Been with RingCentral for over 5 years and have nothing but ongoing issues with their service. The support team is awful to deal with and a colossal waste of time as nothing ever seems to get resolved. It you have a TCR issue, don't bother trying to get it resolved. Their internal team will delay for months and then reject your repeated attempts to be able to send text messages from your numbers. After 5 years of being a customer, I've reached my breaking point and finding an alternative for my company.
if you want to get stuck in an endless loop of paying for a phone service you may not use for the rest of your life then sign up with them! They make it virtually impossible to cancel, and when you are in the "window" to cancel they magically don't process your cancellation payment, say they have no record, and ghost you until you they can auto renew you into another 12 month contract.
It's been a year and still you guys are not activating my messages I might be switching from you guys because my services are being affected
No guidance. I never used the service. When I called to terminate, it was not easy. Then a week after that, onboarding team called to make sure I would know how to use it. It was a weird protocol from RingCentral.
Have been using primarily as a business phone and has been a positive experience.
After seven years with RingCentral we had to move our direct debit mandate to a new business account. We told them that we were moving to a new account and had to set up a new direct debit mandate. Somehow, the new direct debit didn’t work as planned.We were contacted urgently by RingVentral to pay the account. We paid the account. The following day RingCentral cut off our dental practice phones. We spent hours calling them but they refused to reinstate the phones. On day four of no phones, I cancelled my patients and spent two hours trying to sort it out. In the end I paid the bill again by credit card and the phones were immediately reinstated. It turns out that their internal systems would not recognise the payment we had already made as it was not paid by credit card or direct debit. So even though we had paid the bill and had never missed paying a bill in the previous seven years, we were left for several days with NO PHONES AT ALL, not because we hadn’t paid the bill, but because of RingCentral’s internal systems. A dental practice’s phone lines are important to those in pain, people with infections and those who have experienced trauma. I do not understand why they didn’t talk to us before they cut off the phones? I do not know whether they would cut off hospitals and doctor’s surgeries? I do know they didn’t apologise or show the slightest remorse for their unwarranted actions. If you’re looking for a telecoms partner who will support your business and communicate effectively with you, look elsewhere. I cannot express how disappointed I am in their lack of professionalism.

Horrible customer service and support. We have completed our contract and are leaving. Problems from the start never fixed despite numerous attempts and you never get the same person twice. They get you sucked in and thn you are stuck with THE WORST phone system ever. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
Following months of no customer support in setting up our account, we canceled renewal. However RingCentral renewed account without honoring first cancelation. When I called in after RingCentral did not honor our original cancelation, RingCentral representative worked with us to re-honor prior cancelation and refund renewal fee. Apparently, RingCentral is too large to communicate within the company even though RingCentral's mission statement would have customers thinking RingCentral is a communications company!
Mediocre platform, they do some things well but other features are difficult to use. Their support team can be very difficult to deal with and it's very frustrating to get account support for non-basic issues that would require a real human being. Worth giving them a try but don't have great expectations.
I didn't think I'd be dealing with these issues signing up for just a individual number but everything about just trying to cancel scream shady business practices from having to call them and jump through hoops to cancel from making their reps fill out lengthy forms about why the cancellation happened and their 30 day cancellation notice that they don't tell people about. Not to mention the platform is complicated and difficult to use. You shouldn't need to force people into paying for extra months of service they don't want if you have a legitimately good product. On top of that, they've clearly paid for positive reviews on Forbes and other reputable sites because none of them seem to mention anything about the cons of signing up (once again feeling tricked into something that is supposed to be a stellar product). TLDR don't sign up.
Ring Central seems to have issues with authentication often. I also don't like how you don't have the ability to log calls anywhere within the app - making it more customer service centric. We are looking a new solutions for our CS platform.

DO NOT SIGN UP - The platform is terrible, their customer support is terrible and they make it impossible to cancel. Go with anyone else but them.
Awful customer service.
I was charged over $3,000.00 dollars for a service where the contract is $1900.00
It is not suitable for health care / dental practice particularly and I have been requesting to terminate my contract. I am unable to take care of patients messages recall appointments, reminders messages or auto appointment reminders etc and paying twice the money. This is honest request and they are ignoring and remaining about contract and not helping to get out contract.
I signed up for this service for a business I purchased and ended up not using thew service. I had originally agreed to a 12 month contract which I paid even though I never used the service. When I called to cancel after the 12 months was up they informed me my contract had auto renewed for another 12 month period I was out of luck, couldn't cancel. This is absolutely NOT what I was told by the sales rep I worked with originally. This business is sneaky and deceptive, I would never trust them with my credit card number again. If you need a phone service, look elsewhere. There are far more trustworthy options out there.
