makes the sessions fun and informative, supporting him with appropriate resources. She ensures there are clear boundaries and Reuben knows exactly what to expect which helps with his anxiety. Jenna was an amazing tutor. She connected with my son like no other tutor has before. She was extremely professional, experienced and knowledgeable of all his needs and challenges. Finding my son facing difficulty in English, I have struggled to find tutors to help him. But most tutors focus on 11+, which are too difficult for my son to follow up. I random search a SEN tutor and get SENsational Tutors Ltd. The price doubles that I can only afford a few sessions. Therefore I just pay for 6 sessions during Summer holiday, and concerate on only one single issue : comprehension. The first tutor I contacted did not meet my schedule, that SENsational Tutors has helped me to collect a list of tutors who can fulfill my requirements, that is how I find Caroline. Tutors Caroline understands my plan, and really delivers what I expected. She has given extra clam-down time and toys for my son as I requested, started with easier level, and has taught PEEL strategy. I find that 6 sessions with SEN tutor is better and cheaper than 50 non-SEN tutor, given that if you can explicitly state one particular issue and target of your child.

I would highly recommend Ayana as a tutor. She has been incredibly effective in helping my little guy with his studies. Can't fault the service from Sensational Tutors at all. From the start, it was easy to enquire online, find a tutor and meet for an initial session. Our tutor, Chenaie was an absolutely fantastic. She just "got" my son straight away, and was able to build a trusting working relationship with him, which is half the battle when finding good education for your SEN child (esp. PDA). He engaged with his learning straight away, and looked forward to his sessions with her. They agreed on what to study and when, and the work my son produced by the end of our time with Chenaie was outstanding. We knew our son was capable of much more academically than he was showing at school. Chenaie was able to build up his confidence and self-esteem, and provide a safe and engaging environment that allowed him to show us all what he could do. Overall, the service provided by Sensational Tutors was worth every penny, and one which I do not think we would have received from tutors that do not necessarily specialise in teaching SEN children. We will definitely be back in touch with Chenaie and Sensational Tutors in the future, now that my son is at a new school placement, and will be starting his GCSEs next year. So, if you are looking for excellent and expert tuition for your SEN child, then look at Sensational Tutors. You won't regret it!

We recently used SENsational Tutors and chose Richard to be our son's Tutor. Our son, Sam has ASD and ADHD and was struggling in mainstream school. We were constantly on the receiving end of negative comments until were started working with Richard. During the first session we could see a connection and it helped that Richard was good at football and was happy to kick a ball around in the garden towards the end of the session. Sam quickly knew he was someone he could trust. Sam avoided learning as his self esteem was low and anxiety very high but Richard adapted his teaching quickly and was flexible during each session. It was inspiring to see him keep Sam's focus and actually engaged with learning. At times he used the mobile phone for research and even learnt a game that Sam was interested in to learn about history and Vikings. Richard was incredibly enthusiastic about the progress Sam made, however small, which gave us so much hope that with the write tutor and support he would thrive. Sam even asked to sit the Year 6 SATS with his peers because of Richard's input in raising his confidence and self esteem. Richard also helped support us as parents as we went through a SEN appeal to find a secondary school and also attended our annual review. He was there to talk through any concern and impart all his knowledge and expertise. We found it really easy to set up working with SENsational Tutors and felt they were a company that really cared about the child and the impact they could have on helping them learn and thrive. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending both Richard and SENsational tutors.
