The software downloaded is a 30 day trial. Not sure if I can reload at end of period to analyze my data which will take 6 months to collect although I have a second PC not loaded if that proves to be a problem. I do understand the permanent version of hoboware is is a good buy if you are a serious data collector.These hobo loggers are good but not cheap for a casual user like me. If possible maybe a rudimentary dumbed down of hoboware outputting a .CSV transfer to Excel spreadsheet. After all Hoboware is not really useful except for use with the hobo dataloggers.

Overall the loggers work great. Love the way the bluetooth can be disabled so they can't be tampered with when used in a public place. HoboMobile app is excellent. On my wishlist: - Being able to re-start the loggers after a pushbutton stop (the 4-channel UXM-120 can do this) - A different color or blink pattern for the LED's to know if they are actively recording or are awaiting a start command (again, the UXM-120 is clear on the current mode) - Use a battery I can find at any corner store. The 2/3-AA Lithium is expensive and hard to find. Would much prefer a CR123, or 9V, or even a Lithium AAA like, ahem, the UXM-120 (sensing a theme here?)

Purchased one of the new MX gateways. I could not get the device to start up. And when I attempted to reach Tech Support (5 calls over two days) the phone system cut me off twice, and the message center failed to take my recording once. I'm still attempting to reach tech support and hoping that this set of failures does not indicate that the company has been sold or that all the competent people I knew so well have left.
These are good instruments.
