requested audience with manager many times and NEVER heard back from him.wrong wines sent and company insisted that i return them at at my expense.return policy DOES NOT COVER OR MENTION this type of situation when it should state that the co.will correct its errors AT ITS EXPENSE. customer should be able to reply to any and all emails and not have to look for a different email address in order to respond.this caused a number of problems.
Saratoga is the only place in the US I found to carry a particular vintage. Ordering was simple and easy, and the shipment was arrived on schedule intact. I will definitely order from Saratoga again.
I buy Chateau Ste Michelle Chardonay "MIMI" because of the name-Mimi! It's not because of the taste or the price but SaratogaWine.com seems to be the only place that I can find it (and I live in California!) I'm not very computer literate and usually must use the phone to place an order. This is handled in a friendly and professional way and my wine arrives in a timely and well-packed fashion. Thank you! PS My grandchildren call me MIMI.
Very prompt and easy delivery to your door.
I ordered a case of various champagnes and they arrived quickly, intact, and the pricing was great as well. Can't wait to place another order.
Everyone has good prices and knows how to ship, otherwise we wouldn't shop online. What is usually lacking is good communication. SaratogaWine.com did a fantastic job of staying in communication and letting me know where my shipment was at all stages and times.
Good pricing easy to deal with fast shipping
I was thrilled to get my bottles and it all worked, but I still can't identify Saratoga's brand. Maybe by design, but to me you are a virtual company. Therefore, you should have more new economy attributes, including paying with PayPal or others to avoid credit cards, a better interface and easier check-out process.
For someone who is not in the wine business and familiar with the laws and regulations pertaining thereto, it would be helpful if the buyer were directed, during the process, to review the specific requirements of delivery. The checkout process urges the buyer to select the least expensive option, but does not point out the requirement for an adult to be present at delivery to sign for the delivery. If you (as I) live in a hot climate like Florida, missing a delivery that requires a signature means the wine can sit in a VERY hot truck and warehouse (in excess of 90 or even 100 degrees in the summer) for at least 24 hours -- not the best storage solution for fine wine. In addition, if you can't immediately take a day off from work to wait around for it, it can sit for days longer. For all other deliveries -- and I get a lot of deliveries -- I can authorize the package to be left without signature; with wine, apparently, that is not possible. Moreover, the shipment cannot be redirected to, for example, an office, to ensure prompt receipt, without a written authorization from Saratoga. None of this would present a problem if the requirements were made clear on the checkout process, so that the order could be directed to a business for delivery from the outset. I hasten to admit that all of this is made crystal clear if one drills down to the "shipping information" page, but I suspect most buyers who do a lot of on line purchases do not look at all the fine print about shipping for every purchase. It would take little effort for Saratoga to add a notation or warning at checkout, when the buyer is adding the delivery address, that points out the requirement for someone to be present at the delivery address to receive the shipment. The process would be far better if it were set up to provide accurate information to a consumer, and not an expert in wine shipping laws and regulations.
I was in the market for a bottle of Lanson Black Label Brut. Since Lanson is the Champagne of The Championships Wimbledon I wanted to display a bottle in my tennis ball Champagne holder. I looked online and in stores for over a month without luck. I came upon SW and they found the bottle at a very affordable price. Now the bottle and holder are on display in my trophy case! Thanks Saratoga Wine!
One item I ordered, they didn't have in stock. My question is, "If they didn't have it in stock - how could the system let me order it?"
The process to get very rare bourbon was very smooth and easy. Something that we spent years trying to find locally was as simple as a few clicks of a button on saratoga.
Good selection and prompt shipping what's not to love
This is the first time I have ordered from this company and I was very pleased with the process. The wine arrived in great condition and we are enjoying it. I am glad I was able to purchase Silvaner which is very rare and difficult to find.
Saratoga Wine site was good and the tracking of the order was accurate. The delivery arrived when expected. I would recommend ordering from them.
I places a large order with free shipping. By the time the order was processed, some of y wine was no longer available and due to the smaller size of the order, the order no longer qualified for free shipping. Saratoga charged me a shipping charge. I contacted Saratoga and they reversed the shipping charges. Good Job
Excellent customer service and selection
You delivered some great wine at a great value and it was shipped with great care. It took a couple days longer than I thought it would, but no big deal. Thanks!
Wine shipped promptly, my order was complete, and I am now happily enjoying my purchase.
Overall, the service was outstanding - the prices were the best in the country, the shipping quick & cheap, the salesman knowledgeable and forthcoming. There did seem to be a bit excess information flow in the handling emails (not a problem for me) with the obvious trigger of interest - the actual shipping, not well described.
