I am new to this country and English is not my first language. To understand what's the different between paying systems and why certain charge happened can be confusing. But Lauren Leibrick was very patience and able to use simple English (not technical english) to explain. Leaving me not feeling stupid. She is alway friendly, professional and replied timely but not pushy. Just signed up with umbrella and am looking forward to work with Lauren in the years to come. Thanks Lauren.

First had contact with Richard Perch at my previous agency and have used him since joining Seven Resourcing. Dealing with Richard and his colleague Tom Bescoby is very easy as unlike most umbrella companies they actually give you their direct numbers rather than having to go through an admin email or wait on hold for 10 - 20 minutes! Very kind, funny and approachable, unless contractors refuse to work unless they use their own umbrella I will always refer to umbrella.co.uk. They work with us very well as an agency via fast payments even on a Friday and being flexible with their admin fees particularly with fussy contractors or those that earn less per hour. Robert Charlton and Rebecca McCarthy are very efficient when I send referrals over and unless my contractors are hard to reach they usually have them set up within a matter of hours! They also offer a holiday pot and pension scheme so we don't have to offer our PAYE services as much. I look forward to catching up with Richard soon as it's been too long!

I have recently signed up with this umbrella company and the process was so efficient literally taking a matter of minutes to get up and running. there has been a few teething issues mainly from my side of things but the support from the team has been absolutely tremendous. I am a very impatient person, particularly when it comes to trying to contact companies to find out any information, however, I have not had an issue.....at worst they are busy and unable to answer my calls/emails there and then but within minutes I get a response, whether it be via email or telephone. Would seriously recommend.

Having previously operated a limited company and all the "joys" that go with it, along with the increasing red tape our beloved government keep introducing I opted this time to have all of that stuff managed for me. Umbrella.co.uk were recommended to me and right from start to finish they couldn't have helped me more with all my constant questions (sorry!!), but throughout my near 2 year contract stint they have always helped me pretty much instantly with any request I have had. It really did feel like they were my employer and had everything managed on my behalf, never having to worry about late payments, access to payslips etc.. and not only that you get all the benefits of a PAYE role, i.e. benefits portal, holiday/sick pay (I never did understand how this works, just know that it does!). The margin of some of the other umbrella companies is also incredibly low and when offset against doing all the paperwork yourself, just COMPLETELY worthwhile. Thanks guys, no hestitation in recommending you to anyone reading this and if I dip my toe into the contract waters again, you will be my first port of call.

I eventually settled on umbrella.co.uk, Nicodemus was the point of contact and was the first company to call me back, he was really informative, wasn't pushy and didn't hassle me for a decision, just left me with the information to enable me to make an informed decision. Very straight forward onboarding process.

This is my second time around of using Umbrella.co.uk. From this experience, please don’t use them. After signing me up, My account manager kept being evasive and could not process my expense claim for over a month.
