Sent four 2-2 1/2 pound lobsters, steamed clams and lobster bisque to brother in MN. I have been sending him lobsters every year from another company and this year I chose Maine lobster now so it would be there for New Years eve. My brother stated that he received the best lobsters he had in years and that they were definitely fresh Maine lobsters as they had the blue tape. He was impressed, which is rare for him. I am glad that I chose this company.

BUYER BEWARE! One of the 3 lobsters ordered for our annual Christmas Eve dinner was absolutely dead on arrival. Had ordered in advance for priority overnight delivery 12/22 (in case there were any problems). Had paid for extra insurance as well as a holiday fee. Called "customer service" as soon as received. CS told me to email photo of dead lobster on its back - which was no problem, & I requested a replacement lobster for delivery 12/24. Received an em the next am ignoring my request - saying they would give only a credit to their store or my credit card. When I called CS again, they told me they had no more "order slots" to replace the dead lobster. So MLN wants the buyer to put up protection $ - but has no contingency for timely replacement. While they say shipping can be a cause for lobsters dying - anyone who has worked with lobsters before knows that if a lobster is DOA less than 24 hours after shipping, it was shipped that way or very close to it (and they can tell when they box them). Very poor business practice!

I had a dinner for two shipped to my parents who live across the country. I called their service line to ask a few questions. Being so close to the holiday, the wait was very long but they were very professional, friendly, and helpful. My parents were absolutely thrilled! Everything arrived as hoped, food quality was great. and we got a lovely photo of my 80+ year old parents wearing lobster bibs and huge smiles. What a great gift idea, especially during this time. I see some negative reviews about the lobsters not making it alive. Unfortunately, once it's in FedEx's hands, they can't control the delivery time. I paid a little extra for the insurance just in case. Worth it!

Edit, customer service reached out to me and is making it right. Updated 1 star to 4 star for this since they are making this mistake right. Didn’t receive the fresh lobster meat I ordered! Now have to replan dinner and eat a fresh lobster in front of my wife because her lobster meat for her rolls didn’t come in. Best they can do is reship the meat I ordered 3 days later in which the lobster would surely be dead. Spent 30 mins on the phone and best resolution they could provide me was re shipping the meat. No coupon for next order, no I’m sorry inconvenience item, nothing. They offered to give me a gift card to cover the meat which would have put me in the hole over $20 due to shipping and packaging. So instead of losing money and the order being late, the best solution was to reorder 3 days later and have to eat my lobster now and cook her something. Then do the reverse in 3 days. Terrible customer service. I get it, mistakes are made with packaging. However the fact that you are “not making it right” by only providing me what I already purchased 3 days after I was suppose to get them will make me order somewhere else from now on. Seems like per other reviews I’m not alone. Buyer beware!!

I've ordered 3 times from this company. The first time everything arrived on time and as ordered. The second time, the pound of butter was left out of the order. This final time, the lobster was left out. Based on my experience, if you order from this company you have a one in three chance of getting what you ordered. Customer service offered to refund my money for the lobster but refused to ship out the lobster that they forgot unless I bought another $70 worth of product. I'll go back to my regular lobster company in Portsmouth NH.

Just tried to order over the phone. Getting questions answered were like tooth extractions. This woman took my order then played, I'm not coming back for 60 seconds, so I left. We'll have steak on Christmas.

Order 1.5 to 2 pounds. $25 each . When lobsters arrived most dead and small like baby lobsters. Fault advertisement. Lies .

My third time ordering from Maine Lobster Now Ist Order, Fresh 2lb lobsters 2nd Order, 8 1.75 lb lobsters and 6 pounds steamers 3rd Order, 3 pounds Frozen Lobster Meat Originally from New England (MA) I appreciate quality seafood. Not one criticism of any product, quality or freshness. My 4 star vrs 5 star rating is based on Fed Ex deliveries. E. J. Villeneuve Florence, SC

Cost of crab&salmon $303.45 received five days later, spoiled. Be aware you will pay for ice packing $10.00 & insurance $8.50 buyer gotta read fine print:( not happy about this.

I received ( 2 )1lb steamers clams. (2) 1.5 lb. lobsters (2) clam chowders, (1) lobster bisque, (2) crab cakes, & 2 Whoopie pies. With 2 she’ll crackers, 2 butter warmers, who,e lemon, Maine sea salt 2 lobster bibs, 2 place mats and a Kate’s butter single stick. Arrived day of my birthday beautifully packed. Everything very, very fresh! The meal was fabulous. Thank you to my daughter and thank you Maine Lobster Now. I would recommend you highly.

Ordered lobster roll kit for 6 rolls and lobster bisque. For 6lobster rolls they sent one pound of lobster meat. A little skimpy I thought, not even 1/4 pound per roll. Checked other places of course after the fact and the rolls at Kellys had 1/2lb. Live and learn. Should have read the complaints first

I have ordered three time from this company. 3 times had to call customer service. Underweight items and under count scallops on orders. Of course, dealing with service is a pain. Had to take a picture, send them an email. They did make right, but a pain to do so. Third time I had underweight lobster in the bag. They sent 1/2 lb. instead of 1lb (clearly you could tell) This time I had to weigh the item on my own scale and take that picture, send it to them and yes they sent the correct bags. this was pretty bad customer service and their quality control in the warehouse is horrible. (I hope they fired someone over this) Unless they are tying to make more money from underweight items. Customers should not have to do this. I received no extra items or store credit,, no offer of such, just a we're sorry this won't happen again. Hmmmm, 3 times and over $1,000 later.... don't know if I will go back to this Maine Company as their are many others who will ship lobster.

FedEx failed to deliver my order as scheduled on Friday. Instead they delivered rotting lobster rolls on Monday. Maine Lobsters Now insisted that I take delivery of the reeking box in order to receive a refund. Be aware that you risk having to keep a disgusting box at your house until your next trash day if you order from them.

We were 100% pleased with our order. It arrived exactly when they said it would. It was well packed and absolutely delicious. I think New England lobster is the best in the world and this was exactly that, yummy authentic Maine lobster, and great swordfish.The quality was so far better than supermarket variety, so we will definitely ordering again. The shipping makes it expensive, so we can't do it every week, but will do it when we want to treat ourselves. I wish I could order from them every day.

I'm really fit to be tied. I placed an order in later July. I received a lobster tail that was greenish in color. Is it toxic? I don't know. I contacted the company, they told me to send them the order number and a color of the lobster and I did. I am still getting the run around. After numerous emails, and speaking with their staff, nobody knows what to do!! Then a woman sends me an email saying I must have had it for 3 months when it was less than a month that I contacted them. PLEASE STOP PLAYING WITH MY TIME AND MONEY!! PLEASE SOLVE THIS ISSUE! AS YOU REQUESTED, I STILL HAVE THIS TOXIC LOBSTER FROZEN AWAITING YOUR RESPONSE.

Ordered live lobster and other seafood for an Anniversary dinner. Contacted customer service when it did not arrive as promised, and told that minus their additional $10 "insurance" fee, there was no refund, replacement, or credit. Website says, "Free 1-Day Shipping and No Saturday Fee/$100 min". One would think their relationship with Fedex would provide them with some leverage. Item sceduled for Friday, did arrive Monday. I wish I could post the smell of the dead lobster and defrosted seafood that went directly into the trash. Happy Anniversary from Maine Lobster Now! Update.... 09/04/20 We just spoke after they reached out. They stated FedEx won't take responsibility for live shipments. We again expressed our frustration in paying for spoiled food, and suggested they revisit method of charging for "guarantee", as there is already a $10 box charge, and competitors have a much lower shipping guarantee fee. They agreed to revisit the policy, and re-ship the order at no charge. That is certainly fair,and all we wanted in the first place. I'm taking a leap of faith here, and in light of their reaching out and hopefully favorable resolution, will go to 4 stars. Fingers crossed!

Truth be told I have ordered twice and the first time was flawless. The second time i ordered 6 lobsters and only 1 was alive. There was a funky smell when i opened the box and the ice had melted. It was a super hot day in AZ so i could understand this. What I couldn't understand was Maine Lobster now not replying to phone calls, emails, or web requests to speak to anyone. After 6 attempts to contact with no acknowledgement. It the order comes all alive you are great. If it comes dead don't expect them to pay attention. No customer service = no more business

Beware: free shipping over $100 does not mean free shipping. You will be charged $10 for the container the tails are shipped in. Most probably my fault in not reading the fine print. Tail meat came out the color of mud after sous vide cooking. Incidentally, they also tasted terrible. Wrote to them about this condition along with the recipe I followed to if the tails were the problem or my recipe. Yet to hear back from them. Conclusion, must have been tails way passed the expiration date. Moral of the story - go back to buying lobsters and lobster tails from Bristol Farms. Tails from Whole Foods are great too.

Lobster tails were old and had to be thrown out as soon as they were thawed. Rotten old tails were sent and I spend over 430.00. Terrible experience. When I filled out their survey they only asked how their marketing was, never asked me if the product was edible.
