I called skycaskets after looking at many sites that sell caskets and decided to buy one of its casket. The casket that I wanted was not available and the person I spoke to (I don't remember his name) sent me two pics and the second one was perfect for my relative. I was frazzled the day that I called and the Rep was very patient with me. I am glad that I didn't settle for a casket from the meager inventory of the funeral room.

I was a bit apprehensive to go with sky caskets but I am SOOO unbelievably HAPPY that I decided to go with them. They made my mom’s wishes come true and we created a beautiful casket with cute animals flying in hot air balloons. The shipping went so smoothly and it arrived within 1 day. The design of the casket was everything we were hoping for, for my amazing mom.

How many times do you order something online and hope that the order doesn’t get messed up in some way? Ordering a casket is something you can’t afford for this to happen. I placed my order on a Sunday and within less than 24 hours it was in route to be delivered. However, with that great news came the most pleasant and sincere call from Matthew. He confirmed and made sure all of the details were thoroughly covered. It put my mind at ease so I could concentrate on other important matters at this time.

I disliked how after getting the size needed from the mortuary home. SKY caskets stated, "well does your mom need to turn sideways to fit through the door", when I told them she needed an oversized caskets, not standard. I told them I would just go with what the Mortuary thought was best. Sky Casket owner Mathew was very aggressive about my decision and was very disrespectful. At the beginning of the the purchase I asked if a refund would be an option if I found something less costly and suitable. They said yes but the next day after doing so apparently the conversation never happened. They told me my down payment was not refundable. After vlhaving a very heated conversation they said they had something suitable. When he casket arrived after agreeing with their proposition the casket was still standard size and small. Fortunately the mortuary was able to work with it. I honestly don't know if I would even want to purchase from them again.

This was my second time using sky caskets, and I thought it would be a smooth and easy process. However, with shipping the casket cost much more than I expected. Then, after being pressured to place my order right away, so that it could be shipped right away and received the next day it did not arrive until 2 days later. So what was supposed to be next day shipping which is what I paid for it turned out to be two day shipping. Then when I called about it I was told that it was the funeral home’s fault (whom they claimed to have a close relationship with) because they wouldn’t accept it on the day it should have been delivered. Then why didn’t sky caskets call me back at that point so that I could make alternate arrangements? On top of all that when I asked for a breakdown of the cost I was told I would have to wait a week to have that emailed to me and I still have not received it. I will be calling back about this to get a refund of the shipping cost and reporting this to the BBB. FOLLOW-UP: I was contacted by Sky Caskets to resolve my issue and received a partial refund of shipping cost. I appreciated the opportunity to be heard and the person I spoke with was courteous and professional. Thank you

Somehow my phone call got connected with the owner I told him I was interested in the lady Guadalupe casket not only did he seem to know that I was from Nebraska whether my area code showed up and he knew he also took the time to tell me that he is dealt with very happily the funeral director for my mother he spoke highly of the service that the funeral home was going to provide his personal knowledge of the funeral director our small rural community that people blink and miss our towns and his patience with me dealing with an unexpected death was amazing I have just had cataract surgery and was having trouble reading my debit card and he gave me a few minutes to be able to figure out what the card said and then he was still there on the line with me as he sent me to a employee named Colby who was also so very kind and patient them understanding that you're starting your grieving process was a one in a million both the owner of Sky Casket and Colby by their kindness made me feel I was doing the best I could for my mother and that it was going to be okay I can't express my appreciation and gratitude above all I would recommend Sky Casket to everybody because they are definitely the number one leader in the business that still has a human heart running the business and that means a lot God bless you Colby and Mr owner you never gave me your name but you have a voice of gold you set me at ease and for the few moments speaking with you I didn't have the pain of just losing my mom I felt like I had a friend on the other end of the phone who helped me give my mom a beautiful casket for her resting place. After ordering I was concerned when I read the numerous very negative reviews of this company. For me, everything was just fine and I am happy with the casket. My only concern was the casket we ordered online was not in stock and a more expensive one was substituted. It was still over $2000 less than the funeral homes option.
