Shane and his staff are excellent and knowledgeable. Mattress shopping can be tough since you have to make a decision based on just a few mins of laying on a bed. Shane is super informed about not only what mattress you will like, but why it is a good fit. Love these guys and would not go anywhere else to get a mattress!
Shannon provided excellent service. He listened to us, explained the differences in various bed types, and allowed us to safely test beds that fit our wish list. We were able to find what we wanted at a price within our budget.
The mattress industry isn't the easiest to navigate as a buyer. To make matters worse, there are plenty of fast-talking sales people preying on the buyer's impulses and lack of information. Fortunately for us, Shane, Lindsay, and Troy, across 3 different Urban Mattress stores and 4 visits, never made us feel pressured. Other mattress stores we visited seemed reluctant to let you leave without the sale, often offering last-minute discounts, pillows, sheets, promises, etc. Shane, on the other hand, listed the nearby mattress stores we could visit while we continued to shop around. It seems like Urban Mattress' culture has adapted to the modern buyer and it makes for a much less intimidating (and annoying) in-person buying experience.

My girlfriend and I moved to Austin and were in dire needs of a mattress as soon as possible (we slept on the floor the first night). After calling Shane at Urban mattress he was able to squeeze us in for an appointment first thing in the morning. Once we got to the store we were helped by Jimmy who is a great consultant, was not pushy on anything and even worked with us on pricing. We ordered our brand new king mattress within 30 minutes of being there. They were even able to have a loaner mattress delivered within 2 hours of us leaving. I would highly recommend working with Urban mattress! Very Satisfied customers!
The mattress is great. The 2 star rating is earned because of the lack of transparency when buying the mattress over the phone. I needed a mattress for my daughter and told the salesman that i wanted to spend around $500. I called back when I got the charge for $650. I wasn't told the frame was extra!!

I’d give Urban Mattress more than 5 stars if I could. Shane was so nice and made the mattress buying experience so easy and stress-free! I cannot recommend it enough. I got a great mattress at a great price and actually enjoyed the process, unlike my experience at a larger chain store.

Stellar customer service and an excellent selection of many kinds of mattresses, from traditional innerspring to latex to memory foam. They want you to love your mattress and they will make sure that is exactly what happens. I am very finicky about mattresses and I couldn't be more pleased than I am right now with Urban Mattress.
Both the selection and delivery of the mattress was top notch. We worked with Troy and he set us up with the perfect mattress for our kid. He slept through the night last night, which is quite an achievement for a 2 year old.
I walked into Urban Mattress after having researched most of the beds around Austin and feeling positive about what they had to offer, but Shane being friendly and personable is what sealed the deal. My bed was delivered when promised in a polite and safe manner. I love my bed and have yet to walk into my room and NOT found one (or more) of my dogs enjoying it as well!
Urban Mattress is always a pleasure to work with. Lindsay is fantastic and Shane is the best! This is our 5th mattress from them and I can't recommend them enough. We have the Silver Lake and the kiddos have the Acadia Plush. They are all extremely comfy and hold up so good. We also get the mattress protector for each mattress because they are AWESOME!! Love their pillows too!
In-store experience was good. No pressure. Good advice from the owner who has been doing this forever. We had several communications with staff before and after delivery and they treated us like old friends. We aren’t moved all the way in our new house yet so can’t vouch for the mattresses yet but we did lay on one today and it was relaxing. Good people. Very efficient and friendly. They make it easy.
