Don't use them - THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. This has been ongoing for MONTHS a. Paid $$$ up front - sent me lotsa things but aligners did not fit properly, cracked a crown - and when I contacted them about the problem they sent me another impression kit and never sent the new ones. Then I tried to contact them...they cancelled my account and sent the following: This is Tony with the Clinical Support Team. Thank you very much for your patience throughout this process. We are happy to support you in the next steps of your smile journey. We understand you’ve been waiting for your additional aligners, and to make sure we have the most accurate and up-to-date information, we’ve temporarily CANCELED your order. Don’t worry, we’re here to help you move forward as quickly as possible. To move forward, we just need a little more information. First, we’ll provide you with a $400 reimbursement to cover the costs of your dental visit and scan. This reimbursement will be credited to your account once you provide your credit or debit card information?HERE.?Please let me know when you've completed the form. Once you’ve received the reimbursement, please visit your local dentist and provide the following information: A digital scan to help us customize your treatment for the best results. A full mouth series of x-rays, or 4 bitewings and 2 periapical x-rays, taken within the last two years. A comprehensive periodontal charting from the last 12 months. Chart notes from your most recent exam (within the last 12 months).

Slow to respond months longer than promised

BEWARE. DO NOT USE. Will take your money and give you dozens of excuses as to why wont send you second set of aligners. You will have to jump through endless hoops and honestly feel as though they are just seeing how long it will take me to give up. Please DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY UPDATED AFTER BYTE RESPONE: AI responded to this negative review like AI responds to my concerns via emails through the Byte customer service system. I have tried customer service. It is the same evasive "I want to be helpful" rhetoric that makes you believe, at first, that a resolution is possible. HOWEVER, sadly this is not the case!!

I was at the end of my treatment in Oct 2024 when they stopped services and indicated I needed to go to my dentist to get a letter indicating I was not at risk for the various issues that were surfacing for some clients. I only needed my retainers and indicated as recently as June of 2024 my dentist had given full authorization for me to use/continue Byte. (I had to do this as I had two crowns done.) We went in circles via email communications as I could not get back in to see my dentist for over a month and that the letter on file already indicated that my dentist gave approval- but Byte still refused to send me my retainers. (I already had the top retainer- just needed the bottom.) I have since found another company that made my bottom retainer and now only order retainers with them. That was so frustrating and left me with a really bad view of Byte. I am lucky that I was at the end of my treatment and did not need any more alignments.

AWFUL, AWFUL,AWFUL!!!!! Don't waste your time or money. Awful customer service, awful care, no access to real people or the provider that is listed on our care plan. I find this particularly criminal after paying for the aligners, I paid for the warranty for lost aligners and have not been able to get them replaced.. After months of requesting them, and sending multiple pictures and answering repeated questions, they have only replied with a demand for me to sign a waiver of holding them responsible for the outcome of my teeth. On the letter it requires me to go to a local american dentist and get checked before they are able to communicate with me or issue any new aligners (ones I have already paid in full). Problem with that, I live in another country and have no access to an American dentist, so my entire care is now void after they took my money. I have called MULTIPLE TIMES AND no one picks up or calls back. By email, they send a demand for me to sign that they are NOT responsible for the outcome of my teeth. I am stuck with nothing, reoccurring bill over 2k and a lot of frustration. I need a refund, so that I can seek care in the country I am in and there is no customer service to review the gross incompatibility of their new demands and my geographic circumstance. BYTE: PLEASE DON'T REPLY WITH A FORM LETTER THAT YOU CAN'T RESOLVE THE ISSUE THROUGH TRUST PILOT. YOU DO NO NOT RESPOND TO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS VIA CUSTOMER SERVICE OR THE NUMBER OF YOUR HEAD OFFICE. I NEED MY MONEY BACK SO I CAN FIND A LOCAL ORTHODONTIST. IT HAS BEEN A YEAR OF NO RESULT.

Customer service did not respond to multiple phone calls and emails. Sent in updated photos with requests. The following message was received multiple times. "Hi Lauren, Thank you very much for reaching out! I would like to let you know your Clinical Support Team is not able to make calls at this time. We are happy to continue to help you through email at this time. We would like to ask you to provide a little information for us to assist you with your concerns. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon with the information that has been requested."

What went wrong was, they didn’t have the best pricing honestly. for something they may or may not work for me, i won’t pay a pretty penny for it. it also didn’t show me the best reviews, and that’s not their fault that’s just something i need to go to an actual professional for.

This company is a scam. The treatment didn’t work. My teeth are still not straight after completing the treatment. I have been reaching out for weeks, Sending pictures, looking for some kind of resolution. All I wanted was for a product to work, and it didn’t . Shame on me for not doing more research on this company before doing business with them. Lots of websites including the BBB and Reddit have horror stories. I’m sure this company will be out of business soon. The worse part is they will Probably rebrand and do it again under a different name. It’s a shame. If you’re looking for treatment DO NOT go with byte. You will be disappointed. You’re better off paying a little more and going through your dentist.

This company has the worst customer service ever. I’ve been trying to reach them for a month, and they take weeks to respond—only to offer no real solutions. My aligners don’t fit, my teeth are shifting, and they want $800 for a new pair after I already paid $2,000. You have to fight to communicate with them through endless emails, typing so much just for them to ignore you. They never answer calls, and their Trustpilot rating speaks for itself. Horrible experience.

Darlene A. 06 February 2025, 06:22

What was stated on here as well is they do not send you your entire plan of aligners at once and when you are ready for the next supply ,you basically have to fight for them. The only communication is via email and all repeat questions with more than one "case officer" asking the same questions. It's very inconvenient and repetitive and gets frustrating. They ask you to take picture after picture after picture and when you do so the next agent will request the exact same pictures all over again. I even had to go and find a new dentist that could take the x-rays that they required and still haven't received any new aligners from them. I have argued with them over and over about where my case is and at this point nobody is even responding to me. All I want is a refund and it looks like that's even impossible to get as well. Oh I forgot the part where my bite is completely off and from using the hyperbite my jaw has nerve damage.

Please listen to me when I say do not use this company. Save your sanity! I have every email with them and wish I could upload the entire folder. I contacted them before my treatment even started with what I thought would be an issue with the previous impression I did. I told the representative I didn’t think I had done the bottom one correctly. I was assured if there was a problem someone would contact me. No one did. Three months into using the aligners I was sent, I submitted a request to get my next set. Byte contacted me and stated that according to my photos, the bottom aligners didn’t fit properly and I needed to backtrack to a set that fit. Mind you, this is three months into treatment, with me sending in photos every single week for the check-in. Apparently no one actually looks at them. I informed the representative all of the bottom aligners fit that way, but they refused to do anything until I sent in photos with all of the previous aligners. (Again, photos I had already sent in.) After several emails back and forth, I took more photos, going back as far as I could before the aligners no longer fit on my shifted teeth. After receiving the new photos, they sent me a new impression kit. (What I had asked for prior to starting treatment but told there was no need.) Had they listened to me, my teeth would be perfectly straight, but as it is, their lack of quality control and NOT viewing photos despite requesting them, resulted in my front bottom teeth never fully straightening. This was just the beginning, folks. I have had nothing but issues with this company. Every request you make is required to be accompanied by a photo, only no one looks at the photos. You’re required to check-in weekly, but no one actually looks at your check-ins to catch any issues. At the end of my aligner treatment, I was offered to continue treatment to further straighten my teeth, but I refused after all of the hassle they have given me every time I contacted them. I simply asked for a new impression kit and to start my retainers. They refused. Again. They said an impression kit wasn’t needed and sent out my retainers. Guess what happened? They didn’t fit. So yet another email exchange with more photos, and they decided a new impression kit was needed. Go figure! I received the second set of retainers, and the quality control is laughable. I have a “j-shaped” upper retainer because no one bothered to check how it came out. I dealt with it because that’s easier than dealing with Byte. Only now, I’ve been trying to get them to send me the bottom retainer I previously was sent because my teeth straightened up more. (Thanks to my thinking and technique, not Byte’s.) However, they refuse to send me the retainer they previously sent. They want photos. Photos I already sent in because you are required to send them in with each request, but no one looks at them. Photos, so they can decide what you need, which does nothing but result in me having to contact them again to finally give me what I originally asked for. Only this time, nothing. After speaking to 6 different people in one email exchange and having to repeat myself each time to say that they already had what I needed and that I had already sent in photos, I asked to speak to a supervisor. Silence. It has now been almost a week and Byte refuses to answer any of my emails or continued requests for new retainers. I even did the live chat. The agent started to help, looked at my account, and then said a representative would be reaching out shortly. That was two days ago. If only I could give the entire email exchange. I’ll probably end up writing a book about their horrible customer service and poor quality control. They are the perfect example of a business that doesn’t care the slightest about their customers. I wish I had gone with someone else. $2,000 dollars later, and my teeth are not as corrected as they would be had Byte listened to me at the start, and the stress their customer service representatives cause is not worth it. Please use another company. Read all of their responses to the negative reviews here. They all state to reach out to them, but their customer service is the main reason for the negative reviews in the first place. In my case, I’ve reached out every day for the past three days after my last contact, and they don’t respond. But I’m sure I’ll get an automated response here telling me to reach out.

Scammers! Was supposed to be finished with treatment in November and I am still waiting for the remainder of my aligners since August! Paid almost $3200 for nothing! My teeth are still crooked and I am out $3200! They give you the run around and keep saying someone will get back to you and they are sending out the aligners! Liars!

I ordered aligners from Byte for $3,500, received them, but they did not fit. I contacted customer support, and they promised to send a replacement, but since then, they have completely disappeared – no response in the chat, by phone, or via email. I paid $3,500, but I got a product that I cannot use. This is a scam.

Aggressive sales tactics and seemed more concerned about their profit than my oral health.

If this company can’t help certain customers because they need actual braces just say so don’t make them believe that the alighners will help when they won’t. Waist of money.

Julie Cosentino 01 February 2025, 02:59

If I could I would give this company a negative five star. Absolute worst customer service. All numbers provided say it’s not in service. Pay the extra for Invisalign. This company is a joke and just takes your money with no results.

Horrible. Company sending me constant emails of requests for more photos just to receive a retainer replacement. Don’t hear back from them for days. App doesn’t work. In the process of a full refund, stay far away from this company, one of my worst experiences. In response to the reply: I reach out on a daily basis through email and the app and continuing to get the run around and still cannot receive any forward motion.

After treating for more than two years, I have been instructed to see my dentist to make sure my aligners are fitting properly before they’ll treat me further. I’ve done everything that they have asked, and have sent them many photos showing the proper fit of my aligners. Because of their pending lawsuits, one which recently was a breach in our data that we weren’t told about, I’ve instructed them that I would like my retainers and I want to close my handling with them. It’s been weeks and I still cannot get my retainers. I can’t get clear communication, and some online information indicates that all production has stopped. I would definitely use an orthodontist next time. Never again what I use an online company.

Can’t get my second set of aligners. I’ve had these same ones since October 6th. When I requested my second set, they asked some questions and for pictures. After I’d answer they’d say okay. The app said “ordered” so I’d wait 3-4 weeks and then send another email where they’d ask the same questions again but add 1-2 as if I had missed them in the past. I went through this process four times!! Finally, someone said “that’s all I need. I’ll order your lower retainer and second set of top aligners.” That was January 6th. It’s been 20 days. It has been a very frustrating experience so I am going to post this message everywhere I can! If I could, I’d definitely stop the process and ask for a refund to go with one of their competitors. I’m not sure what I can do legally. I feel like I’m never going to get my aligners and I paid over $3,000 for this “quick process”.
