I am so glad I came across Eva today. She was so helpful and went above and beyond to help find my dad a care home place today. I was ready for giving up. Your so lucky to have such a lovely helpful lady working for your company. Please say a big thank you to Eva for me

I received a phone call not long after finding there wasn’t a space available for respite at a local care home. I was asked if I needed any help in finding a suitable one for my dad’s needs. I got a list by email and was able to sort things pretty much hassle free. Without the help I doubt I’d have found the home we did. Such a great service I didn’t know existed.

Honestly, it was so good to speak with Klara at Lottie. What had felt like a pretty frustrating and depressing day was made lighter and easier by her clear understanding of the issues and practical suggestions to help us step through the process. Fantastic service!

We received really helpful, friendly and informative information about prospective living spaces for our father. Everyone knows it involves making difficult decisions for those you love and care for so much. Lottie helped to ease that pressure with their help and reassurance. Thank you.

Showed compassion and persistence in trying to seek a care home on our behalf. Our Lottie care expert Joe was just lovely.

Got a useful short list for visiting carers. Quick and easy to do and felt secure I would not be chased by care companies. In the end did not act upon it at the time as circumstances improved slightly but feel ready to do so when required.

When Dad was admitted to hospital and then a rehabilitation unit, we assumed he would return home, as he had done in the past. When we were advised to receive the best care he would need to go into a nursing home, it came as a great shock. We were handed a list of suitable homes in the area and basically told to get on with it, and felt pressurised into making a decision quickly, to free up the bed Dad was occupying. We did tours of the local homes and reviewed the Care Quality Commission reports and reviews. They were all much of a muchness and we resigned ourselves to the fact this is how nursing homes are, so chose what we thought was most suitable. Within the first week we could see Dad was not receiving the correct care, he quickly became depressed, withdrawn and lost his appetite. By chance Mum heard the Radio 4 interview with Chris from Lottie and we called the following day. When I spoke to Eva it was such a relief, it was the first time I felt somebody really appreciated what we were going through, she was patient, compassionate and reassured me there were good homes out there. Eva and Katy then supported us throughout the process of finding the right care for Dad, in just under 2 weeks he was transferred to a new home, the equivalent of moving from a 1-Star to 5-Star hotel. Not only did Eva and Katy help us to find a wonderful new home for Dad, but they also provided valuable information around pre-assessments, changing councils and where to find specialist advice on funding, which led us to find an excellent Financial Planner through SOLLA. Dad is now thriving in his new home, and we have Lottie to thank for that. I hope this company goes from strength to strength, because when faced with having to put a loved one into a home, all families should receive this level of compassion and support. The standard of care in the UK is not good enough, thankfully Lottie is paving the way in ensuring the best homes are recognised and I hope that will lead to an overall improvement for everyone.

I needed advice and support when both my parents fell ill, one in hospital and the other not far off joining him. Put in touch with Eva at Lottie, she offered a wealth of information and options specific to my situation and my parents needs. It gave me a one-stop place to get expert help, navigate the care options available now and what might be needed later on as the care level required increases. I was able to organise some immediate support very quickly, and this allows my parents to recover but also allows me to plan, think, breath a little and function. Juggling work, family and the care for elderly parents is hard. Communication was brilliant throughout the process and continues to be so.

Joe Lister from Lottie picked up on my enquiries to local nursing homes and phoned to offer personal assistance in finding a suitable home able to offer suitable nursing respite for an elderly friend in hospital. His support was invaluable. He went above and beyond any expectations and even set up a visit for me yesterday afternoon with the manager. We are now very reassured.

Really helpful to talk through options for convalescence care with someone who could answer all our questions. Conversation with Katie felt like a genuinely caring conversation & at a stressful time it was really helpful to have someone do the leg work in finding us a list of options.

The company reached out to me once I’d had a ‘sorry’ from a care home. They listened, managed to spell my dad’s name correctly (big plus!) and their search results matched my stringent criterion. They followed up and took on board my frustrations in trying to contact a home through my own search, giving me a direct number which resulted in a speedier conclusion. They weren’t intrusive or pushy. Thank you.

I felt very supported, and that Joe really listened to me to find out how best he could help. He found a small selection of homes for me to consider. Helping me by sifting through all the very many homes online, so that I could focus on talking to suitable ones, was an immense help.

Immersing one into the world of care is not for the faint hearted. A very informative broadcast on Radio 4 (BBC) alerted me to a care company called Lottie. A friend in another city, also informed me of this interview with the founders. I needed a carer for an interim period. Their site provided very useful research functions to assist sourcing a registered carer. Unfortunately, on contacting some of the agencies, it quickly emerged that they did not provide service for the short term. Klara Coxill of Lottie expertly and openly suggested other avenues once we reappraised the requirements. Fortunately, her leads helped solve a pressing problem. Further, had that not worked out, Klara, was happy to be recontacted to assist further. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm and wish them all the success for their future.
