the reason for three stars Cera care Cumbria is carer are fantastic i wish i could say the same for office as they seem to find it impossible to keep continuity of times they are all over the place with as much as two hours difference which i find rather annoying

Time keeping is a big issue careers take it upon themselves to rearrange their designated call times. Most of the careers are helpful careing, the minority are ignorant ,uncaring ,and very rude with underhand comments about previous visits or upcoming visits.lost count of the calls made to the "OFFICE" about attendance times. Then it's a short lived arrival on time.Poor skills in management.

I'm just in the process of monitoring times visits are made and the time spent on the premises by some of the carers. Daytime visits are not too bad with some of the carers fulfilling the time allocated and carrying out duties according to the care plan agreed. The tea time calls are erratic depending on which carer attends. However some of the bedtime calls require urgent attention. Calling at 1800hrs for 4 minutes out of a 15minute allocated time slot is totally unacceptable. It's leaving my 91 yrs old mother without help with her bedtime hot drink, which at 6pm she declined. She then has to make her own, running the risk of scolding herself or spilling it. A pattern seems to be developing with one or two of the carers who seem to see this as a way of not fulfilling the contract. We pay towards 75 minutes a day and rarely get anywhere near this. Previous complaints have supposedly been addressed but this lasts a few days before they fall back into the same routine.

Extremely unhappy as care reduced from 16 hours a week to 7 hours a week. Mental Health Co-ordinator assessed myself as requiring 16 hours. This has severely impacted on my mental and physical health.

We have used the service for nearly a year since my husband became ill. The carers are all lovely and caring. Time keeping can be a problem as a lot seem to be on foot. It's depressing to read some of the reviews but maybe we are lucky to have a good team in Oldham!!

Apart from one carer who I cannot fault, this company is abysmal. I never know when Dad is getting his morning visit, the carer's are clearly not told what they need to do or just dont care? His visits can be 5 mins or 15 minutes instead of the paid for 45 minutes. This has gone on for months but the agency don't respond to calls and even returned a carer after I told them not to send him/her again. They are clearly not trained in Dementia and if Dad says he's eaten/ had a cup of tea/ popped to the shops etc , etc they believe him so sometimes they come and go without lifting a finger !! I will not respond to anyone asking for further information, because I am trying to source care from a company that actually give a damn!

Well my mom was left 6.5 hrs from lunch call till tea time call, carers noticed office that they were running well over time, you would think care coordinator would of given clients curiosity call.couple calls hr late, tick tasks wen not been done.were I thought my mom had had breakfast and drink and had nothing.why bother with the app wen its not correct.carer comes in with long nails to 87 year old stroke lady with paper thin skin.i rang manager to complain abt this and her answer was are they rounded off.shocking.mother and daughter allowed to work to gether and turn round and say they hadn't got time to do my moms breakfast they are not welcome to carer for my mom ever.its a shame as apart from 4 carers the rest are amazing at there job.i no many people have complained to manager and nothing changes.i could go on and on .all I want is to no my mom is well cared for in the day as I stay from tea time over night 7days aweek.,mom won't change carers I asked her.

Absolute abysmal company. I had to make complaint after complaint about the care for my relative. Only went I went to safeguarding and cqc was it taken seriously. My relative was often given sandwiches at every visit which lead to constipation, staff couldn't spot a uti ever! When he did have antibiotics the course was never finished. Alot of the people they employed they didn't have English even as there second language. So was always a barrier. Missed medication. Never got washed properly or when he was it was with a baby wipe! Continence care was another level. Honestly I could go on. Then through all the absolute s*** we had with this company they dropped the package and said they didn't have enough morning carers to do a 9am morning call 😂honestly you couldn't write it. Ill stop there as the whole company was the complete shambles and don't know how it still operates. I wouldn't let them look after my dog let alone a human being.

Absolutely terrible. Left mum with hot tea which she spilled. Didn't encourage her to eat or drink though we're asked to do so. Visit reports stated they had no concerns which would be reassuring for families who live away from their loved ones however our family live near and visited daily and moreso due to poor level of care. Only one carer was sent even though mum deteriorated and carers requested 2 carers for visits. Carer had to contact family to visit to assist with care. Can't believe this was arranged by hospital for discharge.

Message ignored multiple times, sent various messages via the app as the care company was sending lunch time call at 9.45 am!! , tryed to cancel or amend time a week before....no reply, ended up asking carer to ring the head office. Can't remember exactly what date it was surely you should have that information? Only handy thing about the application is knowing which career is arriving.

Cera use to be a great company when I started with them nearly 3 yrs ago, but since allied took over and different managers and carers absolutely shocking nobody knows what's happening from day to day carers and clients because there's no communication with the office, most of my carers are fantastic, one or two let the team down, mention it to office nothing gets done, I recently had a new carer who swore, talked about her sex life, threatened to feed me with a drip sat on my bed an put her feet up with shoes on she was maybe joking but it scared me, aswell as my illness I suffer from panic attacks an anxsitythis didn't help I've had my medication put up, I have a a regular carer on same days for nearly 3 years, but recently she has beeb taken off some shifts I ring an as, one reply was nothing I came do about it, take it she really DIDNOT Care, app is never right it changes contiuasly, timing are terrible, I like the last bedtime call as I am on my own an it makes my nights go quicker yet again I have asked for this but yet again ignored, it's a shambles, there are some carers the have more sick days than work an seem to get away with it, the ones that work hard get treated like sumthin they have trod in, some stay the time others don't which leads to clients visits getting cut, also it shocking carer are so tired it won't be long before they start collapsing it's OK offering double an triple time when desparate, WHY NOT BRING THERE PAY I LINE WITH OTHER COMPANIES TAKEN OVER AND DOUBLE TIME AT WEEKEND I SURE CARERS WOULD WORK WITH INSENTIVE, also I am sane what about clients who cana what are the doing to them, I made a complaint about carer as above I also she done sane to a couple of other people it would be nice to let us know what's happening, but for some reason she still WORKING SHOCKING A Disgrace, also I have carers who will come to me later even if they are not one my run, why ask times if they not guna give us it, all I am asking which office no about is I want my regular carer every Thurs an Fri 1 wk an ever other wkend she works and bedtime visits AFTER 8.45 PM that's all I want come on cera show us you do care for your carers an clients

Last pm the carer didn't know what he was meant to be doing. Sometimes the summary messages are inaccurate. Timekeeping can be ann issue. Some carers can be quite rude. On the upside Mostly they are respectful and try their best. Usually they do the minimum required but not any extras, like making a bed. I can't manage it properly.
