I booked my hotel last year before the corona virus even came out. I was supposed to go on the 21st of July but the hotel got shut down due to the situation and would not be opening any soon. I wanted to cancel my booking so I sent them an email asking for a refund. No one has responded so far but I won’t give up and I will still carrying on sending them emails until I get my refund.
Cancelled my booking and kept the cash. Hotel have confirmed they have never been paid by Flixhotels and would have allowed us to reschedule our stay if it had not been cancelled by the booking agent. Rude immoral staff that are profiteering from a global pandemic.

Una vez que cancelamos, inmediatamente recibimos un correo electrónico con la confirmación de nuestro reembolso. Pero el reembolso no llega. Además nadie nos avisó que en el momento de hacer la reserva nos iban a cargar en la tarjeta de crédito todo el importe. Nos enteramos por un correo, que nos llegó inmediatamente después de hacer la reserva y otro con el cargo total en la tarjeta de crédito... SIN PREVIO AVISO! Les envié numerosos correos electrónicos reclamando nuestro reembolso y ellos ponen todo tipo de excusas. Lamentable!!! ÚNICA SOLUCIÓN PARA RECIBIR EL REEMBOLSO: Como no recibimos ninguna facilidad por parte de FlixHotels, decidimos poner una RECLAMACIÓN A VISA y por fin después de 16 semanas VISA nos ha hecho el reembolso!!! --- We found the FLIX HOTELS offer through TRIVAGO. We canceled our reservation (FREE CANCELLATION) a few days before the pandemic was declared because we decided not to go on vacation seeing the problem that was coming.. Once we cancel, we immediately receive an email confirming our refund. But the refund does not come. In addition, no one told us that at the time of making the reservation they would charge our credit card for the entire amount. We found out by email, which arrived immediately after booking and another with the full charge on the credit card ... WITHOUT NOTICE! I sent them numerous emails about why I had not received my refund and they make all kinds of excuses. Regrettable!!! ONLY SOLUTION TO RECEIVE THE REFUND: Since we did not receive any facilities from FlixHotels, we decided to put a CLAIM TO VISA and finally after 16 weeks VISA has made the refund !!!
Vill varna alla för att boka via Flixhotels. Min hotellbokning i Hamburg gjordes med full avbokningsmöjlighet (vilket då kostar extra). Pga Covid 19 blev det ingen resa och hotellet avbokades i mycket god tid. Inga pengar återbetalade (handlar om drygt 6000 kr). Man har erbjudit en voucher men jag har meddelat att jag önskar pengarna åter. Har nu fått besked att ”the refund can be settled after 31.12.2021” SKANDAL!!!! Har meddelat Trivago att samarbetet med Flixhotels sänker deras varumärke.
I had same issues, Cancelled 3 months before going. Email back in a couple of days, saying cancelled, and would take 4-6 weeks for refund, fair enough, Several emails to keep pestering them, that they didn’t reply to. 4 weeks pass, get a voucher, saying not going to refund, Claimed money back via MasterCard chargeback. They were quick to reply to say my voucher was cancelled in about 2 hours. Just get the banks to get your money back.
- 1/3/2020: Booked a fully refundable hotel with Flix Hotels for End of April stay - 3/22/2020: Canceled booking due to Covid situation. They owed full refund of $595 - 3/23/2020: Flix Hotels asked for bank details (iban, swift code, etc.) to process the refund - 3/24/2020: Bank details provided - 4/7/2020: Upon my followup on refund status, Flix Hotels asked me cooperate with them as their employees are impacted by Covid causing refund processing time to 4-6 weeks - 5/9/2020: Asked me to cooperate again for some more time - 5/15/2020: Sent me an email saying due to a decision of Federal Government of Germany on April 2, 2020 they won’t be refunding the money but will issue a voucher instead of $595 - 5/26/2020: Upon my request to refund the money instead of issuing the voucher, they canceled the voucher and sent an email saying my refund will be processed by 12/31/2021. They need 19 months to process my refund. What a fraud. I plan to talk to my credit card company and file a dispute because I have no hope of getting my money back from these thugs. And they have the audacity to mention at the end of their email “ Please note that we cannot provide any further information or details about the current status of the refund as this would extent the processing time unnecessarily. Thank you for your understanding“
We had a booking with them that said we would get a full refund upon cancellation with in a specific time period. Due to COVID 19 we had to cancel our booking within the time period that said we would get a full refund. . I will be taking this further and will be putting reviews out to warn everyone NOT to book with this company.
Booked a free cancellation hotel, and had to cancel due to COVID in the free cancellation period. Should be a straight forward refund. They confirmed cancellation and advised I will receive a refund within 4-6 weeks. After 7 weeks they send an email stating they will only give a voucher and cannot refund. What a bunch of scammers. I have not dealt with a worse company. Unfortunately I was unaware of their reputation as I havent read reviews. I hope I can protect someone from wasting their money and going through the hassel and the frustration of not being able to get their refund or get hold of this agency. Appalling.
Finger weg! Schreiben grossartig „Kostenlos stornierbar” und dann wird man mit einem Gutschein abgespiesen! Auch in dem AGB findet man nichts davon das sie einem einen Gutschein schicken! FINGER WEG! Zahlt lieber wo anders etwas mehr als da zu buchen!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY This company are a bunch of lying thieving crooks that will take your money and you will never ever see any of it again. They are based in Germany and are impossible to get hold of. You would be better of setting fire to your money than giving it to these scumbags. If you wonder why they are cheap it’s because you will never see the hotel or any of the hard earned money you have paid back.
Ende März habe ich gleich storniert Die 1 Antwort schicken sie die Daten wir überweisen zurück 5 Wochen gewartet nix dann es dauert noch und wieder wir schicken ihnen ein Gutschein und das ist jetzt fast 9 Wochen wenn die das Geld haben wollen nehmen die es sofort aber bei der Rückerstattung da lassen sie sich Zeit mein Hotel Aufenthalt wahre gewesen Anfang Mai aber da konnte Mann ja nirgends hin
2 months after cancellation confirm on a booking for Easter in La Linea (Cadiz, Spain) I didnt receive any repply, nor any refund. They use to work in Spain through Trivago. Of course, they never repply to emails or take the telephone as they are a criminal agency dedicated to smam people. Flixhotels are basically criminals focused in make money scamming people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is a Fraudulent Greedy Merchant who will take your money during a Pandemic not refund a penny even though you booking will say its is refundable , Even the Hotel company IHG hotel group is Dismayed by there dishonest business practices.NEVER BOOK WITH FLIX HOTELS.
I had to cancel booking because of Covid 19. My reservation had free cancellation option. I emailed them and they asked for my banking details to process refund. This is strange, I don’t understand. Other companies send money back to my credit cards. I am also suspicious and uncomfortable with anyone who asks for banking details via email, given that they already got them when I made the booking. It has been a week, so I have sent a second message asking why they haven’t refunded. There is no answer. They stopped communication. It has been a month now, and I am not hopeful about receiving a refund although my booking had free cancellation option:((((( Please, also visit flix-hotels.com title on this website to see other victims' comments about flix hotels to understand how cruel they are. I really don't understand how people can do such things to other people.
Flixhotels and All Concerned, I had to cancel my booking with Flixhotels because of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic. At first Flixhotels give some indications that I would receive a full refund with no penalties or fees. But weeks later I still hadn’t received a refund or any updates. I asked for an update and was told that the hotel I’d been booked at was demanding payment and because of that Flixhotels couldn’t give me a refund. I forwarded the email from Flixhotels to the hotel concerned. The hotel concerned categorically denied they were demanding payment! The hotel further stated that their local government had issued an order to all local hotels, travel agencies and airlines directing them to grant a full refund with no penalties or fees to all guests who were scheduled for that timeframe. I then forwarded the hotel’s email to Flixhotels who said they would review the entire booking cancelation process and get back to me as soon as possible. Again, weeks went by with no refund and no updates. Again a contacted Flixhotels asking for an update. Flixhotels responded now saying they couldn’t give me a refund not because the hotel was demanding payment, but that some of their “partners” were demanding payment and that because of this they couldn’t give me a refund. Flixhotels never identified who their “partners” were and typed the word “concluded” at the end of their last correspondence. What I’ve outlined above shows a stunning lack of integrity, professionalism, compassion and understanding on the part of Flixhotels and their partners. And all this during a Global Pandemic. Flixhotels and their partners decisions, actions and treatment concerning their customer(s) is down right shameful. This was the first and last time I’ll ever use Flixhotel’s service. I spend on average of about six months of each year working and vacationing outside my home country. I travel a lot and have done so for the last 14 years. I plan to share my story with many. This will include family, friends, major internet hotel & travel sites and least two embassies and my many many many fellow travelers who I spend hours talking & listening with on airplanes and at hotels! Lastly I recommend that anyone who has fallen victim to Flixhotels and their partners do the same. If enough people file complaints Flixhotels and their partners will find themselves excluded from major internet travel & hotels sites and possibly “flagged” for bad business practices at embassies! Embassies have a lot to say about who can do business with their citizens both internationally and domestically in their own country via Department Of Commerce. Also keep an eye out for any lawsuits that your home countries Attorney General might file against companies like Flixhotels and their partners! Have a great day! Kevin Estes
This is the worst company I have ever booked with. They have no sense of customer service or urgency. It has been months and I have not gotten a response back for a trip that was booked in January. Do not use Flix. There are many more credible booking sites with amazing customer service that will reply back and answer the phone. Do not waste your time booking with.
Nos han cancelado la reserva en el hotel de Granada (que está cerrado por el confinamiento) pero no nos quieren devolver ni un céntimo de los 470€ que abonamos. No responden al teléfono ni a los correos-e. El hotel nos ha informado de que ellos no han recibido el dinero de nuestra reserva.
Доброго дня. Мне понравился мой крайний визит на Кипр. Более того, понравился город пребывания Лимассол и отель в котором я жила Капетаниос Лимассол,единственное что немного не вязалось с моим графиком пребывания,это доступность крытого бассейна, который я имела время посетить в21-22 часа. Но в это время доступность к нему была ограничена. А в целом все отлично. И прием, и питание, и обслуживание были на хорошем уровне. Спасибо большое.
This is a terrible company. Do not use them! THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY! We booked a hotel using our CREDIT CARD to charge and ended up cancelling it. They immediately sent us the cancellation confirmation, then asked us for checking account information to return our money: SWIFT, IBAN, BIC, Account number, etc, etc.. Our Cancellation #: 210164. We contacted them twice and requested that they credit our credit card. They never responded and never refunded our money. We ended up contacting our credit card company disputing the charge. They use this delay tactic to keep the money and hoping the customers go away! Very dishonest practices! Do not fall for their cheap prices. Use other companies to book your trip.
