Presto Music is the UK’s leading ecommerce site for classical and jazz recordings (CDs, DVDs, high quality downloads and vinyl), printed music, music books and musical instruments.
Detailed and clear website which is easy to search and order from. Wide range of classical and jazz CDs and downloads. Fast service. Very reliable company.
Never had a problem with Presto - good choice of music, and good service thus far. I am happy.
Unfortunately the site changed the way to locate individual works. I found the new method more difficult to find the artist or work that i was looking for. Oterwise okay- download process wnt smoothly.
As always: easy to use, quick processing and best prices :-)
It would be nice if Paypal payment method is supported, even if that means an additional fee. This is important because I don't have to enter CC information every time (ideally never if using Paypal).
I've just ordered a mixture of jazz and classical downloads... a nice and easy site to use.
Huge selection of titles, reasonable prices I enjoy the listening to sample music
Used twice now to download .mp3 music and found it very easy and quick to use. Will use again.
Easy to use website, I found what I wanted quickly without any problem, pricing is competative. I've got an account so it was so easy to buy a digital download. In my experience, excellent!
My go-to resource for classical music. I enjoy being able to explore by composition, conductors and individual artists, and seeing review excerpts for even the most obscure recordings — the whole user experience shows that they genuinely care about the music. And I do love the special offers.
Great prices excellent website. Fantastic range very easy process to order and download music.
Good service until something goes wrong! I have placed a few orders with this company and was impressed by their service and value for money. Also for the vast amount of recordings that they can supply - even the obscure ones. However, I recently had a faulty CD and contacted them via email to request a replacement and the procedure for returning the faulty one. It will soon be nearly two weeks since my email and apart from one reply saying they would get back to me - nothing! I reminded them again last week and received the same email again. This is just not good enough and I will be reluctant to to order from them again in case something similar occurs... NB. I have now received a reply and a replacement is being sent. I have therefore amended my rating to three stars. The company really do need to get their act together if they wish to retain their customers... Malcolm E. Osman
Downloading from my wish list classical albums as Zip files containing music in the uncompressed FLAC format that were unavailable as CDs to enjoy in CD quality at excellent prices. I cannot recommend Presto highly enough.
Am I dealing with the same site/company which everyone else is!? I was overjoyed when I came across the Presto Music website. Full of lovely and great music. I duly placed an order for some vinyl albums (approx £116). When I completed the online ordering process I waited for the usual confirmatory email but received nothing (yes I checked my junk, etc.). Now, perhaps I incorrectly entered my email address (can't remember but most sites normally ask you to enter your email address twice to stop this type of error!). As I was wondering if Presto Music had actually received my order I thought I'd better contact them. BIG MISTAKE. Have telephoned multiple times during their office hours (no answer). Have left messages (no one has called back). Have sent emails but not received a reply (Presto Music automatically responds with: Thank you for contacting Presto music. Please be aware we are experiencing a high level of inquiries and it is taking us longer than normal to get back to every email with a personal response. We do apologise for this and understand your frustration, we do ask for your patience with this and kindness towards our staff as we get back on top of our inquiries and we will come back to you as soon as possible). Have tried their online Chat numerous times (no one available). Tried calling their shop and eventually spoke to someone who told me the online side of things was snowed under but she would try and get someone to telephone me but no one did! Have also tried telephoning this morning (during office hours) and all you get is their usual recorded message and then the line cuts out. I notice though that money has been taken from my account! I see that they got that bit right!! I can only speak as I've found them which is that Presto Music are easy to order from but impossible to contact. I can only hope that I get my order. Shame but I'm afraid that's my experience. PS. Just had a phone call from Presto Music. Whether this is coincidence or because of my Trustpilot review I just don't know. I've changed my original review from one star to two stars because the lady who called me was extremely polite and nice and pointed out that I had indeed originally entered my email address incorrectly which begs the question why their web site doesn't get you to enter it twice. Apparently my order was a received but I'm afraid I can't order from Presto Music again because I found it impossible to contact their customer services, which it not what customers want when purchasing online. If, as they say, they are incredibly busy then throw the customer a lifeline and give them an indication of response times, rather than leave the customer hanging in the air.
The whole process worked extremely well, from making my choice, the payment and downloading the digital file.
Easy transaction, competitive pricing. Found what I was looking for.
I'm looking for high quality classical music recorded in 96khz/24 bit. I am concerned that by using the filter option I'll not see a good recording that would suit me. Thus I leave it untouched and scroll past all of the 44.1kHz/16 bit recordings for fear of missing the higher quality ones. I also seek complete sets. For example I bought Mendelssohn: Complete String Quartets but it's actually spread over two different recordings. I wish there were a way to search for the entire collection of an artist's work without fear of missing something. And I actually wanted to buy Escher String Quartet's versions of these performances but the recording of 1&4 is not available in HD sound. The other performances are which seems strange because they do sell an SACD of 1&4 (ie- it's most likely an HD recording). But with that in mind, when there's a sale it's usually quite good and worthy of my purchase. And so I continue to purchase music from the site.
I get the regular email outlining current releases. I get the opportunity to listen the samples of the tracks. All very easy to handle. Purchase and download process excellent.
I live on the other side of the world but most of the time I find Presto has the best price. Sometimes, if the music is available only as a download and the download doesn’t include the pamphlet, Apple has the best price. Sometimes eBay, surprisingly, has a better price for a second-hand CD, though most sellers on eBay give the impression they think all classical music lovers have bottomless bank accounts. The only problem I’m having with Presto at the moment is slow delivery, and that isn’t their fault.
Immediate download of flac lossless music.
