FAQs
Marc was very informative, helpful & quick in his reply & understood my questions
I had an issue with regards to the payment of a bill. I contacted Greenbelt Customer Services to discuss the matter and it was sorted without any fuss. 10/10 for compassion and customer care.
Appaulled to receive a letter stating an additional late payment has been added. Times are hard for everyone at the moment so I was wanting to make payment in a couple of stages but greenbelt online payment system wasn't letting me add an amount so I hadn't made my first payment despite trying a few times. They only care about money, no care for customers or service they provide. I will be sending an email requesting removal of this unfair additional payment and hoping I don't have to wait months for a reply like my last correspondence! In response to Marc's reply I'd like to know why you go to debt recovery with an added charge to a customer who always pays on time, without a courtesy contact first?
If I could give 0 stars, then I would! Greenbelt are possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with. Customer service non-existent and completely unprofessional. We moved into a property on an estate "managed" by Greenbelt in June 2021. As part of the completion on the house we were required to pay a portion of the management fee that covered June 2021 to Feb 2022, which we did through the solicitors. This has since been confirmed by the conveyancing solicitor! Greenbelt have come after us for this money on several occasions and have now also threatened debt recovery services. Many emails sent have gone unanswered, even ones directed to specific members of staff. It is a shame I have had to resort to posting negative reviews on a public site, but I have no choice as it seems the only way anyone gets a response! If this issue is not rectified very soon then I will be taking it further via an Ombudsman or solicitor.
After contacting the Greenbelt group for over 4 years asking to for bushes to be trimmed back, I am still waiting. Emails get ignored! Thank you for the response, I have emailed gelenquiries greenbelt.co.uk with the information - although I have done that about 20 times in the past and the bushes have never been cut back in the 10 years I've lived here! I don't hold out much hope in getting a reply this time
Fabulous service from Customer Services. Resolved the issue overnight which involved other agencies as well as Greenbelt. Many thanks Marc Higgins.
Avoid like the plague if you can. Our latest experience: An automated email from Greenbelt in Feb 2022 stating “We will try and respond as soon as possible however; please allow up to 20 working days.” 56 (!) calendar days later and DESPITE the open/unresolved query, and numerous requests to place a hold on the account, we have received: 1) a letter adding a late payment charge and demanding payment for services yet to be carried out. 2) a letter from a debt collection department threatening further action unless payment is made. 3) a letter from a dept collection department threatening court action and contacting our mortgage provider (!!) Simply amazed a company can get away with such harassment and bully tactics. We’ve finally been provided with the data that was requested, and been given just 14 calendar days to review the correspondence - seems incredibly unfair considering the reverse is Greenbelt’s allowing themselves a 20 working day SLA.
Three letters sent to directors setting out concerns since June 2021 have gone unanswered. Customer Service is slow to respond and apparently provides misinformation. Expensive for the service delivered.
Absolutely shocking how they even call themselves greenbelt the scumbags. Not even seen them on my estate doing any work been in my property 3 years not seen the scumbags once. Rip off
Absolutely shocking! Pay my charge by standing order, and now received a threatening letter from their debt recovery unit threatening court, CCJ's, notice sent to my mortgage lender! This isn't the first time in last 3 months either, disgraceful, should be me threating them with action
Came home to find that Greenbelt had instructed a landscape company to cut down two plants from a border on our property to stumps. Said plants were approx 3.5ft and 6ft, with the latter providing privacy screening. They admitted fault (and told us they’d grow back!) but it’s been over 9 weeks since we originally complained and asked them to replant what they had destroyed and we’re still waiting… Have contacted the customer services team numerous times to no avail as to when they’re going to rectify their mistake. Appalling!
I would give them 0 stars if I could, this company is taking £70,000 from our new build estate (200£ per house). All they do is cut the grass, apparently any damage to the estate isnt covered by them it comes out of our back pocket further. Day light robbery.
Over the years that I have lived in my property I have found Greenbelt helpful in most situations. The up keep of the surrounding area of my property has been well maintained.
Horrendously overpriced for the small amount of green area in our park. Also the fact that I was fined a 30% penalty for missing the initial payment is robbery!
Greenbelt sent me a letter stating they were charging me £21 for overdue payment on top my yearly bill. I received my online bill in February and then this letter about my overdue amount in March. I think this is totally unfair! They could have sent an email reminder before taking action. Terrible company
Very helpful response from Julie Hughes when I complained about the lack of work carried out on a shrubbery at the entrance of Bellenden Grove, Dunblane. Julie arranged for the site map to be corrected to show this work as being part of Greenbelt’s maintenance responsibility and the work has since been completed. Thank you, Julie!
No where obvious to set up a "Hassle free" direct debit
Worse company on the planet!!! Not matter how nice the house is you're purchasing is, Greenbelt will ruin the entire experience! Out or no where they send you a letter saying they are responsible for the up keep of the area you live and you owe a charge! If you don't reply immediately they hassle you with threats of CCJ's Then every year the payments go up and they charge for work which hasn't been done. Once I purchased a new home I paid up and asked for a written/emailed conformation which I never received. Now 5 months on they say I owe money and the new buyers can't start an account before I close mine. So that the buys on both ends keep adding up!! Stay clear of this con artist company! It's mad how quickly they can respond to a bad review but not emails or calls. Just more proof how disgusting this company is. I hope they get investigated by Watchdog!!!
Extremely helpful and did not make me feel stupid.
If I could put 0 I would. They claim to maintain open public spaces yet when I requested hedges to be cut back, which are located in open public spaces, they refused. Fencing panels in this open space area are now damaged due to the recent strong winds and this has also been ignored. I advice not to buy new builds as you end up paying for services which are frankly now existant
