I received all the information I needed by email the same day I registered online. As they had finished for the day, I left a voicemail asking someone to return my call and they did so early the next morning. I've just signed up with Umbrella and I have to say my first impression of them is excellent! Phone was answered straight away and the assistant, Josh, was so helpful. He was very happy to explain lots of things before asking for any of my personal data - really great initial service. After the call I had a couple of additional things I needed help with. I emailed Josh and got responses back so quickly. So far I am a very happy client indeed!
Been with umbrella since October. Difficult to get responses from, definitely don’t try last few hours on a Friday, Youl be put on hold then disconnected while their chatting and clock watching. You have to wait for payslips for days after delaying the time for you to query why your pay is different yet again. My pay has been inconsistent almost weekly as-long as I’ve been there. You won’t get notified when they auto enrol you in the pension Youl just notice the money go then have to chase them for the relevant info as the pension company won’t contact you just take your funds.
After this company was reccomended to me I was contacted by Robert Charlton. Robert emailed me all the necessary documents to setup a limited company and gave good advice over the phone. Excellent first impression which led me to sign up.
Emily is a legend, very bright, helpful and full of enthusiasm I hope other staff are similar!
BBC reported today that "More than three million people have yet to file their self-assessment tax return just days before [the] deadline of 31 January". Despite the pressure, Nicola Worthington completed my self-assessment tax return quickly and professionally. She was very responsive and promptly answered all of my questions. Fantastic work.

By far the worst umbrella company i have ever used. I have been with this umbrella company for 6 months and they do not pay on time - always waiting till the very end of the day (after 6pm) to pay. I was due to be paid today and t the time of writing (6:34pm) I am still waiting to be paid. I will surely be leaving this company. Customer support are not very helpful when it comes to getting payment updates. Long wait times, inadequate customer service - just farcical. Please research other umbrella firms and make sure you ask about their payment times.
I joined Umbrella as an interim from another company. They have been fab - things happen but they always are prompt, sort it out, v informative. I am v impressed by them. I als feel that I work with a company that cares about its staff.
This is a terrible company. It happened more than once I had to wait extra days to be paid. The last time I submitted my timesheets and they did not create an invoice for more than a week. And making me wait for my payment for more than two weeks. And the cherry on top of the poor service cake is they messed up with my TAX code ending up overpaying income tax for more than £3000.
