They might not call themselves a "scam" company, but they indeed are. The fact that they are not even going to give lifetime users partial refund is absolutely astonishing. Don't buy anything from them, ever!

They are a cheater. I brought lifetime subscription and now they are closing on the name of coronavirus. Zoolz, are you going to file bankcurrpt? If not then why you are doing this scam. I was not feel cheated if this company going to shutdown. Zoolz was selling lifetime plan since many years and when they felt that not getting more lifetime customer, they just stopped it. It's very old truck to loot public money. Lifetime Subscribers, we should file a case against this company.

They don't even deserve a star. I paid for lifetime subscription for 1TB and used 80GB only, and now they discontinue just after 3 years. They offer full/partial refund for recent customers only. No refund offer for earlier ones, only upgrade to business plan which I don't need to subscribe. How can I be sure that "Business Plan" will not discontinue within next few years. Unreliable service, I deeply regret. I wasted my time for uploading, now downloading, and recovering. They should have offered something favorable for customers.

They sold a lifetime plan and then decided a lifetime was less than <7 years and they can cancel the plan. And somehow they insist they aren’t scamming us. The excuse is that they aren’t continuing the consumer version, but of course you are welcome to pay for a “business” version that does the same thing. Zoolz, the only allowance for cancelling a lifetime account is if your life is over (aka if you go bankrupt). Otherwise you owe everyone who bought a lifetime plan a lifetime “business” version if you won’t continue the “home” edition. There is no alternative other than scamming us all. These reviews are adding a lot of people who will be happy to join a class action. Is this really worth it? Do the right thing please.

Stealing our money - used it to setup there business and now deleting our data. Have only had one email today telling me to download all my data or it will be deleted. They will not honor payments for lifetime storage. Trying to recover my data and it states have to will up to 12 hours for download to start. Keep computer on Disgusting company and customer support is zero Your reply below is even more disgusting - you have stolen our money to build your business and now under the disguise of COVID you have found an opportunity to stab everyone in the back.

purchased lifetime hosting, what they cancelled. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR DATA. GO ELSEWHERE. I PAID FOR LIFETIME ACCOUNT. GIVE MY MONEY BACK. YOU BROKE YOUR PROMISE OF LIFETIME ACCOUNT. ANYONE ELSE READING THIS: DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, GO WITH YOUR DATA ELSEWHERE. ALSO PLEASE NOTE THIS COMPANY IS MOST LIKELY OWNED BY CHINESE (GOVERNMENT SO ALL YOUR DATA IS SHARED WITH CHINESE GOVERNMENT). GIVE THE MONEY BACK NOW!

Business Model... 1) Offer a Lifetime plan for one upfront payment. 2) Kill off the Lifetime plan 3) Walk away with everyone's cash.

"Lifetime subscription expiring soon" sounds like a death threat to me. Anyway I'm kind of glad I won't be burning my CPU with a non-retina interface app running in the background. Once I tried to pul the data from the server when I did clean install but it turned out it was much easier to take it from the old drive.

This is an unbelievable scam. These people sold lifetime back up services and now all of a sudden they changed their minds. I paid for this with hard earned money and Inna few years the service is cancelled. To make the problem worse the reseller that sold the plan and zoolz have been giving run around via email for 20 days. Mow they want me to start paying for another service for a discount. They must be out of their minds. Very disappointed and it feels like a scam. I would never pay these scammers any more money.

Cant believe I fell for their offer of a LIFETIME plan for one single reasonable payment. Just a few years later it gets cancelled. What a surprise. Lesson learned - if a company offers a "lifetime" plan this company is most likely very dodgy.

Avoid like the plague. Like several other friends, I payed for a lifetime license a few years ago only to be told it will no longer be honoured with Zoolz using COVID as an excuse. Scam company without any integrity. At least I’m happy in the knowledge that friends are also ending their business plans with these sharks to go somewhere else. If home customers are treated like this then why would you trust them with your business? Hopefully they’ll disappear completely, and everyone can entrust their data to a less criminal company. Thanks for the bot reply. Just goes to show customer service isn’t in the minds of the fraudsters running Zoolz. Here’s hoping you end up bankrupt.

A couple of years ago I bought a 'lifetime' plan. It turns out this plan was unsustainable and is being closed down. No offer of a refund (unless you purchased it very recently). Guess what - to keep my service going, they now want me to purchase another plan at a 'discount'. No thanks.

Neil 20 October 2020, 15:28

They honoured the ‘lifetime’ plans for 7 years. Yippee. Don’t trust these cowboys.

I bought a Lifetime subscription to Zoolz just under 2 years ago and at the time I thought it was too good an offer to be true. Turned out it was and now Zoolz is forcing users to pay subscriptions to continue using their service. You should consider carefully whether this is a company you want to store your valuable data with.

Worst company ever.

Mr Cheese 20 October 2020, 15:13

Lifetime service that is cancelled within a short period of time is unacceptable. I would have a expected a partial refund if purchased within the last 2 years. Only option available; pay for their business tier.

I am user from outside of USA. But I have seen first time a scam company. Means you can find it also in USA. Never I had this experience. Giving a lifetime promise and after cancelling and sending a simple email and saying "sorry". Is it really so easy. I bought the service in December 2018. Now I lost my money. The "Lifetime" service is cancelled. This will be for me a bad experience for my future. Never trust companies who is giving lifetime guarantee also in USA.

Ott PSN 20 October 2020, 14:50

Well, actually it was unusably slow and crappy service before stopping "lifetime" subscriptions already, so I'm not very unhappy, it was wasted money anyway. Lesson learned (again!)- no lifetime subscriptions. We all knew actually, if smth sounds too good then pretty sure it is just a scam.

I, like many others received an email that my lifetime account would be canceled. However I just when on the Zoolz website, and my account and data is still there. As a backup, the Zoolz program was terrible. To backup less than 700 GB of data it takes seven days for continuous running.
