I paid with my USA credit card in US dollars. When my Chase statement arrived I was charged a foreign exchange service fee as the charge was made in Amsterdam, This should have been disclosed. I have other credit cards that do not charge for this but I had no idea that you took the funds in Euros.
Advised to cancel my booking due to my destination being on lock down (usa) and told I needed to do that so I could be refunded. After cancelling, I was emailed, stating I wouldn't get a refund as the hotel had kept the money. Spoken to the hotel, who have confirmed all money was refunded to Flix and clearly states on the hotels website that all bookings were being refunded due to the virus. Will not be booking with Flix again or any third party company. Far too costly and at such a difficult time.
Great price, good service, no problems whatsoever
I am in the same position as the previous reviewer. I booked a hotel online via Trivago. Free cancellation until August. Cancelled the booking immediately THE SAME DAY as I realised this was a mistake. This company took £1475 from my credit card immediately, and 3 weeks later I am still waiting for a refund. I eventually got an email asking for my bank details but since then I have heard nothing and no sign of a refund. I realise these are difficult times but they were very quick to charge my card !
Breakfast was good. It would be better if a kettle and coffee were present in the room. Location is good.
Gute ,zentrale Lage, schöner großer Pool,tolle Dachterasse,unterteilt in Textilbereich und FKK Bereich. Speisen zu moderaten Preisen im kleinen Restaurant möglich. WLAN leider nur im Rezeptionsbereich frei,ansonsten kostenpflichtig. Kein Toster,keine Kaffeemaschine,kein größeres Messer .Die Küche ist nur mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet. Modernisierte Zimmer,viele deutsche Fernsehprogramme.Kein getrennter Wohn/ Schlafbereich.
Booked hotel - refundable to 4th April. Cancelled online got an email saying cancellation had been accepted and 100% refund. They asked for some reason for my bank details for the refund - that’s the last I have heard from them. Three emails since and no reply and no refund. There appears to be something wrong with this company. I am disputing via credit card company. I am seeing many more reports of this company the same as mine. Still no progress in refunding the payment. This should not be taking so long. If they can respond to this review it should be easy to make the refund. Where is the money ????? I am strongly worried regarding this company and how they manage their reported free cancellation policy.

Ha sido una grata experiencia. El problema de no poner las cinco estrellas es porque solo se hablaba inglés por el personal en el hotel, las escaleras, sin posibilidad de ascensor, dificultaban la subida y bajada de maletas. Pero, en general, todo muy bien.
Stay away from Flixhotels!!!!! I made a booking at the Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana (934938) via trivago express and flixhotels and was promised a free refundable rate of 470 USD. Fast forward a couple of days later, where we all know the Covid virus took effect and i decided not to travel anymore. I try to cancel my booking, but now flixhotels tells me my booking is NON refundable. I have sent them several messages saying the rate was refundable and that i actually have proof, as i screenshot most of my more expensive trips and the confirmation of such. So i have a screenshot of my confirmation page on trivago express with a CLEAR free cancellation policy! But now they REFUSE to reply or refund my booking, as my invoice says the booking was NON refundable. (This invoice is obviously sent AFTER completing the booking and payment). Seems like a big scam to me, trying to get people's money out of their pockets. I would gladly hear from flixhotels and hear what they have to say about this situation, but it's verrrry quiet on their end.
I needed to cancel my accommodation, followed the guidelines and contacted Flixhotels to do this. They failed to contact the hotel and have yet to communicate with me why. The hotel confirmed my booking was a no show and no body from Flixhotels or their third party provider, which is a subsidiary of the company group contacted the hotel to cancel the booking. I have emailed them and am still awaiting a reply weeks later.

Absolutely disgusted. We cancelled one week before departure due to health issues (Could not travel) The hotel agreed to waver the cancellation fee but you kept the $566.00 anyway I would never ever use or recommend your company again

Breakfast was very diverse with great service on the floor, but it ends at 10. I think they could be a bit more generous by serving breakfast until 11am. Staff was super helpful, professional and kind. Music was perfect for my taste, not only the selection with some cool jazz and bossa nova but also the moderate volume allowed for a relaxing experience. Live music in the weekend was also a strong point. Congratulations to Carmel Cumbuco management and staff.
