Absolutely waste of 250euro. Do NOT buy this contraption. It spits everything out of it, or any hairs, fibres, dirt gets jammed in the pipe. It gathers everything into the pipe into balls and gets jammed. Fuming.
Honestly don’t bother with this cordless vacuum for the price. I’ve had it 3 years and it now doesn’t pick up anything dust, hair, fur etc, it literally spits it out and I’m left with dirt and grit all over the floor. I bought the pet version as it was meant to be stronger. Mine is about to hit the tip after onky3 years. I paid about £350.
This vacuum cleaner is useless I echo everything that has been said doesn’t pick up spots everything out when you turn it off!!!
What absolute crap! Before this pos I had one of those little red low power micro vacuums for light jobs only. That did a 10x better job than this Shark garbage. And it was four times lighter. This Shark Ninja Duo Clean is useless. The motor runs hot even after five minutes use. It also emits a foul odour. The dust bin is MICROSCOPIC. It is heavy and exhausting to use, especially on carpets. When you think you've finally finished and you pick it up, KERFLUMPF!!!!! 50% of everything it has just picked up drops back onto to the floor! Useless for picking anything up within 1 inch of the skirting boards. Useless at corners. Useless on the stairs. Need I say more? Utter garbage. Avoid Shark products at all costs!
What dipstick thought it would be a good idea to route the power to the brush via a conduit within the suction tube? Yes, it's got a deliberate built-in obstruction, with the result that no debris gets as far as the collector; it all gradually clogs up in the pipe and the head. You get 2 minutes' cleaning, then have to spend 10 minutes unbunging it. Perhaps that's just as well, because if you do get it to run much longer than 2 minutes, it overheats and cuts out anyway. Totally useless - by design!
Honestly I can’t say anything good about these hoovers. And we don’t even have pets / kids. We have the anti hair wrap, cordless vaccuum. No suction power, all the dirt gets clogged into the fluffy brush, it spits everything back out, the whole hoover keeps clogging up from bottom to top. Anything larger than a dust does not make it into the bin part. We had a different one first, which broke twice and had the same issues with clogging. Customer service was very helpful (twice) and sent us a replacement part first, and a new hoover second. But now we have the exact same problem with a different hoover. Please save yourself the hassle and buy a henry or a dyson. Never again.
If only I could give this rubbish hoover nil ratings. It’s useless on hard floors ! Leaves bits behind or drops what it picked up previously ! The brush head constantly clogs up with fluff ! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY !
Had this over just over a year and it’s not the best from when we first got it… So this hoover doesn’t stand up on its own, which is annoying in itself. Also when pulling the hoover backwards it doesn’t pick up anything just pushed the dirt along the floor, it only picks up when pushing forward which really irritates me because it takes longer to hoover. Also when using the brush applicator it doesn’t suction up hair or anything it just brushes it all together in a clump so you have to pick it up and put it into the hoover yourself or bin. It’s really not the best, wouldn’t recommend buying this one.
Shark duo clean. Anti hair wrap. Absolutely crap! Fiddly, gets clogged up if it vacuums anything bigger than a speck of dust! I spend longer dismantling and cleaning the cleaner than I do vacuuming! Avoid at all costs!
Was given the Shark Duo Clean with Anti Hair Wrap HZ500 as a replacement for the 400 which packed up after 2 years. Good customer service from Shark and it works ok. What drives me absolutely NUTS is it doesn’t stand up on its own!!!!???? So if you want to move some furniture, or answer the phone, or stop your toddler trying to put the cat in the washing machine, you have to find something to lean it on or lay it on the floor!!!!😡 What is the point of designing it like this??? Has the designer actually ever vacuumed a whole room?!! Plus the instructions on what to do with the cord when you to fold it down for storage are useless!! I now fold it down first and then wind up the cord to stop it being stretched. I definitely won’t be purchasing this design again as it’s just too annoying.
The shark duo clean cordless. What a dissapointment. I have had it for about a year. Non stop unclogging blocked tubes. Even after that suction so poor it just does not pick up dirt. Cannot get all the rollers off. Nothing seems to help. Back to Henry
Recent modification make it impossible to clean the rollers. After sales service was excellent.
The worst thing about this upright vacuum machine is the cheap rubbish cord they have always put on that snags, and it's so hard to undo. It's total rubbish. I will never buy their product again. I am going back to Dyson better all around!! Shark, listen to people and put better cords on your machines; you charge enough. Why cheap out on the electrical connection??
My Mum bought this for us at great expense so I have struggled on for years with this miserable thing. I will sling it in the recycling with great relish. I hate it! I have never had to empty the dust receptacle. In fact I've never seen anything in the dust receptacle. The machine has never worked for more than a minute. If you're not taking threads out of the head, you're ramming a device up its throat to dislodge the wedged carpet hairs. it is unfathomable. Fix one fault and 5 seconds later it will stop and you'll have to fathom the next mysterious breakdown. My partner had to make an intervention as he found me smashing it into the bin. He's found a Miele that looks solid and ungadgety. It's been quite cathartic reading the reviews. Did I say I hate it?
Bought direct from shark but they can’t find my purchase. Roller doesn’t turn. Will never use shark. I have 2 different models and they are both broken. Hose isn’t covered on the corded one
The hose clip, a simple device that is intended to keep the hose secure, not according to the designers/CEO's at Shark. To them it is just a bit of plastic to decorate it, it serves no useful purpose whatsoever. If you go onto their infuriating 'help' guide, no mention. They will give you a fixed list of what the problem may be and that is it, if you have anything outside their narrow remit? Well, tough! I'm actually contemplating blocking the hose because there's a plethora of information for that particular issue. In the end I had to select something ("You cannot leave this section blank") so I opted for "Batteries won't charge" well it's not a lie they won't. Oh, and I don't like the damn thing.
My daughter bought this as a gift. I’ve always had Dyson makes. This was a big mistake and a waste of good money. The machine has never been stable falls over. Light to manoeuvre but the overall a bad design. The floor head has plastic part in which the wand sits. This has broken. £70 for a replacement.Apparently not covered in the 5 years guarantee so I’ve not bothered to ring although I’m well in the guarantee period. Will not purchase another. Will go back to Dyson, They will cover most parts in their 5 year warranty
Like so many others , the thing does not pick up I have just bought new filters etc ,to see if that makes any difference, while awaiting these parts l have used my nilfisk work hoover bloody great hoover just maybe a bit to big for a house but still better than that shark duo .
The Shark Duo Clean doesn’t work. It’s an absolute load of rubbish. I keep the filters very clean I empty and clean after every use. When I’ve used it I sweep the floor with a brush and it’s just like I haven’t vacuumed at all. On a carpets it’s also useless. The simplest of tiny bits of fluff etc remain on the carpet. SHARK IS A CON. DON’T BUY IT.
Like so many other reviewers, I find myself spending more time taking it apart to unclog, than I do vacuuming the floors. Very seldom is the main dust receptacle full but the tube and the brush head clog up and the whole unit has to be stripped down. Apart from this, after a few minutes of use, it starts flashing and stops working until you set it aside for a few minutes. This repeats itself again and again until finally, the job is done. A complete waste of money but what to replace it with?
