Really enjoyed the Chicken Souvlaki. It was excellent getting everything you needed to cook the dish without having to find all the individual ingredients, everything was provided. The quantities were very generous, with plenty for two servings. The flavours were delightful, just like being away on a Greek island on in a Greek restaurant. The whole experience was great from being able to select from a wide range of World cuisines to an excellent delivery service via DPD. Highly recommend.

The whole deal was good from start to finish well done

We were treated to a variety of Cookaway dishes for dinner at a friend’s place last weekend. The flavours were amazing- my favs were definitely the Japanese Okonomiyaki and the prawn orzo. I was impressed by how the convenience made food preparation a part of the social event.

The Malayan market food took much longer to prepare than expected. Lots of bowls and pans. Although all the ingredients were excellent I found getting all cooked at the same time impossible. Will try something a little less complicated next time.

The recipe cards were generally clear and quite easy to follow. They did take quite a long time to execute however, but the results were appreciated. The ingredients supplied were mostly of good quality, though I felt one of the leeks was past its best. There was a lot of packaging but given the aim of providing as many as possible of the ingredients this would be hard to avoid. This has a detrimental effect on the environment and I guess also on the cost. However, one cannot help but appreciate the care taken to preserve the integrity of the ingredients.

Clear and concise website, kept me up to date with the delivery. Parcel was well packed to keep the items cold. Colourful and easy to read cooking instructions. Large portions and once complete tasted lovely. Never made anything like this before (we ordered the Laksa) so it was a real treat and would order again also consider it as a gift for foody friends.

It's not clear when buying the selected recipe just what's involved in making it. I am disabled so standing for long periods is difficult for me. It took me 2 and a half hours to make the meal. I was very worn out by the end and had very hungry family members. The end result was OK. Husband said it wasn't worth the time it took me to make it and not any better than the spice tailor kits I buy.

OMG - I had the Indian Street food box and it was one of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten. Beautifully fresh and so flavourful. Brilliant for a dinner party.

Fresh ingredients and they send you everything you need (this includes eggs, oil, seasoning etc) for the recipes. It’s a very fast and efficient way to get the ingredients and cook whatever you choose. However, I think you could get all of the ingredients for cheaper if you buy them yourself in the shop and also get more of them, not the exact quantity you need.

I was impressed by the speed of delivery, and the way the ingredients were chilled and packaged (and everything recyclable!). The food was all very fresh and of excellent quality. Recipes were easy to follow and the Spotify playlist was a nice touch (I played that through twice while cooking!). The meal turned out very well, thoroughly enjoyable and it was a fun experience to do this.

it was not good experience

I went for the Malaysian Street food package for 2 and whilst the food itself was great and recipes were relatively easy to follow, there were a lot more steps and processes than I was anticipating. I had bought it for an anniversary meal and had I appreciated just how much prep, timings and cooking was involved I would certainly have opted for something else. The portions were also very generous so had quite a lot of leftovers which isn't a bad thing!

Really tasty food and instructions clear. When we came to unpack, eggs were broken and potatoes were bruised and black, but luckily had replacements in.

Good food, super fresh ingredients and flavours. Recipe cards could be set out more clearly and accurately. Some of the dishes we had chosen were more technical than I expected! Also we don’t have a bamboo steamer so had to innovate. Enjoyed cooking and learning techniques and dishes. Everything was delicious.

Lovely food and clear instructions.

The delivery and presentation were perfect with excellent packaging. The instruction cards were useful but the preparation was a bit laborious and the sauces were a disappointment tasting bitter and not what I was used to when cooking this dish myself from scratch. I feel the sauces could be sweeter. The beef was tough and this may have been the cut of beef. The recipe for egg fried rice and the taste were perfect. would need to be persuaded to try another menu but if I was tempted it would be Indian or Malaysian. Thanks anyway Nick Heptonstall

i love it..we love it..its just small portion of meat considering the price..if there's more flexible options ..we just want the steak
