Service fantastic. Immediately offered to refund and great customer service offered. But I bought 2 different suppliers of double walled cardboard boxes due to my different packing sizes. I believe the Macfarlane boxes although sold as double walled are far thinner and inferior to the other supplier's thickness and strength. And sadly at 50% more expensive for 10 bigger boxes than other supplier who provided 20 slightly smaller boxes much stronger. I had hoped to be able to send these Macfarlane boxes overseas but now have to reinforce each box with another box wrapped around it to strengthen it as 2 boxes packed on top causes the bottom box to start bulging. The other supplier has much stronger boxes able to handle multi level packing. UPDATE: After Email discussion: UPDATE on being required to send at my cost all the boxes for a refund without my return postage being paid my reply is: Disappointing to say the least. But my feedback still stands as Macfarlane double walled boxes being inferior to others at half the price. I paid £30 for 10 boxes of what I expected to be a far superior box and am sadly disappointed. I explained to your representative I had already packed 2 boxes with clothing for overseas delivery and found them grossly inadequate in strength to even allow another one of the same filling to be placed ontop and had to double reinforce them to be worthwhile. First I was told I could return the unused boxes for a full refund. The fact your email now says I must return all the boxes for a refund as you only sell compete packs when I already told Amy that 2 had been repackaged with two other boxes taped around them so they could never be reused and now I must unpack them and return the damaged boxes for a refund and still pay pounds for return post. Misleading advertising led me to order the wrong product.

Sharp and on the money.

We order from Macfarlanes on a regular (almost weekly basis). The quality of the packaging materials they provide is far better than some of their competitors. They also have a very helpful customer services team. I would recommend them. So why not five stars you ask? Macfarlanes have recently changed the way they deliver their orders. We can sometimes receive part orders in up to 3 or 4 separate deliveries, from different delivery companies. We run a busy retail store, the drivers do not provide delivery notes, they often just dump and run, meaning we than have to piece together the order over a few days and treble check that all the items have been received correctly. Secondly, Macfarlanes have recently stopped supplying art boxes, so we now have to go to another supplier for these, again apparently because of delivery issues In summary, quality products, but their 3rd party delivery infrastructure needs reviewing.

Excellent service very fast delivery and great product

We paid for the next day delivery option as we needed the boxes in time to spend a particular day packing (monday 27th August). The boxes did not reach the warehouse in time to be sent out at 7am on Friday 24th. When I called at mid day asking if they could be delivered from Dartford to Plumstead I was told they could not be delivered that day, or early on the bank holiday Monday when we were planning to pack. Due to this we have lost 1 out of the 3 days we had to pack up our 2 bed flat. I have not been offered any compensation or the extra money back we paid for next day delivery. The boxes should be delivered between 8am and 12pm today.
