Looks they have time answer here but never answer email customer,they only care their business but really don't care their customers business,I sent email asking delivery trucking before 2 days, still no answer,okay,could I ask here?
Don't waste your time with them. Delay after delay with our application, constant requests for further information and still no terminal after FOUR months of waiting. Apparently our application has been referred to the slowest moving 'compliance team' in history. No contact since 27/11/20. Would not recommend sorry.
My local cafe using Tyro has had to resort to the staff using their personal mobiles to do eftpos as their tyro machine has been broken for ages. I do have personal experience with their current CEO, Robbie Cooke. Talk about a walking train wreck. He stripped, gutted and sold the soul of Tatts Group Ltd to get a nice 10m fee. Ruined the careers of hundreds of staff, and probably the same now with Tyro. These problems are probably from cost cutting, moving the cronies in to replace existing management, or plans of a merger/takeover putting all the staff into "I don't care" mode as their job security is now on the line.
System down for weeks. Generic opaque support messages with no resolution timeframes. Empty platitudes when calling customer service. Wasn’t great even when it was working- regularly had to restart terminals due to connectivity issues. Switched providers, won’t look back. Stay away.
It is week 3 now with no terminal and i tried to cancel my account. I TRIED!!!!!!! obviously they can't identify me! They always have with my username and not my official name so security check in place. But alas that is not enough as now i need to come up with a passport number of an old expired passport. Leonard the EMPOWERED FOOL on the other side of the phone keeps all his passports and he carries his current one around....Obviously there is something wrong with me. AND BY THE WAY CHECK THE RATES THEY CHARGE. THEY ARE BROKEN DOWN TO SO MANY SUB CATEGORIES YOU DONT REALISE HOW. MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THEY ARE COMPARED TO THE BIG BANKS. RENTAL OF TERMINAL MORE EXPENSIVE TOO!
The guys have been awesome, for something so sudden like the terminals freaking out, they have done a good job in replacing and getting businesses back up and running, if other banks had this issue, it'd definitely be a complete meltdown. Agile in getting things going and the team are very personable, we all go through issues and the staff have taken it like their own, they actually care. Thanks Tyro
We used 2 different merchants until we realised Tyro. Really good service and payment portal. Also the app is great for easy access to account.
Only 1* because the system would not allow me to go into negatives. Our local store has been struggling for 5 days now with no EFTPOS & no resolution & only receiving useless inaccurate information. 25km from Melbourne CBD other banks would have had new equipment delivered within hours. With Covid moving our economy away from cash they have lost 1000's of dollars.
I have used Tyro for a number of years with my business - no problem. However I set up Tyro to use at my large community sporting club last year and unfortunately the club uses one of the EFTPOS terminals with connectivity issues (impacting thousands around Australia). Finally after almost a week we receive information on plans to collect, fix and then return terminals - which may take another week. That’s right - two weeks without a payment platform. But still not so easy - a third party courier is to be organised to collect the terminal from our venue - but as the venue is not open/accessible normal business hours (or every day) - the unit can not be collected. Attempts to arrange collection from an alternative nearby address have been unsuccessful via Tyro Support. An embarrassing state of affairs. Tyro please take responsibility and do whatever is needed to fix this problem which has caused immense pain for numerous businesses and organisations.
An absolute DISGRACE. Tyro eftpos has been down for 4 days and counting with no solution in site. This has cost me in well in excess of $50,000 so far. No support. No solutions in site. Will possibly need to be issued with new terminals ????. No timeframe for that either. No word on compensation. NEVER USE TYRO AGAIN.
Absolute rubbish I have been in business for 20 years and have never encountered a problem like that one with tyro to not be able to fix their connection issue is a disgrace to the company. We lost big time with Tyro My advice is move away from tyro and warn anyone in business not to go near them.
If I could give them a lower score I would. Disgraceful company, we have been down for 2 days. We make 70% of our annual sales in January nad 80% of our sales are by credit card. I have been talking to their support desk and no solutions are offered just excuses. I have been promised that a manager would call me which was an outright lie, I never received a call back. Their managers need to grow some balls and talk to customers not leave it to their support desk. We have already made arrangements to move away from them but unfortunately that takes time meaning more losses. They know that most of their customers are small business who don’t have the financial capacity to take legal action so they treat them with contempt. I would recommend staying away from Tyro if looking for a good eftpos solution. Disgraceful company from the CEO down.
The fact that they cannot find a resolution to this technical issue shows that their internal processes are broken. This issue most probably was caused by a software update on their end, so they could either roll-back OR find what was changed and fix it. Hoping it is not as simple as a certification issue that is blocking the logons. Their updates on the issue is so pathetic, just shows that they think we are ignorant. Time to move away from Tyro to a larger bank provider, at least paying a couple of percentage points more will ensure quality of service and regular updates
New Tyro eftpos machine has been down for 2 days! Cannot connect or make transactions. No customer support, they don't know what the problem is. Their answer is tuff luck. Can't tell me when it will be back up again!
If I could give Tyro 0 stars, I would. Our Eftpos has been out for two days in our busiest period of trading. Unable to take card payments with two terminals with them. I've called and emailed and dealt with rude staff and a generic answer as to they are "working around the clock" to fix it. I'm entering my busiest weekend of trading after COVID and can't take card payments? No one is carrying cash. Not sure how they are going to compensate people for the thousands lost. I'm guessing there will be nothing.
Had eftpos down all day lost money been in business 20 years never had a eftpos down for so long hopeless service stay away from this company joining new eftpos provider tomorrow
We lost thousands of dollars in sales today because their system went down for an entire day. They seemingly couldn’t care less. After waiting 1.5hrs on the phone all I got was a simple I’m sorry but we are working to get your terminals up and running again as soon as possible. To lose so much money in takings during a pandemic and getting no sympathy or care from them. We are just expected to bend over and take it. We will be changing eftpos company’s ASAP! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!
NEVER again will we deal with TYRO. Recently applied for the 2nd time as it is the only system to integrate with our POS and to be honest, will never deal with them again. The customer service is nonexistent, constantly have to chase and get little or no reply, the whole process takes so long and they kept coming back for more details, only to be told after around 4mths that we do not meet their credit criteria. Which they will not disclose what that is. We have now been operating successfully and growing for the past 12 mths, have a mthly turn over between $200k to $250k, very little debt and we do not meet their credit criteria ..............just ridiculous
UPDATE 3/12/20 - PROBLEM STILL UNRESOLVED No surprises here - problem has still not been resolved, tyro have been incredibly unhelpful and have cause so much reputational damage to our business. Honestly avoid at all costs, stick to major banks or elsewhere. Signed up to Tyro for our business The sign up process took 2 weeks + The delivery was slow They sent the wrong unit When they sent the right unit they had not bothered to advise us that we needed to setup the different medical providers that will be using the facility so they are not setup to use it and it will 1 week+ to have them on Overall an extremely poor experience and really disappointing from a "new tech company" Update 25/11/20 - PROBLEM UNRESOLVED AND NO PROGRESS MADE. Tyro responded below but have not received any contact on the matter from them and even worse the issue of loading the correct providers onto the terminal has not progressed even 1%. We moved heaven and earth to do all our requirements that were given to us after the fact, but Tyro have not moved one single bit and are non-contactable. Unfortunately this is even more disappointing and I urge small businesses to avoid these issues, stick with the big banks who have been incredibly helpful.
Tyro charged me $10.00 by paying with my own debit card. I cannot believe this! It is a rip-of. I'm not going to deal with companies using tyro eftpos machine. Who gets this cherges? They should have told me before I paid! I could gave just used cash. Who ise cash these days anyway?
