I ordered bedroom furniture for my daughter in October, it was supposed to be delivered towards the end of December. I followed up on early December on the status of my order only to be told it would take another 10-12 weeks due to a warehouse issue. I requested a refund and after several promises to pay I am still waiting for my refund! Avoid at all costs!
I ordered a bed from here about 5 years ago. It was a long wait but really good quality. I thought nothing if buying another from this company in November. However a few days after the order my child changed their mind wanting a high sleeper instead so I cancelled the order which was processed straight away and told to expect the refund in 15 working days. Quite a long time I thought but ok. New year came, 6 weeks after the refund was promised to which I was told it looks like it will be a few more days but define no longer than a week. I didn’t believe this for a second as that isn’t how banking works. When the week passed and as expected nothing I contacted them again twice. No reply. Today I replied saying as I heard nothing I would be raising a section 75 request. Minutes later they replied saying the refund was processed December 14th and they will query with their accounts team. It was then I read all these reviews, noticed you can’t comment or leave a review on social media either and no phone number anywhere. I wish I’d seen these before as I’m still hundreds down and it looks like I’m going to have to fight to get this money back. I will also be letting trading standards know about this. Sounds like some sort of dodgy pyramid scheme how they are running things
Ordered a bed in July, told 10-12 week delivery. That time came and was advised it will be another 10-12 weeks. The bed was cheaper so they advised would refund the difference. No money has been seen and was advised this needs to be looked at by accounts. Still no communication around this and still no bed! I can only assume this company is struggling financially. Would avoid until they get their house in order
Awful experience, still ongoing. Paid £150 for a bedside table in July, didn’t arrive in the promised time. So we chased and were told there were delays from the supplier so they would refund our delivery charge. We have had no refund, despite me chasing multiple times via email and keep being told it has been processed - it hasn’t!!!! And still no sign of the item we paid for. This is now 6 months later. Terrible company, avoid!!!
AVOID THIS COMPANY. NO BED AND NO REFUND. Ordered a bed in December 2022. Delivery times not met and when chased, lots of excuses for delays in delivery. My son really wanted the bed so I didn’t cancel straight away. I wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing, as now the company won’t even give me a refund - just keep responding to my emails that it will be escalated. I just want my money back so I can finally get my son a new bed (this time from a reputable company!).
It’s been 18 months since we placed our order with TCFC. Still no products nor refund. These people are unscrupulous thieves. Please listen and avoid.
Absolutely shocking company, can't believe they are still operating they didn't honour my order for a mattress over one year back, I was eventually refunded £40 for a mattress that I paid approx £140 and apparently that's all I'm getting back!!!! PLEASE DON'T USE THEM ! I haven't given exact date or price of mattress as I'm absolutely fatigued with it all😡
I wish I had read the negative reviews on here before placing my order. We placed an order of significant value in July, with an advertised lead time of 6-8 weeks. After this had expired we contacted the company for regular updates, but each time were told things like the goods were still in transit, they were waiting for a docking date, etc. Eventually in October we cancelled the order and requested a refund, which was acknowledged by the company. Sadly no refund ever materialised, and like others posting on here we had to claim the money back via our credit card. As at today’s date, the company name and number cited deep within the terms and conditions on the company’s website (Caphan Trading Ltd) is different from the company number at the bottom of the website, which is for a company called TCFC Retail Ltd. TCFC Retail was only incorporated in Feb 2023, and so appears to be a phoenix company which has taken over after Caphan (co no 8140304) was put into administration in Aug 2023.
Shocking company!! Take your money, don’t keep to their delivery times, no communication, and now don’t refund money……only had my money for 5 months!!! Avoid, shocking company!! But any company that doesn’t have a telephone number is dodgy!!
Fraudulent business!! They confirmed an order for a bed and bedside table and said it would be delivered after 4-6 weeks, after this time we asked for products and they sent an email saying that unfortunately the provider couldn´t confirm an production date. So they offer to keep waiting or a full refund what we haven´t got the money back. Now they say that they already made the refunds on October and we have to claim to our bank and if we want the proof of it our bank have to ask directly for it. Obviously, they said that because they know that the bank can´t do that. The purchase was on July 2023 and we are still trying to get the money back. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE
Ordered single sized trundle bed at beginning of November for my grandsons with xmas sleepovers imminent. Received no confirmation although money taken immediately. When I queried the lack of communication I was informed that part of the bed (the trundle) would be unavailable for 2 months, I decided to cancel and ask for a refund, I have now been waiting 5 weeks for this refund to my credit card and tried using Resolver to push matters along but now the 'customer care' team (care in short supply) just respond with the automatic 'your message is important to us' which all flies in the face of their 30 day 'no quibble' returns policy as I haven't even returned any goods but paid money for goods that were cancelled. Avoid this company and shop elsewhere.
Ordered bedroom furniture in November 22 but had a change of heart so sent an email requesting a refund. Was fobbed off several times and the my last couple of emails weren’t replied to at all. Ended up going through my credit card company for a refund! Surely this is a scam company as their customer service number is not in use!! Please look through their socials to see about other customers not having their orders fulfilled and refunds not given. Unless of course they’ve managed to delete them. Avoid like the plague!
Ordered a bed for my Autistic son, waited 10 weeks and told nothing of delays until I contacted the company myself. Leaving the country for a month so require my refund urgently so that I can order another bed. Told 10-15 working days, no compassion for my situation at all. Only get a reply by email every couple of days and it’s not possible to speak to someone by phone. Very poor customer service! After reading other reviews about lack of refunds I’m very concerned this won’t happen within their time frame if at all!! Please refund immediately so that I can order my son a bed from somewhere else!!! Thanks for the useless response! Please please just do the refund!!!!
We ordered a bed and table. It should have taken 2 weeks to arrive. After 3 months of delays the company said it would be a further 2 months. We asked for a refund instead. A year in we have not received a refund, they have said that our bank must request this (untrue) and we are seeking legal action to resolve this
Avoid this company at all cost as I ordered a bed on 31st October 23 then to be told it was guna take 2 months for it to arrive so I then canceled and requested a refund on the 7th November been told numerous times it will take 15 days for the refund I'm now 16 days and still getting no where with no refund and no reply from any off them.
Ordered in July, waited the 12-14 weeks for delivery and I chased when coming up to 14 weeks to be told the order couldn’t be fulfilled. Requested a refund 10/11/2023 and despite being promised multiple times this would be processed, nothing has been done and no responses to emails. Resorting to trying to get my money back through the bank. I ordered from this company many years ago and it was great, unfortunately I think ownership has changed. Really disappointing customer service from this company. I cancelled an order mid September and I’m still waiting for a refund from them via Klarna. I’ve just been told several time to wait for my refund!!

I am compelled to write a review about Children’s Furniture Company based on the distressing experience I encountered. Expecting a smooth transaction, I ordered and paid nearly £1,000 for a bed for my child, which included the cost of assembly. However, the promised delivery time of 8-10 weeks turned out to be an empty guarantee. After a lack of communication and only upon our prompting, we were informed of an additional 8-10 week delay. This significant postponement shook our confidence in the company, prompting us to cancel the order and purchase from another supplier. Regrettably, the ordeal did not end there. The process of obtaining a refund became a protracted saga. Despite cancelling our order well within the communicated timeframe, almost two months have passed without the receipt of our refund. The company’s responses were riddled with excuses, and their customer service deteriorated to the point of non-communication. I am issuing a caution to potential customers based on my experience: be wary of engaging with this company. The lack of reliability, accountability, and customer service has been stark. I am now considering legal action to recover the funds rightfully owed to us. It is my hope that the company rectifies this situation promptly, demonstrating responsibility and respect for their customers by issuing the overdue refund without further delay. I urge Children’s Furniture Company to contact me and resolve this issue to avoid legal proceedings. It is not only about the money but also about the principle and the ethical way of conducting business, which thus far has been gravely lacking.
Company failed to meet lead times on the order. Upon asking for a refund they have yet to give me the funds, some 2 months after the request. Avoid using them they are clearly not able to manage their cash flows.
