Do not sign up to be their client. They are only interested in onboarding you. Once you are already with them and need their assistance such as plan change you will be ignored. We have been trying to change a plan for The Lovey Hair Pty Ltd but nobody from Client Services team and, more recently, Complaints team has responded for more than 2 weeks. We are considering to change to provider and notify Ombudsman as Tyro is a joke.
Terrible customer service. I have been fighting with Tyro for the last two weeks to get my application finalised; they always ask for additional documents. They do not follow up on emails and do not return calls. It is obvious they do not care about small businesses. I have lost a week of business thanks to them; INCOMPETENT!
Tyro has been an excellent choice for us. The system works well, the online access is great and they have been wonderful partners during Covid. We plan on a long term relationship with Tyro.
I have shops in which I use Tyro terminals. Each shop has a corresponding online store and I have been trying for many weeks to set up Tyro e-commerce on the online stores. To date I have it set up on only 2 stores and this took me many phone calls and emails. I am using PayPal on my other 2 stores. I have lodged a complaint The reference number is CF-3495. I am very happy with my physical Tyro terminals and the general service i get from you, it is just the e-commerce that I am extremely disappointed with. Sean
I have been very happy with the service I have received from Tyro. There was a problem from the get go with delivery (the couriers, not Tyro themselves) and Tyro sorted the problem out very efficiently). The machine works well so far and the back end system is easy to use and well worked out. The fees are reasonable in comparison with other companies (although, still an added cost to small business).

We received a heart warming email from the CEO showing support for small businesses and asked us to reach out for help if we needed. When we emailed tyro, not only not get a response until we tried chasing it up, we only received one month free rental for the device only. Having a 40% reduction in sale, and most customers opting for card transactions, this was not very generous help. The account manager also suggested we can return the machines if we don’t need them anymore.
Terrible costumer services
The worst customer service I have ever received from any organisation. Abhorrent!
Tyro is a great tool. The borrow and pay back from eftpos takings is a very good idea and has helped us cover cash flow issues several times. And it is an easy thing to access. The fee is reasonable compared to bank interest also.
We have found our experience with Tyro highly satisfactory. The team are prompt to respond to any enquiries we have had; actually returning calls when they said they would (a rare occurrence these days!) and their support team are very approachable and relaxed. Would highly recommend. We have also accessed the business loan option and have found this to be a very manageable pay back system.
Up until last week I would have rated you 5 star, but with the developments associated with the new arrangements where settlement goes directly to the Tyro account not our active business bank account, I have been very disappointed. I was shuffled around and on hold for far too long this morning trying to get to someone that could fix the problem, and had to verify my ID three times. This is very poor. To top it off, I was told that essentially I was stuck with the new arrangement whereby I have to log in and transfer the balance of takings each day from the Tyro account into the business account. That is a very poor arrangement that adds to my administrative burden, and adds delay to the timely availability of takings for the business.
Bad terminals always gives problems, customers have to tap three times each time. Also rates are too expensive. I am in process of changing to a better bank.
I love Tyro! Have been using it for almost 3 years. We receive each day's takings the next morning without fail. The apps are user friendly and practical. Also love the fact that I can instantly get a loan and customise the repayments based on our daily takings. A couple of constructive suggestions: - The terminals aren't always sensitive to certain customer cards when using tap-and-pay - would love to have the features of OSKO payments and PayID

I have have been with TYRO for 12 months very happy with this company.
When we first joined our rates were loaded at a higher charge than our signed contract. After some effort this was corrected. Why was it loaded incorrectly in the first place>?! .59 Cents per eftpos transaction opposed to the .25 cents as per the signed contract. This took nearly 6 weeks to resolve. Lots of me chasing them up before loading the correct rate & we were refunded the extra charges. 12 months later, Tyro have changed the rates on us without advising. Dealing with customer service is generally not easy, mixed results at best. Back of house staff mostly appear very incompetent. We finally got everything going smoothly.. although still waiting to see if/when they will change the charges back to the amount on the signed contract. Recently I sent in a form requesting we add a signutary to our account (so we can have an additional person manage the accounts & make changes to our system etc) Tyro's now want us to Activate A Tyro SMart Account in order to do this?! We do not want to open a new account.. just add a new sign off! ...How hard can this be?! Most recently we wanted to introduce "surcharging"... simply charging customers that wish to pay with credit the same % fee that Tyro charge us (.099%) for for Visa & Mastercard,.. ( we are not interested in charging extra to make additional profit, nor trying to recoup monthly rental fee etc... yet tyro only give me the option to round up or down, so I either charge the customer up 1% or down to .09% Obviously a small difference, but still how hard is it to add an extra decimal into their system so we can charge accordingly? I have given 2 stars based on the fact that their rates are competitive ... when they are actually loaded correctly as per the signed contract.
