Firstly, do not pay attention to those positive reviews; they are fake. Companies like this should be hung out to dry. They avoid paying pension contributions, take unauthroised deductions from payslips and have poor inadequate internal controls identifying incorrectly setting up of employees ...... To anyone reading this this company is subject to a number of Pension Regulatory complaints for its shoddy operations as well having legal action taken against them for unauthorised deducations and causing a financial loss to an IR35 contractor. Stay well clear of them. RESPONSE TO BELOW: No, that’s incorrect. Please re-read the entire communication. Umbrella.co.uk has also ended my employment and created a new employment record to try and get round the issue. Unfortunately these are unauthorised deductions and I will be pursuing for the financial loss that the company has caused me. Umbrella has also created 2 pension accounts in a bid to circumvent their responsibility. The pension deductions have also not been passed to the Options pension account as I confirmed this with them earlier and have the call recorded which I now need to submit to the pension regulator for my complaint. This has been a complete farce start to finish and I will not conclude this until Umbrella is held to account. They have put me at great inconvenience, stress and financial loss and I will use the court case to reference in social media on every page I see them mentioned. Coupled with the legal case and regulatory complaint I will keep this going until I feel it satisfactory however at this point we are nowhere near that point. Make no mistake this will escalate unless it is addressed in an appropriate manner.

Setting up an account with Umbrella.co.uk was straight-forward and hassle-free. I have used the service for 13 months and only ever had one late payment due to an error by the consultant at the recruitment agency, but after one quick call Umbrella made sure the payment was made quickly. I am a Microsoft D365 consultant and used this company as I had a IR35 contract. I had numerous issues around their payroll. The issues were not trivial. In the end I had no faith in them so took my P45 and went elsewhere.
