Kresta Blinds owes me $613 for the last four months and have repeatedly failed to respond to my requests for re payment. I paid $613 as 50% deposit for a blind in July. In Sept I was told that it was no longer going to be available and that I would be reimbursed. I have now made three calls to the Canberra office and one to the accounts Dept in WA with no result except reassurances. Looks like the small claims court next. Kresta - In response to your comments regarding my review which I have cut and pasted below. We have been dealing with your North Lakes store and have experienced a lack of urgency when having calls returned or not ringing at all! I can't stress enough how Customer Service should be just that "Customer Service" and this is something we have not received. I stressed that we would like a full refund of the track but to no avail. This was from the North Lakes (Charlene) Store and Sam at Customer Services Queensland. Charlene actually said to my partner "I am not cranky with you not am I annoyed with you" which is deplorable considering she is talking to a customer and not the other way around. It's like dealing with people that just don't see that what Kresta is doing is plain wrong. I stand by my comments that we will no longer be recommending friends and family to your company. I would not like them to have the same experience and can have a better after sales service from your competitors. Please let me know if you can (if anything) commit to a full refund? DO NOT BUY FROM KRESTA!! My experience ..... I was advised that my vertical blinds needed a new internal track and therefore ordered and paid for one a few months ago. When the fitter came to fit the track he saw immediately what the issue was and fixed it in a matter of seconds. The screw on the track had not been adjusted properly. Therefore not needing the track now I requested a full refund. Kresta constantly didn't return my calls which was very frustrating. Finally today, after getting through to their Customer Service for Queensland, I was informed that a fitter came out so I was still liable for the call-out fee of $83. Totally unacceptable but in the end realised I cannot waste any more time and energy with them. I will never purchase anything from Kresta again. I feel totally 'ripped off' by this company. DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE!!!
Have been waiting since July for my shutters because the check measure was constantly rescheduled by the company. Initially I said it was fine to wait for everything to be installed together and changed my mind when I heard other people were having issues - they didn’t reply. I followed up a month later again. They then advised a month ago that they would update people weekly on their orders but did not.
Product is OK, but service APPALLING. After 2 failed installation dates (and each time that required me taking time off work for no result), my awning was finally put up on September 12, but it came without the remote control and also missing a few key bolts. Installer did his best, but now I have an $8,000 awning attached to my house that I CANNOT USE because no-one has been able to help fix the problem in spite of 1 visit in person to the showroom and numerous phone calls to the installation company. The sub-contractor installer is still trying to help but no-one is listening to him or responding to his emails either. Six weeks waiting on a remote and some bolts is ludicrous! Australian Consumer law says I am entitled to a refund if a product is not fit for service and clearly an awning that I can't wind out due to the absence of a remote is NOT fit for service. I'm totally fed up with the buck passing going on between the Kresta Penrith showroom and the installation company and even more upset about total lack of communication. No-one has EVER returned a message left on the answering machine. They seem to just take the $ and run!
Hello Kreasta, You emailed me a tax invoice amount at $1,125 yesterday: Caringbah store taken $563 from my credit card account on the 29/06/19, Regents Park store taken $567.62 on the 9/08//19 from my credit card account. Later on I find out I was charged 1% fee by Regents Park store without inform me. The total amount I was charged = $1,130.62 instead of $1,125. Also I was promised invoice date is 29/06/2019 when your sales came on that day to do measurements as I was rushed to get this in for FY 2019. I wasn’t told 1% fee occurred for credit card payment, you did not charge for the first deduction but second. Obviously something wrong from your side as it is inconsistency. Please refund me $5.62 ASAP. Hello Kresta, This is my last resource to contact you, I have tried to email you customer service email address and email has been bounced back! Reference No.LN177817 This is what I was going to tell you: Letter to Kresta on the 13.10.19: Hello Kresta, I am a returning customer as I had good experiences in the past, but unfortunately my luck seems run out with you:It took a month to get some one to my investment unit to do quote, with a few hours notice, deposit $563 has been immediately taken on the same date 29.06.19, another $567.62 has been taken on the 09.08.19, other then the staff was rude, and the curtains have not been installed properly, I am still waiting for a tax invoice after called your customer service on the 4th of Oct that I was promised invoice will be back dated to 29.06.19 on the 29.06.19. Maybe I should talk to ATO in this matter, and I am not going to use Kresta EVER again.Goodbye Kreasta, forward me tax invoice asap, otherwise I will make complaint to Fair Trading Dept, plus report to ATO, how dare you took money from a customer's account like me without issue a tax invoice after nearly 4 months!
Terrible lack of communication. False information supplied from the get go. Salesman came inhome. Said blinds would take 4-5 weeks. Turned out to be 10weeks until the were installed. With many follow up calls made by myself. Never an update had from the company. They wanted 50% money on sales day and 50% 7 days before install date. Install day came. Blinds are all indented as they have been packaged badly from CHINA!! Was never informed they were coming from China! Wouldn't have purchased if this was the case. Now WE have to make time and go back in to pick a different fabric! Waste of our time and then told it will be another 4-5wks until they come. Company is a joke. They take your money and run. Installer on the day told us he was the only installer for Adelaide and asked if anyone was looking for a job. Highly dissatisfied with the whole ordeal. Should have just kept the news paper we had up when the house was build would have been so much cheaper and less hassle.

I have paid 50% deposit for my 4 blinds. Kresta showroom Belrose never ring back to advise when installation will be. It's been 7 weeks. I'm getting poor customer service.
I placed an order for $5.8K for blinds and curtains in April 2019 on the promise of a 5 week delivery and paid 50%. The 5 week mark came and went and I had to make numerous phone calls to secure installation in mid-July. I had to pay the remaining 50% before Kresta would schedule delivery. When delivery day came, the curtains and had been incorrectly measured and the sheer fold for the blinds had been overlooked somehow... The only thing they got right were roller blinds work $400. Eight weeks later - I'm still trying to get a satisfactory response from Kresta. They will neither provide me with delivery date or refund money. I feel that i have been ripped off $5.4K. The phone number in WA and the Belrose (NSW showroom), just rings out most of the time. I've spoken to a few people, who were sympathetic but have done nothing. The State Manager even tried to charge me an additional $400 for installation.
Every aspect of our dealings with Kresta have been unsatisfactory. From the sales lady who sold us a product that was unfit for purpose. The blind selected is not suitable for the space, resulting in issues including droop to one side, cord snapping and flex in the product. The sales showroom staff have been unresponsive, requiring repeated phone calls and chasing to get a response and then the buck passing starts. After weeks and weeks of having our own old sheets in the front window throughout the majority of winter, it took emails threatening to take the matter to the Ombudsman to get a response. Even then, the response from management was slow and we had to chase. Finally, the installer's personal hygiene was extremely poor, requiring us to air out the room he entered (for only 5 minutes) for several hours and to spray Glen20 to remove the odour. I would NEVER use this company again. The stress they caused, the time spent chasing for a poor quality product is ridiculous.

SEE UPDATE AT END... Having endured a painful and protracted number of errors to complete the installation of a few simple blinds, this company deserves a zero rating from this customer. Most communications were greeted either by an answering machine saying: "this mail box is full and you cannot leave a message" to "I will get ...?.... to call you back straight away", which NEVER happened. The product initially supplied was not what was ordered and one of the blinds was not square. The "correction" required was related to the appropriate section. On follow up a week or two later, there was no record of any correction to be done. It had been lost. Start again and reactivate the correct brief - installer arrives to install and the correction had not been done and a missing fitting had not been supplied. So, back to factory. Final installation done and completed over 2 months from initial order. Definitely not recommending Kresta to anyone after our experience. An agreeable refund of $'s might just help us to feel less negative about the company - a a heart felt apology wouldn't go astray either.. ! Result: blinds are good, work well etc., but what a painful journey to get there! UPDATE: Saw a response from someone called "Kresta" - not sure that's your name! Keeping it anonymous for some reason...? You ask which store we dealt with. We called the number in the website and due to our location, I think our job was issued to Belrose. ALL calls to that showroom, if that's what it is, were never answered and all messages left, if the answering machine wasn't blocked for being too full, were never returned. Somehow, finally desperate, we managed to get a response from the lady who came to measure up the job, Liz. She seemed to be as helpful as she could be and agreed that the treatment given to us was very poor but was out of her control to be able to take it any further. Interesting to see that the "bad" star rating for Kresta is larger than the "good". Never seen that before for any business. Good luck staying IN business!
I'm still waiting on getting my "basic"blinds.....9 weeks later... not one call from Kresta to explain why there is a delay or to apologise...do not use Kresta....going elsewhere... consider my deposit an error in judgement...
I had windows measured for shutters mid April and told I had a 10-12 week wait. I paid a 50% deposit and am still waiting 17 weeks later. I was given an expected date previously of July 12 (a month ago). The store said the shutters have been made but can’t tell me when I can expect them. They refused to refund my 50% deposit so that I can try elsewhere. After 20 weeks, I finally had an install date. The installation didn’t happen due to a supposed misunderstanding. The installer came 3 days later as we insisted. The blinds didn’t fit the 3 windows. Even if the blinds had fitted, they were not what we requested from the rep. We are now being sent from person to person trying to get a refund as no one we speak to has the authority to make a refund. They have the authority to take money, but not refund apparently. The phone line to Kresta is out of service today and no one is answering at Caringbah.
Mita was my first introduction to Kresta who came to measure up and quote. She was efficient and pleasant and ensured I understood the quote. When the blinds were ready, Brad arrived and installed them in a in a professional manner. I was a bit concerned at the way the blinds were hanging and indicated this to Kresta; within days two gentlemen came out and explained how to raise and lower the blinds effectively. Happy with the blinds and my experience with the Kresta crew.
Absolutely shocking from start to finish. Cancelled the initial measurement appointment After being commissioned they didn’t deliver on agreed time and then cancelled initial installation. They then came to install our 2 part blind (sun shade & black out blind). Only the sun shade fitted. Told us that our window was unusual shape. THEY MEASURED THE WINDOW AND MADE CUSTOM BLINDS - AND THE SUN SHADE FITTED. Now waited 3 months for black out blind to be installed today. You guessed it! Called at 5pm to cancel installation. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
While we have found the service & product excellent in the past, our most recent dealings were less than satisfactory. Communication issues and poor timely responses to enquiries really let them down on our last purchase.
