Presto Music is the UK’s leading ecommerce site for classical and jazz recordings (CDs, DVDs, high quality downloads and vinyl), printed music, music books and musical instruments.
Buying from Prestoclassical since 2017 and it always has been a perfect experience. The fantastic choice of albums makes this shop an absolute must for classical music lovers. And their services are the absolute best. Easy to browse, easy to sample and easy to buy. Since I live in a remote place, I am only buying downloads. In order to make it easier for people plagued by a bad and intermittent internet connection, may I suggest the implementation of a way to use a download manager? This is especially relevant in view of the increasing size of the files. JPB
Very Good. I have been shopping in Presto Music for several years
Presto Music, along with Europadisc, is one of the two principal specialist suppliers of classical music in the UK. I think the particular virtues of Presto are: *The range and quality of music downloads that it offers. If you want to buy FLAC quality downloads this is the place to go to. *The excellent website which wherever available gives you chance to sample album tracks before deciding whether to buy. Also the composer data is invaluable: want to know your options for buying Bach's Cantata BWV24? The website immediately puts up 12 available versions. *Very good customer service. Orders are given a delivery timescale and the occasional delay in despatch caused by supply issues is always conscientiously flagged by email. Before buying I always check Presto prices and availability against what Europadisc can offer. I guess that roughly the same amount of my business goes to each of these suppliers. ( In a typical year I spend about £5000 on music.) The only time I may buy music elsewhere is when a large box set is published. Sometimes - though not always - these sets are significantly cheaper on Amazon.
I like the wide choice of classical and jazz, the information on the albums, the reviews, the samples, the competitive pricing and the useful app for digital playback
The phenomenal Andras Schiff recording I was listening to on Tidal in my car was your recording of the month. It is amazing in many musical ways. It took me a little while to notice while putting together my order piecemeal that the release was in fact the double CD package. Also, having replaced my receiver and CD player recently, I was not sure whether the FLAC recording would make a difference, but your pop-up was helpful even if Denon and Cambridge audio could not confirm they could deliver a better performance. I am fairly confident that the answer is yes. After placing the order, I decided to update my account with my new and more secure email address. This worked but when I tried to log in today your server insisted that I use my old address. I would also like to update my PW, but I am faced with creating a new account, which I will not do. I would like to try out your new link on my iPhone for all the recordings I have purchased and don’t want to lose that history. As of this evening I have not heard back from my email and chat was not working last night.
Great catalogue, well organised and informed. Choice of audio resolutions to download, would like DSD files too.
There is such a wide variety of music and musical choices to be made from Presto. I used to get the same experience at emusic.com but they have drastically cut back their catalogue over the past decade. There are so many selections that are no longer available and unfortunately I can not remember them all.
It’s all so straightforward and well-priced: I can choose from a variety of recordings, specify the format - for me, download, in the highest available resolution - pay and get my purchase in a minute of two, knowing that there is helpful support if - rarely - something goes wrong, and that it’d’ve cost more, elsewhere. What’s not to like?
Well, I think I am biased because early on (up to ten years ago I guess) I spent most of my time looking at your website and becoming more than familiar with the classical CD's that you have to offer, and I purchased quite a few items in that time. So I am trying to say that after all this time I feel a connection and an understanding for your company.
Since 2021 when I first discovered Presto Music I have appreciated the availability of harder to find classical music. I love the organization of your website and how user friendly it is to navigate, sample, select, and order music. I especially treausure the access to a music library that allows me to enjoy my music immediately after purchasing it while I await the physical CD to arrive in the mail (since I am in the US). The information about composers and reviews and analyses of their work is appealing as well as being able to purchase digital downloads.
Presto Music has not only a tremendous selection of classical music and jazz, but also a tremendous variety of purchase-options – cd's and many digital downloads. Aside from being a great online-shop Presto Music is also a great database for music lovers. Various newsletters inform you about new releases, you can listen to soundbites, and you can read a fine selection of reviews. All in all: One of my favorite online-shops as well as one of my favorite websites for getting information about new music.
Prompt and helpful reply.
Really easy to find what I want & their download system is great - they keep a backup copy so if your computer dies you can get another copy. The regular emails suggest things I'm interested in, too.
I knew what I wanted to purchase and had no difficulty finding it
Used Presto many times - no fuss!
Easy to use the website - finding the music I am interested in is always a quick search. Buying and downloading very straightforward too. Well done
A wonderful range of recoded music and excellent service. I really appreciate the regular updates of new recordings. The Presto Apps are excellent and the chance to have one's purchases in a Library that can be be streamed is first class. Presto is brilliantly run - well done!
Presto is great online store for jazz and classical music. I have been shopping at Presto for about 15 years. Things that could be better - Other payment options than just credit card - Some tracks have to long names. Which causes the problem that that file cant beunpacked in windows. I have idea if this is a problem on Mac. - No file format should be preselected in the online shop, imo. - Response time from customer service can sometimes be a bit slow. Besides these issues Presto is a great site if you are looking for jazz or classical music. I will continue to shop here and i defiently recommend them.
As an unabashed classical high-res download addict, I find you indispensable, and now I’m chowing down on jazz, too. Comments: Any chance of getting paypal as a payment option? Any chance of getting high-res downloads from Supraphon or Versailles?
Been a regular customer of theirs with more than a dozen of orders, and bought quite a few CDs from them in last two years. This time I was inquiring about if a specific CD is in a jewel case or digipack, as personally I prefer a jewel case. They replied it’s jewel case according to supplier. They suggested I could place the order and let them know, and they would make sure of it. Sounds right. It’s been two months since then and still have I not received this information, despite numerous emails I sent to them. It’s tiresome. I used to think they’re fine, but my feeling now is that they don’t put the customers’ best interest first, and there’s a lack of effective communication in customer service. Either they’re really slow in responding, or they choose what to reply for their convenience. This has made me browse more on Amazon these days. They may lose customers if they don’t make a change, if they do care.
