The data interface is not good. You should be able to erase the data with a button instead of it doing it in the background when starting to record. The memory size is way too small especially for the price. External storage should also be an option.
First Time User of Water Logger I just purchased my first HOBO UL20 water logger. It worked perfectly when I programmed and deployed it. However, I had a little trouble using the HOBOware Pro software to correct for barometric pressure changes, but IT support walked me right through the steps I needed to take to correct my data. Now it will be even easier to use and process the data next time.
Fast shipping, right product, I'm a satisfied customer. My only qualm is the use of Styrofoam packing peanuts. They should explore reusable or recyclable shipping options. 07-31-2019 - found out the packing peanuts are corn starch! These will now get composted. Updated rating to 5 stars!

I do like your data loggers, but I recently pulled an older unit out for service. When I turned it on, it immediately asked for an upgrade. The upgrade downloaded and the unit stopped communicating to me by Bluetooth. I did try to reload the upgrade multiple times before I called in. The gentleman on the phone was sorry this happened, but needed to check on something for me. He took my information to get back with me later. He was going to give me an RMA to fix, I think. Never got a call back from him. Did have to buy another unit to fill the void. The new unit was delayed do to components not being available.

The customer service I received when I called Onset to inquire about this product was the best I have ever received from any company. And the tech specialist who helped me out was not the person who took my order, so I don't think there was a commission incentive. The product itself is surprisingly easy to use for someone who is not a techie. The free software walks you through it. As I write this I see it sounds like a paid review, but it isn't -- just honest feedback from a guy who was intimidated by the technology at first (but not now) and wishes more companies exhibited this level of customer service. I wish Onset was a company with which I could do more business, but this one datalogger is probably the only product of its kind I will ever need.

I bought 2 MX100 temperature loggers and 2 MX1101 temperature / Relative Humidity loggers for monitoring the new AC installed in my house. All 4 work fine. I export the data to MS Excel and plot the 4 temperatures and 2 RH data values on one chart. This allows me to compare upstairs to downstairs temperature, supply temperature to return temperature, etc. Be aware the response time is on the order of 3 to 5 minutes to reach 90% of new reading. I especially liked being able to down load the date from the loggers to my smart phone via the free App.
The UX100 temperature and humidity loggers, and software, are easy use. Ease of use means they will actually be used.
I have used their products for several years. Some of the instrumentation document is not as easy to follow as I would like, especially on the website. They work well once you figure out what you need.

I have used Onset Data Loggers (HOBO tidbit, DO logger) for over a decade and they have always performed well. I would give them 5 stars except for the fact that I recently purchased the underwater temperature loggers (Bluetooth) and have been a bit disappointed with the ease of downloading data when in the field. Communication between the logger and my Iphone only works when the logger is out of the water. Once the logger is retrieved, data download to the phone is seamless, however.
