Recieved excellent customer service from Tristan, Mary and Chrissy! I was having a problem placing an order on lone while I was on vacation out of the country. Most likely it was my credit card company because of suspected fraud since but the customer service team took care of everything and helped me place the order quickly!

ONE STARFISH ARRIVED DEAD. MY ANEMONE, OTHER STARFISH, AND FISH ALL DIED WITHIN 48 HOURS. PUT THEM IN AN ESTABLISHED TANK, WITH PERFECTLY HEALTHY OTHER FISH. ALL MY ORIGINAL FISH ARE ALIVE WEEKS LATER, BUT THE ONES FROM THIS COMPANY DIED. THEY WERE APPARENTLY FLOWN FROM FLORIDA, TO CALIFORNIA, AND BACK TO ME IN TENNESEE. I SUSPECT THIS WOULD HAVE TRAUMATIZED THEM GREATLY. IT SURE WASN'T MY FAULT.

I am new to the hobby and tried saltwaterfish.com for the 1st time. I ordered 4 items. A Derasa Clam, Flame Scallop, Royal Gramma, and a Sand Sifting Starfish. The Flame Scallop, Royal Gramma, and a Sand Sifting Starfish all arrived beautiful happy and healthy. Unfortunately the Derasa Clam did not survive the trip but Saltwaterfish.com has amazing customer service and they instantly responded to my guarantee request and sent me out a new one the next day free of any charges. Amazing customer service.

I'm giving 3 stars as some of the fishes/invertebrates that I've purchased have either been dead on arrival or died a few days later. It's about a 50% survival rate so far. I've noticed the same trend on the fishes that are not DOA. They tend not to eat anything i give them, and I try all types of food (live, frozen pellets, nori, masstick). After a few days of not eating they eventually die. Because of the 14 day stay alive guarantee, I've had no issues getting my credit back which I've been using, and will continue to use until all the fish that I order from SWF stay alive! The customer support has been excellent so far!

I ordered my first fish ever from here and I plan to order my last as well. All of my fish are beautiful and healthy. I did have a six-line wrasse die during acclimatization and they refunded my money quickly and the process was easy. Really great experience for a nervous newbie!!!
I have been a customer for years and am very happy with my purchase every time. Most of the sea creatures arrived healthy and their condition was better than most of the LFS I visited. Even there were unfortunate issues their customer support was able to help and address them quickly. Saltwaterfish is my primary go-to online vendor for my reef tanks.
Two issues. The box showed up on time - but had only 2 small heat paks in it and the water was in the low 60s. I had to run hot water in the sink and soak the fish - which were barely moving. Then I noticed the horse shoe crab had a large part of the side missing. If you are paying $59 for a crab - then you would expect the person boxing it would check for obvious damage. I emailed them and will see what their response is.... Rick
