I placed an order and it was shipped Fedex next day, however, the package was delayed (not salwaterfish fault). It was delayed 2 days and when the package arrived you could smell that some of the fish didn't survive. I was in contact with saltwater fish throughout the process and they instructed me what to do to get a refund or reorder. So I uploaded pics of what died. Well I thought the decorator crab and clam would survive so I didn't put them on the list of what died.(clam was closed and crab was moving barely. The decorator crab made its way to a rock and died. The clam opened with gaping mouth so I knew it was a goner too. What I loved is I explained this to Saltwaterfish and they included them in the shipment. A very professional and trustworthy company. and I will do business with them again.

Saltwater fish staff has been so helpful, had a shipping problem on delivery of our first order and one of the fish didn't make it and I was helped on how to make a claim , very helpful , I will order from hear again, quality of marine life is super.

Pros- Friendly and knowledgeable staff. A lot of sales. Pretty good selection. 15 Day Guarantee Cons-While they offer a 15 day guarantee on live stock it's essentially one and done. For example you could have a fish die and get credit for it and then 6 months later get a totally different fish and if you use that store credit there's effectively no guarantee on that fish because if it were to die they won't replace it or give you credit for it since you used store credit.

A few weeks ago I lost about 3,000 dollars worth of fish due to a 3 day power outage it was horrible, I’ve been using saltwater since to restock some, I’ve placed 4 orders since and except for 1 maroon clown all have arrived alive and healthy even when my last order was a day late it was packaged so well that they survived! Will definitely keep using them.

The Internet ad said that there were to be free shipping today and that shipping cost that is shown on the invoice will be adjusted out. When I place the order the free shipping threshold increased and did not deduct as stated. Very disappointed but didn’t cancel since I wanted the items.

I ordered 1 powder blue tang (beautiful fish, larger and more vibrant than I had hoped) and 1 canary Blennie (brighter color and larger than I presumed) and 1 sand sifting starfish (smaller than I’d hoped and DOA… but the refund to my card was very prompt). Exceptional service, quality marine life, prompt refund. I’ll use this company again. Highly recommend !

Over the last 5 or 6 years every order from saltwater fish has been DOA, not all items but most. While I do agree that SWF will resend the DOA items those seem to be out of stock. Also, when a free item is to be included it never arrives, again, out of stock so you never get it unless you reorder and pay the box charge. All in all, every single fish has arrived DOA, 50% of Invertebrates arrived DOA and about the same with corals. Very little heat packs even to my far north location. Customer service is great on some days and a crap shoot the next so just beware before ordering.

shipping speed though pricey is very slow fedex shipments although pricey are always very late... why always the high delivery prices for slow late delivery times?
