we ordered a mattress here with an expected delivery date (in our confirmation email) of february 5th. i called the day after we ordered to see if we could push the delivery date back to be delivered on a day we were going out of town do the mattress would have adequate time to “off gas”. my mom rearranged her work schedule to accept delivery for us. she called to confirm the delivery window which had been given to me, and the salesperson there told her nowhere in the notes did it note that delivery had changed or that she would be the point of contact. so i called and spoke to that same person who said indeed none of that had been noted so the earliest our mattress could be delivered would be the day we returned.... which completely defeats the point of us having changed delivery in the first place. he (shannon) told me he would cancel the order with full refund and i would shortly receive an email confirming. i still have not received. amazing how they are all about service when you walk in the door and hound you with texts and emails and then that service disappears once the order is placed. will go directly through manufacturer moving forward. SUCH a disappointment. would not recommend this inconvenience to anyone.

I needed a bed but will only be in Austin for a year so didn’t want to spend too much. Shane (the owner) offered a huge discount on a mattress that’s seen some wear and tear in the showroom but should easily hold up for the year. He also offered a mattress protector but suggested I not buy it given my situation. All in all, I felt Shane tried to figure out what was best for me, not just his business. I really appreciated this so I fully recommend Urban Mattress.

Shane took the time to walk around the showroom with me with a (covered) pillow. He asked me what I was looking for and as I lay on each mattress he explained and showed the difference with examples of foam and coils. He was NOT pushy. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. He has a great since of humor and kind demeanor. I highly recommend Urban Mattress.

We purchased our Highland Plush mattress from Troy at Urban Mattresses in South Austin. We tried out A LOT of mattresses at a lot of the different mattress stores in the area. This mattress was our favorite out of all the ones we tested (We tried all of the big named stores in the area and even looked at a few of the bed in a box brand stores) as I am a side sleeper and my wife is a back sleeper, so we needed a mattress that would work with both. Troy was very patient and a lot more chill than most mattress salesmen we worked with over our mattress search. He knew a lot about the mattresses and after telling him what our needs were he narrowed it down to about 2 mattresses to pick from..and he nailed it. Would recommend supporting this business..there was no pressure at all throughout the entire process.

First I'd like to say that this was the best mattress buying experience we've ever had. It was quick and easy and Troy was fantastic. He knew how to match our needs with the perfect beds for us and our kids. I thought I wanted a soft mattress because that's what I've always slept on but Troy asked just the right questions to find our bed. I can say after sleeping on this bed for the past few months I am now a FIRM sleeper and I would have never known. Best sleep we've had in years. Even our kids appreciate the quality of sleep they get. The oldest fell asleep on his within 15 minutes of getting it delivered. ZZZZzzzzz

EXCELLENT experience with Urban Mattress! This was our 3 or 4th mattress from them. This time it was for our master bedroom. Shane (the owner) is so knowledgable (we asked lots of questions), patient (as we spent hours trying various mattresses), and attentive (even though others customers came in, he somehow made us all feel as though we were getting his full attention). We got 100 days to try it which is such a plus! Their mattresses may cost a bit more than online stores, but I believe we got an amazing mattress and shopping local from such a tremendous company, makes it even better!

Shannon and the Team at Urban Mattress in Central Austin made our experience incredible in every way possible. From product knowledge to the incredibly great rates they gave us and the amazing customer service, we have been perfectly happy in every way possible.

The service was outstanding. Shane was knowledgeable about mattresses which helped me make a decision. The mattress is quite comfortable and it is enabling my spinal stenosis to be less painful so that I get a good night's sleep. The sheets which were given as a bonus are very comfortable and so is the mattress cover, also a bonus. The pillow provided seemed fine in the store but when I got it home, it smelled like soap and was too firm. Overall, my experience was excellent. I would recommend Urban Mattress to others.

The service you will receive at this shop is amazing... It's expensive however. Couldn't buy a mattress from here but bought their crescent shaped pillow for my wife.

We visited the Urban Mattress up by the Austin Domain. The salesperson was very considerate, gracefully showed us around, listened to our concerns, and untimely suggested a mattress we would have never even thought to try out. We bought it right then and there.
