Overall Acuity offers a great package for my auto and home insurance plans. However I do not like the ongoing rate hikes as is with most plans these days, especially when there are no changes to my policy or claims against it!

HORRIBLE. Had the adjuster from HELL. He/she is employed by the company. Their goal, is to pay you as little as possible. Do not, trust the adjuster. They are not your friend, no matter how "nice" they appear. Mine was an outright manipulator and liar. In addition, I had continual delays in responses and the receiving of payment reimbursement. More excuses and more lies. Anyone investigating this firm won't know how bad they are until a claim is filed. And if you have a claim, regardless if it is your fault or not, they will cancel you at renewal time! Please. Save yourself heartache and get your insurance through another company. Go ie: Travelers, State Farm, Chubb; anyone but this firm. Acuity is LOW BUDGET. RUN the other direction. If you have a claim, and you find yourself hassled by the adjuster and/or agent, save yourself aggravation and hire an INDEPENDENT ADJUSTER early on, or contact an attorney early on. It can be a life saver. ACUITY IS SMART. THEY EMPLOY ADJUSTERS FROM HELL. Do not think they are really helping you. This company/adjuster will screw you in the end. Check out all of their lawsuits! (or arbitrations). An inordinately high amount of dissatisfied customers. Please, RUN THE OTHER DIRECTION.........I wouldn't even give them a star. By the way, I went to the Acuity website, and wanted to write a review. They only allow 5 Star reviews. If I didn't choose 5 Stars, the website would not allow me to continue with the review. No wonder they have only 5 star reviews and a high rating! Learn from my bad choices in both the agent and choice of purchasing Acuity as my insurance company please. GO ELSEWHERE.

We've had Acuity for our Auto and some of our commercial insurance for several years now. While we've only had to file one auto claim so far, it was a very simple and easy process. Our claim was handled swiftly and we received the maximum benefit allowed by our coverage level. On-line access to our account also makes this a great insurance company with which to partner.

Excellent claims service when another driver blew through an intersection stop sign. The claims adjuster was very diligent in following up with the other insurance company, who was not very helpful in settlement of the claim. Fast, fair claim service was appreciated with the extra efforts given by your company's claims adjuster.

We obtained 2 inspections from local roofing companies after a hailstorm. Both companies agreed there was significant damage from the storm to warrant roof replacement. The Acuity "Inspector" arrived 1-2 wks. later to "inspect". We were told there was not enough damage to warrant roof replacement (when most homes on our street received replacement). We've never had a claim and have been with Acuity for many years. Acuity would not allow us a second opinion or reopen our claim. After all of this, we were charged with a claim on our policy record!! I chose Acuity in the first place after reading their reviews which were positive. As I write this review, the home next door is receiving a new roof. I guess Acuity thinks more of their profits rather than their policyholders.

Agent, Misty, was very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful. Treated me with great respect and was very helpful. I have confidence in her advice regarding all insurance issues. Acuity has been good but the agent makes it great.

I needed to update my certificates with the companies that I subcontract for. They had the new Certificate within 10 minutes of my phone call to my agent! The office manager told me sometimes it takes weeks to get them from some other insurance companies.

I filed a claim for roof damage. Acuity sent out an appraiser and immediately got the claim started. They paid for a new roof for the house and garage. They worked closely with my contractor. Everything went very smooth.

My car was hit by something, we were not in the car at the time. I called Acuity and they walked me through the process of getting estimates and how to handle the claim. Very professional and responsive. It was a true pleasure working with the Acuity team.
