David welcomed me when I arrived. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me what was available. He then let me look at the sofas and went to get a price for me so I could decide. He was very helpful. I am happy with the service.

We love the variety and uniqueness of the furniture in FWStores, Newport. So much to choose from. Andrew always serves us, he is a very friendly and down to earth person who goes out of his way to be helpful. No staff member keeps bothering you; they ask you once then leave you to go to them. Lovely store in Newport gwent.

Very knowledgeable staff, both Tom who was new and training and his colleagues Andrew were great, chatty and efficient. Andrew even gave as a really handy tip when we have to attach the legs to our dining chairs. Good experience at the Newport store.

Having thought about getting some new sofas we went to the Barnstaple store where a nice gentleman named David asked if we wanted coffee, he didn’t push himself on us like many stores tend to do, just let us wander round. After looking at a few we decided on one that we liked the look of, David then went on to discuss the options, giving us all the dimensions etc. He was very patient while we kept changing our minds as to what we wanted. We eventually decided on what we did want and he gave us all the details, delivery times etc, all in all a really good experience.

We use FW homestores a fair bit, and today's visit reminded me why. We popped into the Barnstaple store to look at a new kitchen table and chairs. As before, we saw David Littlejohns (he even remembered our names!), and he helped us pick out a table which is suitable for what we need. The chairs then soon followed (we even ordered one more than we need as they were such a good price), and we have arranged delivered, to save my back. Excellent service from David and the team as always, and we will be going back in the near future to get a new settee.

Went in for a browse, approached by a polite young man (Tom) who asked if we needed any assistance. We asked a few questions regarding a dining set. He was very knowledgeable and did not pressure us at all. We asked for a deal on a dining set and he gave an additional discount to the one already advertised in store. Both Tom and Paul (his colleague) were very helpful in enablingbus to take same day. The amazing quality, vast choice and knowledgeable staff made our shopping experience one we would recommend to any one. Thanks both.

Went into FW Homes Barnstaple looking for new dining chairs and Martin couldn't have been more helpful, even bringing a chair down for us to look at from the upstairs showroom. Relaxed atmosphere, no pressure selling and we were even offered a coffee or hot chocolate. The quality and variety of furniture is great. Thinking about going back for some bedroom furniture.

The Good Stuff: 1. Sofa Quality: Gotta say, the sofa itself is solid. Looks well-made and feels high-quality. 2. Delivery Crew: Big shout-out to the delivery guys—they really went the extra mile. My stairs were too narrow, so they couldn’t get the sofa in at first. But they came back later after I got a hoist sorted and tried again. Super professional and hardworking. The Issues: 1. Messy Sales Process: Here’s where things went south. I pointed out the exact sofa I wanted in the showroom and said, “This one, exactly as it is.” But the salesperson, Tim Case, typed some abbreviations into the system that meant “left-hand facing arm” (which wasn’t explained to me at all) and asked me to sign off without breaking down the details. I trusted him to handle it, but the order came out wrong. So, what showed up was the opposite of what I wanted ( and the opposite of what’s in the showroom ) 2. Annoying Post-Sales Setup: Fixing the mistake was a nightmare. They only let you email post-sales, so I was stuck with back-and-forth emails with Mark, which dragged things out way longer than needed. No phone calls, no quick fixes—just slow replies that made the whole process a lot more painful than it needed to be. 3. Rigid Delivery Schedule: You get a text with the delivery date but no time slot. So, it could be any time that day, meaning you need to take the whole day off. And if you have to reschedule? Forget it—no calling the delivery guys directly; you’ve gotta email post-sales and hope they see it in time, which didn’t work out for me. They ended up trying to deliver when I wasn’t home. 4. No Accountability: When I tried to sort this with the Cardiff store, they just said it wasn’t their problem anymore—it was on post-sales to handle. They wouldn’t admit the salesperson made a mistake, and post-sales eventually offered to redo the order but with a 20% fee since “the sofa matched the invoice.” So, basically, they treated it like I’d changed my mind instead of owning up to the sales error.

Ian gave us plenty of relaxed time to make comfortable decisions and discussion to choose the furniture perfect for us. We are more than happy with the customer care and service. Purchase made 😊

Great prices and service Went around every furniture shop around and couldn't find what I was looking for. Popped into the Newport store and seen Eddie who helped us pick two 3 seaters. Really happy with the service and most importantly the price.

I first started looking at sofas back in May, though I wasn’t ready to buy then. Had a visit to FW in Barnstaple to see what they had. I did see something I liked & spoke to Paul J. Returned the end of October after checking the other local stores. The sofas I’d seen on my first visit were still there. Spoke to Paul J again. He was happy to measure the sofas for me & allowed me space to take my time deciding. There were a couple of other options I liked but I went with the first ones I saw back in May. There was no pressure to buy & the whole experience was very pleasant. This is my go to place when I’m looking for furniture.
