I purchased a ticket in March and the pandemic hit and everything changed. It is August, have not received a refund. I have emailed 10 times, called infinite amount of times. IT is all an automated system GARBAGE. They are only there to steal your money. DO NOT DO THIS. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.... I need my $700 BACK, I got trip insurance, I didn't mess up my flight, they canceled it on their end (from COVID-19 which is fine) and I am missing $700 from MY bank account. IT IS AUGUST-----6 MONTHS ARE YOU JOKING.
I bought 6 tickets on the Vayama website and it got canceled due to the pandemic and they only gave me only the 3 ticket refund I was emailing them every day (almost)and when I called them it said "due to the pandemic we cannot answer call" I was angry the I got an email from Vayama that you will get the refund but the said it might take weeks and months. THAT'S WHY NEVER BUY FROM VAYAMA
I would give 0 stars if this were possible. I am astounded by how horrible this company is. They are frauds. I’ve been calling/emailing them for a month now to get my refund for A RESERVATION THAT NEVER WENT THROUGH. They charged me anyways and then said I would be refunded all my money. Still no refund and still unable to talk to anyone. DO NOT LET THEM STEAL YOUR MONEY.
NOT satisfied at all,i cancelled ticket and i called more than 50 times and finally someone answered and said it takes 60 days to get refund,what sense it makes dont book from them at all
The only way this company still exists is because booking sites continue to use them in their search engine despite having incredibly shady business practices. I booked a flight with this company through Kayak with the understanding that if I needed to refund it would cost $100 per ticket. Well, circumstances arose and I was in that situation. It was still within 24 hours so I figured the process would be fairly easy. I called their customer service line, which promptly told me that they could not take my call due to volume of calls. Ok, not a problem, I will try emailing them about this problem. I receive an email back quickly telling me I can call a special number that is only available on weekdays. Guess what? It is a Saturday. Without seemingly any other option I wait until Monday to talk with a customer service representative who will surely understand the situation of me not being able to call them within 23 hours...right? Think again. I explained to them my situation, I wanted a refund and they quickly said "Ok, let me calculate how much that would cost" I wait for a minute just for them to tell me that they will only refund 20% of the ticket cost...so I would basically lose $600 for nothing. I explained to them that their own website says that a refund would only cost $100 dollars and they quickly explained that it is only for refunds within the first 24 hours. Well, remember when I said that it was literally impossible for me to get a refund because I could not possibly call them? They didn't care. They told me there is nothing they can do. The only thing they can do is change my flight for an additional $300. Sounds like a ripoff right? It is a complete rip off because soon after I called the airline directly and they issued me a change of my flight for free with no questions asked. This company is quite literally a scam...god forbid you buy a ticket on the weekend from them and want a refund because it is literally not possible and they don't even honor their own refund policy. Avoid Vayama at all costs. This company makes money from ripping off unsuspecting people and they should be ashamed of themselves.
It's been 6 months and no freaking refund. Looks like others have contacted the companies and apparently they gave them the money back. But looks like vayama isn't paying us back.... Definitely a bad sign. When i was stuck overseas I did not go with Vayama again but I went directly with the airline. They cancelled it after Vayama but yet paid me first. I'm still contacting Vayama every month but no payment.
VAYAMA selling invalid tickets and just wanted to get their cancellation fees for each person. I booked my flight Eva airline- LAX-TPI(layover 10hr) -ICN about 2 weeks ago and my flight is tomorrow. However, I got the call from Eva today my flight will be denied tomorrow because Taipei airport not allowed layover 8hours+ ... Please LOOK AT THE REVIEW ON 7/8/2020- Mr. Chen who got denied because of Taipei layover law, already notified to Vayama this issue! So the fact is, they are still selling the same conditions of tickets on their website, layover 8+ on Taipei, will not be check in at origin airport. They are Acknowledge the tickets are invalid due to Covid 19 policy changed Taipei airport regulation, but still selling it and they requesting cancellation fees to invalid tickets.
I am not surprised to see that many peoplw are running into the same issues as I have with this company. It is impossible to reach them. I am trying to call/email anything you can think of and they can never be reached. I wanted to change my flight schexule since ir kept postponing and nobody was there to help. I wouldn't be surprised if they are probably closing down anytime soon. They will be facing a lot of law suits due to their irresponsible behaviour and practically stealing client's money.
one of the worst travel agency. Without my consent they requested for a refund. I have mailed them twice not to initiate the refund process and yet they dont care. Worst customer service who dont respond to your emails neither you can connect them through phone. Very frustrated
I book the flight from vayama, they called me flight about COVID-19 I understand that, but Sense then I’ll trade to contact the customer service is no respond they not answered the phone, I send the couple emails after cancelling my flight but no respond 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
We need to take action to this company. They stole our money! Since February, my mom had a canceled flight by the airline, they emailed me that the refund will take atleast few months. But until now, they don't answer emails. I have another canceled flight for the whole family, still no refund. Another one for my mom (return flight back to US) still no refund! They don't email you back and couldn't reach through phone. They are hiding and playing games ! A lot of people are complaining about this company regarding flight refund and nobody even bother to email us about the status of our refund! This is a SCAM. This company shouldn't be allowed to operate! We cant' just complain here, we need to do something! I will ask a lawyer about this. I need my money back!!!!!
TL;DR - Complete crap company, do not ever use Everything was fine. I arrive at the airport 2 hours before my flight, only to find out my flight doesn't exist - it was cancelled by the airline over a month before and I was never notified. I'm stuck in a foreign country w/o a place to stay anymore, no car, on the opposite side of the country where other flights are, and Vayama isn't providing any help, accommodations, or anything. I'll be taking them to court as soon as I'm back in the US. Unpack bags, sleep, coffee, then calling a lawyer. P.S. this review doesn't allow "inappropriate language" or this review would be a little more colorful, particularly since I've had to make 7 international calls to them, costing me good $, and they've scheduled 3 callbacks and, well wouldn't you know it, I never got called back.
Spirit airlines is waving all cancellation charges and eventhough Vayama doesn't want to refund the charges of cancelled flight.
Will update if it warrants. Round trip ticket from NZ to Philipines cancelled in March due to COVID. Currently receiving automatic emails from Vayama saying they have to wait for the airline to release the money as THEY are the ones who charged my card. However, after contacting both Qantas and Cathay Pacific they say the direct opposite: Airline is just to approve the agent to cancel certain ticket for passenger but we do not have to refund any to agent as the payment is received by them. The request for cancelling ticket is usually automatically approved and passengers are not required to contact airline for that. If your agency is facing any difficulties, you may advise them to contact the internal sales team for assistance. We are unable to check for the refund process of any agency ticket. So it is very apparent someone is lying.
Worst service ever. You can't even call and follow up. No notification if your flight is connecting and one of the flight is cancelled. Very bad customer service.
We had to cancel our international flights due to Covid travel concerns. Wasted countless hours trying to get Vayama to process the refund. They agree that we are due a refund, but they keep giving me the run-around to different people.
I am a tourist here in the US and several attempts to fly back home got cancelled due to Covid. I'm on a budget now so i looked for cheap flights. I booked in Vayama but i wasn't allowed boarding at the airport cause the itinerary they sold me has impossible terminal transfer in Japan. They can't be reached by phone. I've emailed them about it for refund cause i went to the airport and the ANA agent removed me from the passengers list when i couldn't reach Vayama at those times to give me rebooking options. So after several days I've received a response to my emails and got a contact person from that email. I called the Vayama agent and told him what happened. And he answered there's no guarantee for a refund, but it's their itinerary error not my fault. I'm still waiting for the refund. It's almost a month. Any advice what i can do?
Cancelled flight back in December 2019. Still haven’t received my refund. Over $1300. I can’t believe they can get away with this. DO NOT USE VAYAMA.
I used Vayama to purchase my ticket to Europe. Due to all COVID-19 mess and travel issues my flight got cancelled. Long story short I asked for $ back because I purchased extra insurance too, Vayama rep via email answered politely and said will be soon. I got email on June stating $ full amount got deposited back on my CC. Still 45 days later it’s not there and after dozen emails someone from Vayama said I will get $ deposited soon and day later someone said $ it’s there. Anyway please be aware if you will save some $ with them expect same if something goes wrong. I reported them to BBB. Bottom line it’s DONT use them EVER .
