Every Mother makes it easy to work out. It has taught me how to move my body to protect my core and lower back. I have had a lot less back pain after starting this program. Thank you!
App is awesome. I love that it's just 10 mins a day. The regimen is accessible and perfectly challenging. I tried to do DR exercises before every mother but could never sustain it for a good length of time. This app and workout system is truly genius for moms who are busy and have broken abs!!
Some of the exercises when you’re in the middle of doing them, the explanation seems vague and it makes it hard to complete it properly, so I would like to see more detailed explanation during some of the exercises, abs having the camera zoomed out to shoot the instructors entire body would help as well.
This is just what you need after having trauma to your core from musicle separation like Diastasis Recti and core weakness, whether from having a baby or just from being overweight. It's just as informative as going to physical therapy for core weakness and pelvic floor weakness plus costs way less! I would highly recommend this program, it is worth taking the 5-10 minutes each day to focus positively on you and your body.
Gives me great strategies to target my core without adding any stress to my body. I like the idea of having choices and challenges in workouts. While pilates are a great alternative, I wish they offered alternatives to exercises that required additional exercise gear (bolster, yoga box). I would have liked a heads up that we needed to purchase or find prior to completing challenges. I had to watch and skip or modify exercises my own way.
I absolutely love this program! I would recommend it to any woman trying to heal from diastasis recti.
I love the length of the workouts, mostly 15-20 minutes plus an additional 10 minutes of core compressions. There’s a nice mix of challenging, moderately challenging, and lighter workouts. Most workouts incorporate full body strength training with slight emphasis on lower or upper body according to the type of workout (upper/lower/core). My stomach is flatter than when I started, and I’ve maintained nice muscle definition. But my diastasis recti never completely healed, even after two years of doing this program about 5 days/week most of the time. I completed the original reclaim program twice and reclaim 2 twice with a short foray into surpass last summer before Reclaim 2 came out when I thought my DR had closed enough, as well as a few of the 3-week challenges. I started this program when my youngest was about 21 months old.
Healed my DR halfway through the program (42 days)!
Really great layout of app, easy to use and motivates you to do it every day. Great workouts and teaches you as you go too. I noticed a difference in the first month.
I love the variety of workouts and the subscription helps keep me accountable. For the most part I have used the app everyday. I have not necessarily seen progress in the width of my ab separation yet, but I think I have seen progress in the depth.
Made a significant difference in my core strength after having 3 children, which greatly helped improve my overall health and mobility. My plan was easy to follow each day and kept me on track. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because off the issues I had with the Every Mother app on my phone.
Good program. Seems well-researched and comprehensive. Exercises are pretty light though, so I just did the core compressions and did my own exercise program until I was quite pregnant. Then, when you're awkward and big and your hips and abs are unstable, the Every Mother exercise program seems like a good fit and feels very safe.
Most of the doctors out there have no idea how to disclose or help when it comes to DR. As it turns out, I have a extremely sever DR, and am tired of hearing people say the only ways to resolve that is through surgery. It is a blessing to find a work out routine and community that not only understand it, teach it the right way, and rallying with you. I like the fact that it checks in on you, and make sure you are on the right level, even if it’s just a pop up text. I have a long, long ways to go, but I can see it is helping. I feel stronger. My posture actually improved through the DR exercises, and my mid-section muscles are bouncing back, slowly. I’m hopeful that this program will bring my mid-sections together. It has already shaved off a few inches on my waist line. I’ll keep trying. Thank you EM team.
I don’t like pop ups asking me for reviews. I know that’s a way to be direct but it’s annoying. I’d rather get an email. Otherwise, no issues with the app.
I am on day 70 of my guided path and thrilled with the results! I am eight years postpartum with severe pelvic floor issues which were exacerbated by my diastasis recti. I was seeing a urogynocologist for pelvic floor therapy with moderate success. But it did nothing to improve my DR. The combination of the Every Mother program with the core compression workouts, exercise routines, and advice has made a HUGE impact not only on getting rid of my "mommy pooch" but also improving my pelvic floor health. I have recommend Every Mother to all my mom friends. I just wish this program was around when I was pregnant!
I am really enjoying the Every Mother app. It helps to keep me on track and working towards my goal of healing my DR. I only gave 4 stars because I feel like there is info on diaphragmatic breathing (properly), how it affects the pelvic floor is lacking, and how the transverse abdominis works. I learned a lot about this before starting EM. So, I understood some things that I don't think many women will just coming into EM. Overall though, I think it is a great program that has really helped me.
The videos are mostly easy to understand and there is a variety of excercises although the main focus is obviously the core compressions. I wish there were a bit more about what positions to avoid because I found that I can't hold my core in in the tabletop position, and a lot of physiotherapists recommend avoiding that position until your core is stronger. I can tell my core is getting stronger after 2 months however I have not yet seen significant improvement in my diastasis or in my waist/tummy measurements. I wish there were more guidance on what to do if you are not progressing as quickly as hoped, and perhaps up front a more realistic statement about how long this will take to resolve. The advertising seems to make it like anyone can resolve a diastasis in 12 weeks, but in the forums even the staff will say that this program is a MINIMUM of 12 weeks.
I love the guided paths that Every Mother provides. It gives me a plan for each day, and I love checking off the boxes when I’m done. The instruction in all of the exercise videos has given me better understanding of how to care for my body and helps me be intentional with each move to maximize the effort I’m putting in with each workout. The teaching videos and workouts go hand in hand to help me get an effective and safe workout every time!
This app has been amazing! I’ve had three abdominal surgeries from overexertion, the last resulting in complete reconstruction, and this is the only app that seems to really understand the protection of the midline. All with complete re-strength training. I highly recommend this to any woman, as there is not a lot of knowledge out there about diastase recti and how to strengthen that area safely!
I'm enjoying the program and it does seem to be fairly effective. I'm thankful to have exercises particularly designed to address my condition. I've also learned how to get up and down safely from Every Mother. I feel it's a little overpriced; I would stay registered longer if it were a $10-$15 price point per month. One programming improvement that could be made in the app is if I've already completed my activities for the day and marked them as done in the app-the reminder notification should not still appear.
