Bought the duo clean anti hair wrap BIG mistake!!!!!!! It topples over instantly when using the lift away and because you have to carry the lift away in one hand while using the wand it’s impossible to clean under the beds the hose is so short unless your 8 foot tall u cannot reach up high while balancing because you’re got both hands full. So I tried using as an upright to do under furniture (nope) because of stupidly placed box (lift away) right at the front. Absolutely the worst vacuum I have ever had, they would not accept it back as they say there is no fault 😂 so went out and bought a dyson
Was so excited to get my Shark Pet duo hoover, used it a couple of times, wonderful! However, this performance was very short lived, after only a matter of weeks, the shark constantly blocks, no suction, can go one hoover without unblocking it, so much money spent down the pan, it sits in the cupboard unused, back to the good old Henry. Would not recommend in any way. Back to the drawing board Shark. This machines a dud 😡
Absolutely terrible cleaner. Topples over , ungainly, heavy and the head is to heavy for the cheap plastic that holds it in place, consequently it snaps rendering the unit useless. Contact shark and they dont really want to know. Come here and discover its a fairly common fault. Not good enough on units at the price charged for these.
I bought a corded shark duo clean, becayse I thought the anti wrap would be a big plus, as our stairs are a nightmare. Unfortunately there is a LOT of maintenance involved with using this product. Very small collection unit, so constantly having to empty. The suction is awful on hard floors, and you are constantly having to check why it's not picking up, as it blocks very easily. Filters also have to be rinsed out and air dried. Because of the price tag, I am stuck with this for a while, but will be going back to the little round red fella at the earliest opportunity.
I foolishly purchased a shark vacuum and it is the worst vacuum I have ever had despite the hefty price tag It topples over at the slightest tug on hose and it’s heavy and awkward to use. Will stick with Dyson in future
This has to be the worst cleaner I have ever owned. I purchased the Shark Duo last September, it is the one with a mains cord. That was my second mistake. The cleaner feels like it was built for a child to use as its so light weight. The suction is also very very poor even with the hand held section when I try and clean out my car. The dirt container is also very small and the inlet where the dirt enters the dirt container is tiny so is forever getting blocked. It is also not capable of standing up on its own!! When you have finished with it you have to wrap the cable anti clockwise on the cleaner and then press a button to fold the top half of the cleaner down towards the brushes. In my opinion I would not waste your money on this item. I only wish I had read the reviews before I made my purchase. Sorry but I am going back to a Dyson.
Terrible, low power, lower suction. Is passable on carpet but useless on solid flooring. Battery is ok. Wish I had read the trust pilot reviews before hand.
This cleaner literally clogs up at least every two minutes. Its is consequently totally unusable as you spend the whole time unclogging the rollers or the other parts. Im constantly take it apart . I have gone back to my trusted very very old miele wcich is ten times better. complete waste of money . never again
Purchased a Shark duo clean corded stick vacuum with anti-hair wrap tech and flexology. What a waste of money, the rollers get stuck, constantly declogging, but then fails to pick up small particles on a carpet. It sticks of burning rubber and plastic, just horrendous and then you ask for help by shark and they just send out computer generated emails, try troubleshoot, you do and request further help and you get the same email time and time again..... poor customer service and poor/awful product. Save your money avoid at all costs as the product is a waste of money and the service and help does not exist! Oh and to add insult it asks for a telephone number but as a Deaf customer I cannot do phone calls!!!! Where is the reasonable adjustment to have the right to communicate... come on it is 2022 not 1700's.
Used the cordless version about twice before the front roller inexplicably stopped spinning, had the whole thing apart, but to no avail. So now it just creates friction across the floor. To clip and unclip the different heads is also nigh on impossible as the plastic release button does not click properly. Any loose stones rattle around, then get spat back out again. Finally, after about six months, the bottom of the dust canister opens at will, emptying the small amount of debris the Shark will pick up directly back onto the floor. Seriously, take note of the bad reviews and don't waste your money.
Worst hoover ever... Gets blocked every 20 seconds... Really difficult to unblock when it does actually manage to pick up a small piece of sawdust my rabbit leaves out his hutch... Everything about this vile creation is a joke.. DO NOT BUY... NOTHING BUT STRESS
Don't expect any warranty out of Shark in the UK even though they claim they will give a 5 year warranty. IF (and it's a BIG if) you actually get someone who speaks English properly and can string a sentence together (and that refers to people who are both based in the UK and based offshore) in their outsourced call centres, they will claim things are not covered due to "Wear and Tear" which actually means "We can determine ourselves when we honour our marvellous sounding warranty.” In my experience this was an accessory holder that snapped with normal use, and then a brush roller that wore out within the 5 years warranty and couldn’t be replaced under warranty. Our only choice was to pay. Shark wouldn’t replace either under warranty, and couldn’t replace the brush roller as a) It was never sold as a spare part (similar parts are available for less than £20 from shark) b) Came as part of a whole sub-assembly that costs £55 that there was no stock of. Because they don’t hold stock of “spares” for more than a few years, (or because that part had already worn out for loads of other customers) they then (after several hours of email and phone calls to India, Columbia and the UK, and an email to their US based UK managing director FINALLY put someone forward who a) works for the company and b) takes responsibility. Their solution – Pay the price of the brush roller assembly (yes £55) and get a whole new vacuum cleaner. Anything from the range. Now some people may think that’s a deal, but me, I’m reluctant to buy any more products that are built to a budget, and to a quality that doesn’t last a reasonable period. Also where a manufacturers last resort of customer service is to offer a heavily discounted new product because of a poor spare part policy and stockholding that doesn’t result in any customer loyalty. I don’t want to contribute to landfill and generating more plastic waste, and I don’t want to support manufacturers who sell products that have poor customer service, poor after sales warranty and poor spare parts policies. So Shark, you must do better. It was a journey I won’t be taking again. PS This is a confirmed purchase via a link sent to me my Shark. While Trustpilot may wish to takedown or neutralise my review, (as they have done before with another manufacturer) this is an honest and truthful review.
It's the worst hoover I've ever owned, I'm so disappointed. It picked up beautifully the day I got it, I hoovered the whole house! Since then it just doesn't pick up properly,I rang Shark and they sent out a new filter, it worked again for about a day, then back to not picking up. It also blocks up very easily. For the last few years I've only used the handheld hoover part to vacuum, which hurts your hand as its heavy, but at least that part works.
I cannot applaud the customer service enough. We have had our Shark duo clean for over 3 years when it developed an issue. As I had registered the extended warranty I gave them a call. The representative was friendly and extremely helpful. A replacement part was ordered under warranty and arrived next day. Excellent service in my book and very rare to find these days. Thank you
The front roller which comes on in carpet mode, is held on by a plastic housing . Which engineer decided friction and Plastic Was a good idea? The housing shattered/melted after my Warranty lapsed, the front roller stopped rolling. They do not do a replacement part and couldn’t help. 3 tubes of JB weld later, I’m appalled with this dreadful product and after sales service. Don’t buy.
I wish I had paid more attention to trusted reviews rather than Instagram hype before buying this product. It is the most in effective vacuum I have ever had. Firstly when it arrived the head of the vacuum had holes in the pipe which of course it didn’t suction properly. When I complained to be fair the customer service was good and they said even though their warranty didn’t cover this (why? It was brand new) they would send me a new one which they did. However regardless if you need any kind of suction, don’t buy this product. It doesn’t even work that well with the ‘boost’ function. It clogs easily so you have to spend an inordinate amount of time cleaning out the head of the device. In addition to this, mine randomly turns itself off mid use despite having 3 bars of power. All in all I deeply regret purchasing this vacuum and would definitely not recommend.
So we have had our shark hoover for a year. The battery started playing up, called shark and they sent out a replacement. However the replacement isn’t working now!! Been on the phone for over an hour. Just replace the whole hoover instead of wasting my time. I should of just got a Dyson. Not sure what we were thinking. Won’t recommend to anyone!
Plus is that it's got a good bendy handle to get under low furniture, and it's good at getting fine dust off carpets - but - it cant do larger bits on carpets (no good for pine needles off the Christmas tree). It doesn't do corners or have enough suction for stairs and unless you get the angle just right it doesn't do carpet edges even with the tools. Rubbish at cleaning the car. You'll spend a long time trying to get blockages out of the pipes and disentangling the brushes. Battery life is very poor. Overall not worth the money (but it does really like electrical cables and shoe laces - very good at picking these up!)
Had it a month, keeps turning off, poor suction. Hopefully sending it back. Really poor vacuum
It doesn't have much of a powerful suction. Sometimes I find that it hasn't sucked up everything from the carpet. I still find crumbs and dust in corners of every room. The roller bit at the bottom of it, keeps on breaking down too easily. It certainly cost me enough to buy. It's not worth all the money you pay for it. A Henry hoover works far better, and Henry hoovers are much cheaper. I'm going to throw away my Shark Duo Clean one, and I'm going to buy a Henry hoover. What a waste of £179.
