The dress we received had a large hole in the sleeve, loose threads all over and poorly constructed. On the day of delivery I sent photos of the dress asking for the returns address and authorisation code, I was offered £8 compensation but no returns, when I didnt accept this they offered £10 compensation but no returns, numerous ignored emails have followed, I correctly followed their returns procedure, they have not followed theirs!! Still waiting for the returns address I wish I had read the reviews first, my daughters wedding is a week away now, still no dress as we dont have the money to purchase from elsewhere without the refund for this dress of shody workmanship as you can imagine, everyone is very upset!! AVOID!! Edit: chargeback successful through Halifax debit card so dress was binned!
Horrible customer service, once they have your money! Find a local shop and support your local businesses!
I found a prom dress on the designer's website and was looking for authorized retailers to order the dress from. I first found [link]. I placed the order and received an email saying they were out of stock until April 1st. I emailed back saying that would be too late since they would only be ordering from the company on april 1 and that I would like a refund and they essentially said "no problem, you're card isn't charged until we know how you want to proceed". keep in mind [link] has the same "exchange or store credit only" policy that misses dressy has. So I then ordered from misses dressy and received an email saying they were out of stock untiL april 1. I did the same thing and said id like to cancel the order and they said they'd bring my request to upper management and get back to me! They responded later with " we can offer you store credit with an additional $30 and free expedited shipping". They wouldn't give me a refund on a dress that they didn't have!! My card shouldn't have even been charged at that point, but even so that does not count as a return if they never even package the dress. So I had no choice but to continue with them . I did get fre expedited shipping and received the dress faster than expected...but I never did get the additional $30! When the dress came and was too big, they only gave me 3 days to return, but took more than a week getting back to me with my store credit. They cheat you with their policies..go to [link] or [link].
Company gave us 3 days to try dress on for fitting. We were gone day it arrived early (they said it would get to us 5-7 business days, it showed up two days later). When we called on third business day to exchange they said we were too late as they counted Saturday as a business day. When we asked for manager she said sorry and hung up on us. Never do business with this company!
I bought my daughters dress on the 4th December 2013 and sent it back from the uk about a week later for a refund because it was to big for my daughter to where on her sixteenth .They tried to keep persuading me to change sizes but I said it will be to late for her birthday party, and was told it could take up to a month for the balance to show up on my credit card because it is processed in cycles. I must of phoned about 30 times telling them I have not got the money but they kept assuring me the money was sent. In mid march ( yes over 3 months later ) I phoned and said I will contact the police because the bank has informed me they have received no money from your company. They then told me there has been a mistake and the money has now gone through. It is now april the 22 nd and I have still not got one penny back .They have stole my 260 pounds and I would love to go there and give them what for but being so far way its not pssible. I guess that is why they do it.
I ordered my prom dress and three days later recieved a phone call from a very rude associate informing that my dress was out of stock and discontinued, she then began to ramble that I could just get a different dress I said no I need a refund because that was the dress I was set on and I'll go else where she said she would handle it and we finished the call . I waited a day an no refund was made and no notification was recieved I called back and the next associate informed that they sent me an email offering me extra 30 dollars when I asked the other person for a refund come to turn out they had my email wrong and there was nothing stating that I asked for a refund this lady assured me the refund will be processed because my prom is May 3. She said she would do it and give me a call back no call returned. I already feel like I'm being played with and taken advantage of so I called back this morning and asked to speak to a manager the lady rambled on about how there's no manager till later and no number for me to contact him at. She also said my refund wasn't processed and she would do it in the next 2 hours and call back but this is the same crap the others have told me I'm extremely upset I need to buy my prom dress and I'm out of 230$ because of them. If you like games this is the company for you .
The company really needs to make it clear that when it says "Usually ships in 5-7 days" they mean it ships to their company and then they will ship it out to you! It gives you the wrong delivery time. Make sure to call them and check on your order.
I ordered 2 Terani dress from the website I was very excited about them.. And both were listed as "ships same business day" even though I knew I ordered them on a weekend (Saturday 5th of April ), but they were shipped on ( April 10th) which was kind of disappointing since I thought they would be shipped on the 7th right away so the dresses arrived late a bit for my occasion; nevertheless they were lovely .. But I think the shipping should be accurate because I would have been really sad if I actually didn't have anything else to wear for my occasion that fits and was ready !
My daughter fell in love with a dress and I purchased it for her Senior prom. When the dress arrived, it was missing a jewel on the front and had stains on the front! I called customer service and because it was out of the 3 day window from the date we received it, they said they could not do anything about the dress. I understand that there need to be policies as there are people who will use and return a dress, but it seems ok to be sold what looks like a USED dress.

i was very concerned about ordering of internet for prom dress after hearing lots of horror stories,however i done research and found this site,my daughter picked her prom dress,she fell in love with it the moment she saw it,there was a bit of delay as they were waiting for dress arriving from designer,i was kept informed at all times,the dress only took a day and a half to arrive from usa to the uk,the only downfall i would say,is that it would of been nice to be shipped in proper garment bag,but the packaging was fine and arrived in perfect condition,the dress was absolutely stunning and brought a tear to my eye,it was defernatly from the original designer and not a copy,i am so looking forward to seeing my daughter in this dress,i would defernatly recommend this site for all dresses,just make sure you order in plenty of time.
I wish I had read some reviews but this company was a nightmare. I poor daughter fell in love with a dress and per the website we would have it in 3-5 business days, what they didn't tell you was that it was 3-5 days from when they receive it from the designer, i kept calling and calling and then finally after 2 weeks they advised me that the dress came in damaged and that they were returning it and having another shipped out. We didn't have time to wait for another dress! I was so upset I cancelled the order and began the search for the dress somewhere else only to find out they lied about the replacement dress because it was out of stock, my daughter found another beautiful dress and [name] at [link], she was so helpful and even had the dress drop shipped directly to us to save time and at her own expense, I can't thank her enough!
I had ordered a dress n it didnt fit so i called right away to return it n they took out a percentage n then when i went to go use my credit for another dress it was EXPIRED!!!! They wouldnt connect me to a manager and they wouldnt reinstate my credit!! They didnt send a notification telling me that my credit is about to expire but they sure know how to SPAM MY email with all the dresses they want to sell!!!! Bad customer service on phone and bad customer satisfaction rating!!!
I ordered a gorgeous flower girl dress online, never done this before! The dress arrived on time well packaged and personally delivered to my door. I priced the same dress here in Australia at double the price, great value for the money. The size chart was very accurate. All communication from the company was very efficient and polite. The dress is beautiful, good quality, we are so thrilled with it. From my experience, I would highly recommend doing business with this company. Thank you.
I ordered a Sherri Hill prom dress for my Granddaughter. She tried on a size 4 at a local store and it fit. She loved the beautiful red beaded dress on MissesDressy. I ordered it and it was delivered today. IT DID NOT FIT !! I called right away to ask for a size 6 and was told" We have a no return policy because it was a special order". I asked to speak to a manager for help and was told the same thing .It seemed like they were saying TOO BAD, SO SAD you are out $700. Her prom is May 23 and she does not have a dress.She is so upset. I've never dealt with a company like this. There was no compassion
SCAM-shoppers BEWARE Have ordered a dress in January, supposed to be send in March. It has never arrived. They said, they wouldn't charge you until they ship the product, it's a lie. They charge you as soon as you place the order, and guess what? You wan't get your money back, nor your dress!
The customer service is very efficient to answer your questions 24/24, very pleasant to tchat at any time of the day. Very good surprise: shipping was earlier than expected, fast and serious with the tracking nr, you can trace your package everywhere! But: it would have been nice for such a high quality ( La femme USD 498!) to have been delivered in a slip cover rather than crammed into the cardboard box!! Misses dressy should deliver into a slip cover at his name as kind of marketing action. it does not cost a fortune...and would increase quality service. The dress: amazing, ligh, precious but a little good/bad surprise: the straps were seamed of stones, which were not detectable on the photos , I thought it was golden lace. Misses dressy should detail every feature of the chosen dress on his site, this dress was not and it 's not the same when you have to reduce the bust!! As conclusion: I'm happy with my dress and I will recommand the site to friends. Misses dressy could do better to become the first site for occasion wear online.
I paid cad $31 for shipping and when I got my item again they make me made cad$30. Before they never mention me that I need to pay extra. When I email to them about this they just ignore my email. Before when I had question about my dress they instantly reply. It was just horrible experience and never gonna get anything from there.
I am so happy with missesdressy! last year for prom i had bought a dress off a scam site(izidresses) over in china. i ordered it 2 months before my prom and tried contacting them it was terrible. it was an $180 dress (La Femme) thats orginally $500 and the dress came two days after my prom and was huge and ugly and looked nothing like the picture. So this year i was extremely skeptical ordering online and it was my last option. i tried finding dresses all over but couldnt find one i loved. i found this website did tons of research and ordered my dress saturday. (3/22) and i got a confirmation email monday saying its shipping and got it today! 2 days after!!! its the most beautiful dress ive ever seen and the sizing chart was right one except i should have listened to it more. sizing my chest i was a 4 but my waist was a 6 i got the 6 and it fits perfect except the straps are way too long. but its an easy adjustment! i will recommend this site to everyone! Thank You Misses Dressy for making my prom experience this year amazing!!!!!
