Ring Central is ok, but very expensive for small businesses. Also it can be somewhat tedious contacting customer support. Adding or subtracting lines is way too time consuming

The customer service is terrible. The initial persona who reached out about setting up service gave us a sales pitch and as soon as I said I was interested, he switched us to another member who then switched us to another member. I paid A LOT extra to be able to send SMS messages and then was told that it would take a couple of weeks to activate the SMS. It has been over 2 months and I still cannot send SMS messages. I cannot get the issue resolved and keep getting shuffled around.

They ghost their customers. They are literally ghosting their customers, we had to try to contact them about 5 times in 14 days just to purchase a plan and they all the time with 4 different representative just got our information and didn't contact back. It shouldn't be this hard to purchase a product. This company is not worth your time.

I cancelled one of my 2 accounts in May 2024 and I discovered they have been DOUBLE BILLING me for the last 3 months. I have now spent almost 3 hours on the phone and NOTHING is resolved. Their Customer service puts you on hold for hours at a time. You have to call multiple times to resolved issues. Additionally, the RingCentral interface is VERY COMPLEX you need an hour plus of training to use, and it does not integrate fully to our external CRM. I am pretty exhausted trying to manage this account. I've just been on a third call - on hold for 1Hr 12 Min still waiting.

We’ve been using RingCentral for a few years. It has worked well for us and the apps are user-friendly. If you need significant customer service, or are not comfortable with technology, RC and VOIP is probably not for you, but their pricing reflects that. They continually update their software with new features, which we appreciate.

I called for help with my account and left my number to get a call back and no one ever called me. Nobody answers the phone I don't feel like my calls are going through fast enough. How about some customer service.

For years I've enthusiastically recommended RingCentral to people. I even have a prior 5-star review for them on here! But after seeing what the experience is like for canceling a plan, I can't recommend them to anyone again. First, they force you to call in order to cancel. There's no technical reason they couldn't allow it in the billing area of the admin portal online, as they allow all kinds of other billing plans. Second, their wait times even just to get through to the cancellation line are very long. Every time I've called this week, it said there was an over 60+ minute wait time. Once it gave me an option to select having them call me back when time freed up. I selected it and confirmed the correct phone number. There were still 3+ hours left in their business hours that day, and they never called back. After my third day of calling this week and waiting a long time, I finally got through to someone. Then they ran through the whole script of trying to convince me not to cancel, despite me affirming repeatedly that I was cancelling because I didn't need phone service anymore. So even after everything it took to get ahold of someone, they still made the process extra tedious and annoying. If I need call services again in the future, unfortunately I won't be going with RingCentral again after this. I had good experiences with the service itself during the years I had it active, but this level of intentional bad customer service to try to force people to stay active isn't something I would support myself or recommend to anyone again.

This is an update for our previous review. After our initial review Ringcentral contacted us in time and we worked together and we have resolved our issues successfully. We believe there were misunderstanding on both sides about the service and terms, but we are glad that it's being fixed. We have been with Ringcentral for more than 15 years, their service have been very good until this time because the misunderstanding, we will continue to use Ringcentral. We do appreciate efforts made by Ringcentral to help us.

Calls drop all the time, people say they call and get nothing. I try to answer the phone, it says i'm connected but can't hear anything...overall this system is terrible.

It was easier to get help to do a test fax, now that there is a new option in the menu to say if you'd like help with fax issues. Thank you for adding that option. Also the staff that helped was more knowledgeable and helped more quickly with less explanation needed. Previous staff were great, but needed me to explain why I needed to do a test fax more and it took longer.
