Found the Lottie website very helpful at filtering appropriate care homes. It might be helpful for en-suite rooms to be identified as being wet rooms with toilet or just toilet only. Also it might be helpful to have more information on whether the gardens are with terrace and seating areas, i.e. nice places to sit in the warmer months, rather than just whether it has a garden. Information on access to the community and the homes' policy for this on a regular basis would be helpful.

When plunged into the challenging world that is dealing with a relative in hospital who now needs a care home to be released, I typed in the search for highly rated care homes in my area. Lottie popped up and I took advantage of the easy search facility within the site to see brochures and read information about many homes in one place, hoping to speed the filtering process! I found this very useful, then had a call from delightful Katy who explained the site offers a search for you service , where they would undertake the phone calls and enable homes with vacancies to call you direct! Within 20 mins of agreeing to help - heaven knows it’s a minefield- I had a care home offering a visit appointment for a couple of days later… wow! Another home rang in the next ten mins with an offer and my husband had a call from our number one choice home to say” pop by we have a room available. “ This was Weds pm , the manager of the home visited relative in hospital that afternoon to check suitability, and by Friday afternoon they were moved in to a wonderful facility ! Fantastic service and all free! Cannot recommend highly enough for speeding a long difficult process and easing our stress significantly in a heartbeat!!! Thank you Lottie forever grateful !!!
It was very helpful to have information from you but I didn’t expect to be contacted by several care providers so felt a bit under pressure to make a decision .

Excellent , puts everything in one place , saves time and confusion, only sends the nursing/carehomes (in our case we asked for nursing) with vacancies so no disapointments or timewasting . Would recomend this for anybody looking for a care or nursing home for their loved ones.

I have been reading Lottie’s website articles for the past year and you come across as the most flexible, friendly and “with it” agency in the UK. I rang today for some general advice & the support, energy, knowledge and level of professionalism came across in bucket loads. It is clear that Lottie’s offers a family approached sense of responsibility and care towards not only their clients but anybody that visits their website or rings them. All care is not the same and it is not economically fair or sensible to pay the same rate for carers doing different jobs. I love how Lottie’s recognise levels of need and how fun and quick they are to speak with. They just get it - they think like a disabled person who gets on with life. This is THE place to go if you want things done right first time (or fixed right away) and a team that cares and makes good economical decisions with you.

Lottie is a very useful site but i did find that they over-communicated and it got a bit confusing. I also am tired of having to rate everything. However, they are very responsive which I also appreciate 😊.
lovely introductory chat with one of the care advisors. Friendly and helpful and made me feel I could ring anytime with any care home related questions. I didn't know this service existed but this call felt like a warm hug at a very difficult time.
