although we had horrendous issues with the delivery (to be honest you couldn't make the story up!) Fran in customer services did her very best to get to grips with the issue and all turned out OK in the end. Excellent customer services polite and determined exactly what is needed when you are a little stressed! Well done Fran!

I had some renovations done to my home a few months ago and tried to save money by ordering packing boxes on eBay. The eBay seller was completely incompetent and stitched me up with a ton of broken and dirty boxes that were essentially useless and too heavy to return for a refund. It wasted a lot of time and I had a rapidly approaching deadline to meet. I then tried Macfarlane which turned out to be no more expensive and the customer rep kindly made sure that all the boxes I ordered were carefully packed to avoid any more problems. Everything went smoothly and it's only because of them that I managed to get the packing done and vacate my home in time for the renovations. I will definitely be using Macfarlane again in the future and can't recommend them highly enough.

I was a little disappointed that i wasn't given any details on when the order was going to be delivered, luckily i arrived home from work just in time to intercept the first part of the order. A text msg or email with the delivery schedule would have meant all the difference

Fran helped me with an enquiry about a product. She gave me good straight forward information and together we found the answer to my dilemma. Very refreshing was the absence of all the crappy disclaimers and hedging that so called customer (I don't) care departments mete out. Only half my order was delivered due to technology issues with the courier. MacFarlane customer service stepped in, credited my delivery charge and arranged for alternative supply. Good recovery of an unfortunate situation!

DHL were having technical issues and I was unable to get any delivery information. On contacting Macfarlane, I spoke to an extremely helpful employee, Hayley Scott. She managed to sort the delivery out and kept me fully informed throughout by phone and email. Her help and advice was truly above and beyond the call of duty and I’ll certainly be using this company again given how much they care about the customer and good service.

Received an item partly damaged and contacted Rosie in Sales, who was very helpful and without quibble agreed to replace it free of charge and send it out for next day delivery.

I have no major issues with the product itself. My beef is that it is now delivered on a pallet and the driver will not take the pallet away with him, leaving us with the problem of disposing of the pallet. We've ended up having to saw the pallets up and take them to the recycling centre - a time-consuming exercise.

My ONLY comment is the speed and navigation of the web site. Things keep moving and covering up what you're looking at, it's slow to load and navigate around. I know it's relatively new, but it needs to be re-engineered. Our own website gets great feedback from customers, both in clarity and speed, so I'd get someone not involved (i.e. an external viewpoint) with it's design to have a good look and get it improved.
