Unfortunately one of the items in my delivery was missing - contacted the sales team and the issue was resolved in an efficient and timely manner. Thank You Matthew for such excellent service.
Brilliant service. The knives were here is just about twenty four hours. Lovely knives too. We’ve had a set for a long time and these are a present for our son
Quick shipment, great service
Terrific service and prices!
Great set of knives & quickly dispatched
The knifes arrived on time in appropriate packaging with the free present. Excellent service.
Website easy to navigate, huge choice to suit any budget. Delivery in 24 hours. Amazing quality. A birthday gift for a huge meat eater - excellent product
I had to cancel my order as it wasn’t going to arrive in time for a friends birthday. I emailed Matthew and he cancelled the order and refunded me promptly (replied within about 10 mins) The customer service was second to none! Thank you matthew!
It'll be alright as long as the knives don't arrive damaged. If they do this company expect YOU to pay for the return. Ordered what have turned out to definitely be fake steak knives, 2 of which are damaged (handles) to a point where they cannot be used. Customer Service is non existent, they repeatedly fail to answer any questions I ask. Will definitely not buy from again
I felt obliged to write a review, as I searched for KitchenKnives.co.uk on Google/Trustpilot, before purchasing and was a little concerned by the other low reviews. I was only swayed by hundreds of positive reviews I found on another review website. The service was excellent. I received my order in 2 days and the I am very pleased with the products. I was a little concerned by the age verify thing (having no experience dealing with a website like this having never ordered any age restricted item on the internet before) but after reading another review reporting in a similar vain I decided it was bonafide. Further to this I got an email from one of the KitchenKnives team of how to complete the process and assuring me I didn't need to take any further action. A* service!
Having bought items global knife set of this company and on delivery finding damage only for it to be returned immediately that’s was over a month ago and yet to receive a replacement then to find one of their representatives had stated that I had somehow caused the damage due to cutting a tie wrap“”” their customer service is a joke a complete shambles as for refunds on a cancellation of an order it was a constant battle of emails to eventually get my money back 3 weeks later. i enquired about a credit note or voucher as a way of compensation for stress caused but to no avail. AVOID AT ALL COST AVOID AVOID CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH
Ordered Wusthoff knives. Delivered confirmed and goods recieved..excellent price and service.
Well very disappointed received refund after ten weeks. Shame
I recently purchased a Hendi Nakiri Knife from Kitchen Knives (KN). When the knife arrived I unpacked it. It was larger than I expected and quite heavy as well. It was formed in the Japanese style, tho' I have no idea whether it actually was made in Japan. As it was a intended as a gift and because I was dubious about its general appearance I then tested it by attempting slicing a tomato with it. I did not weigh the knife but if it had arrived with a decent cutting edge, the tomato skin would have been sliced very easily by the weight alone. In fact I had to apply pressure, along with a back and forth sawing action before the skin gave way. I decided it was simply not worth the £38.00 I had paid for it and generated a return immediately. Because I was specifically asked to provide details of my reason for wanting to return the knife in a covering letter I did exactly that. Having cleaned the knife thoroughly, in hot soapy water I posted it back, in pristine condition and in its original packaging, to KN on the following day. If I had refrained from being honest and just said that I didn’t like the knife, I would probably have received a refund without any problem, so KN’s request for a covering letter feels rather like a catch 22. A day or so later, after the knife had arrived at their Lancaster office, I received the following email from KN which read: "We have received your return today, however as a food preparation item we cannot accept a used knife. Please let me know the best address to return for you." Having since spoken to KN they are adamant that as the item is now 'used' they would not be able to sell it and therefore they cannot refund my payment. I am rather ashamed to say that during the last call, I lost my temper, which I regret; in mitigation, the attitude of the phone reps., was utterly dismissive and lacking in any empathy or understanding, to wit, “Kitchen Knives, do not operate a sale or return business”. My response to that is; if I buy a knife, I purchase it in good faith, ie. I expect it to be fit for purpose. How on earth can I ascertain its functionality if I do not try it out? The knife has been returned to me, but it is hard to imagine what use it will be put to; chopping kindling perhaps?, as long as the wood is reasonably straight grained of course. So, I am £38.00 light + plus the cost of the return postage. The bottom line is that we are all at liberty to buy knives from KN but using them curtails any rights to recompense if they don’t cut! I’m still hoping to ‘arrive’ at the logic of that.
Placed an order, was told it would arrive within 3 days dispatched via DPD. I called DPD when it didn’t arrive on time, they told me they never received a parcel for me from kitchenknives.co.uk. I was then told it had been re sent. The next day I was told they didn’t even have my item in stock even though I’d already been charged and received 2 despatch emails! I waiting in for 3 days and was obviously lied to regarding my order. My advice would be to order from elsewhere!
AVOID! The worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. My delivery failed to arrive. On chasing was arrogantly informed by Alexander Shannon the company director, it had been signed for and after an email exchange, the matter was closed. CCTV footage proved that there was no delivery on the day and time. So having taken my money I have not received the knives and the company director himself refuses to replace. He has in effect accused me of lying that the knives were not received. He was invited to the premises to view the CCTV footage however demanded that it was sent to him otherwise there was nothing he would do. The delivery company DPD are looking into the matter so will wait for their response. They explained that all Kitchen Knives had to do was claim for the cost of the mis-delivered goods from them and send me what I have ordered. Clearly customer satisfaction and service is very very low on their list of priorities and feedback which for any business should be treated like gold dust to help improve, ill received. AVOID this website and company.
