We bought a Palma rattan garden suite with an infinitree top table. It arrived four days ago and we welcomed the Easter sun so we could christen it. Within half an hour of sitting on it on the first day of sunshine the table surface bubbled up in three separate places. Having read the handbook that accompanied the suite, we saw that it advises that you use coasters under wine glasses as sunlight can be magnified by the glass base and damage the surface. What is even more of a surprise was that the sun damage was nowhere near where the glasses were placed, and that the puckered plastic was very close to the table edge. We can only suspect that refracted sun rays were channeled by the wine glass rims, rather than bases. We have contacted the supplier and are awaiting a response. Quite simply, the table is not fit for purpose.

Our garden furniture, which had a 5 year warranty, rusted after only one year. We made contact with Kettler and they replaced it very quickly. They blamed a “bad batch” for the quality issue. One year after receiving our replacement furniture, we now have the same problem. Six chairs and a footstool have rusted. I have now made touch again with Kettler to get it replaced.

I purchased a Palma set of furniture from Leeks of Melksham, 2 months ago, I put something on the table and left a small scratch on the surface no amount of washing got rid of it, so I checked on the Kettler website and sure enough they sell small pots of paint for touching up, however I could not find my colour, so I contacted Kettler ref getting a small touch up pot of paint from them at a cost of £8, I was informed that they do not supply this colour in the touch up pots but could offer me a new metal strip to replace the scratched one at a cost of £18, not happy at being unable to rectify my problem easily or without additional cost of £18, very disappointed with Kettler, foot note be aware that the table top is easily marked

Rubbish company, my new £300.00 garden umbrella was accidentally the first time that it was used. Problem would have been easily fixed but Kettler would not supply the spares even after my retailer asked them. What is the point of buying from a rubbish company that won't provide any after sales service?

Fantasist service - sticks to word Bought my furniture 4 years ago, because of the 5-year rust warranty. I emailed them about rust on my chairs, and sent pictures in, easily replaced. Then the table was showing small signs of rust so I contacted them again sending in pictures. Again fantastic service of a quick replacement. So friendly and easy to deal with. It's so nice to find a company that sticks to its warranty claim. Well done

When you spend GBP2800 on "quality" garden furniture from Kettler you expect both quality service and quality product, right? - Poor service - Bent, unusable, over-sized parts - Terrible build quality - Clearly no quality control happening Well, 14 days after ordering (after profuse nagging - we were initially informed it may take 12-14 weeks to deliver when we first called; something we were not told when we purchased it, by which time summer would be long over), the furniture arrived. They dumped it all wrapped up and left (leaving us to deal with enough packaging to fill my car 4 times over), including a heavy duty box the same size as the car itself. POOR service for an expensive brand. After a hour of two of us working at it we finally undid all the packaging and I started putting the table together. Now this literally just required screwing on two table legs and a panel between them for strength. Immediately I see that 5mm thick cast iron flange to attach the one leg to the table top was obviously and horribly bent (completely unusable). Being 5mm cast iron and wrapped in a small warehouse worth of packaging, this could only have been during manufacture, or at least before packaging. It is plainly obvious, so there is clearly no quality control. Further, even if I could attach the leg to the table, the panel between the legs was too long to fit! This is wicker furniture done around solid cast iron frames. Meaning they literally got the frame measurements wrong. Again, why is the quality control? To top it off, the middle legs of the pre-assembled couch are too short. AGAIN, terrible quality and clearly no quality control. This is not a car. Making these frames is about as simple as engineering could possibly get. It truly amazes me how poor this quality was. As an engineer myself, I cannot understand how all of this happened and wasn't picked up. In summary, the wicker itself is great but the service is lousy, the terrible build of the frames it truly unbelievable and there is clearly no quality control going on. Whatever you do, DO NOT let the delivery guys leave until you have checked it all fits together.

First set of furniture (which had 10 year warranty) started rusting at 3 years and was replaced. Replacement set now rusting at ....3 years. We bought Kettler based on my parents set which is 20 years old with no rusting. It seems that the shift of manufacturing to China has reduced the quality, and Kettler now seem to have reduced the warranty accordingly. Not happy!

I bought a Kettler patio set just over 5 years ago. It showed signs of rust and they replaced it with no fuss. My view is that anyone can have a problem, it's how you deal with it that counts.

I purchased a set of garden furniture with 5 year anti-rust guarantee. One of the chairs went rusty after 18 months. Email contact with Kettler resulted in an automatic reply stating it would take 14 days to respond. When the response arrived 13 days later I was informed that upon proof of rusting a replacement would be sent. The faulty chair would need to be packed by me and would be collected at a later date. Simply not good enough in my opinion.
