Shark duo clean . I’ve been using the Duo Clean since December 2020 . The wired version ,apart from being cumbersome, I can’t fault it, the power and suction is amazing. I can’t speak for the wirefree model. But the wired Duo Clean does what it says on the can . For suction it’s five-star for being cumbersome it loses the star.

I've always bought cheap cylinder hoovers and they lasted a couple of years and I replaced them. I've not had this 9 months yet and I'm cheesed off with it. I could suck more dirt off the floor with a straw! I spend more time unclogging the thing than actually using it! And I have to get my fingers in the dust box to pull the dust and stuff out. So unhygienic! Avoid these like the plague. I shall be buying another cheap cylinder soon.

I couldn't wait to get a shark hoover but I wish I'd never bothered!! It clogs constantly resulting in it spitting everything back out all over the floor, I spend more time trying to get the bloody thing to suck up than I do cleaning!! I mean it had one chuffing job and it just can't do it! Honestly, don't waste your money!!

Again like others I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased. Hair gets stuck in the rollers and it stops working, and the suction is terrible, it worked for about a month before we started having problems and I thought it was because I didn't clean the filter out enough but nope! It's just a rubbish vacuum cleaner.

I have the exact same issues here as everyone else seems to had and I wish I had seen these reviews before purchasing, weve had it about a year and as other people have found, it works for about a month, since the it's been a nightmare of blockages and lacklustre suction. We have a dedicated long stick for unlocking the wand which usually gets blocked after 1 session of hoovering, not by anything significant, simply a small amount of dust and 4/5 hairs is enough to render it useless. The rollers at the front get jammed every time it is used as my daughter and partner have long hair that it is incapable of sucking up. We have a dog and at the end of each stint of hooveringg tou need to be ready with a dust pan to pick up the dirt, hair maybe a pea sized grain of kibble or two that inevitably drop out the head after. The small upholstery attachment that came with it is ok, its like a mini fast roller which I havnt had problems with. If you already own one, invest in spare filters as they become clogged rendering it useless very fast and take a couple of days to dry, so get spares so you can take them out after every use. Poor value for money, I miss my Henry hoover and will probably buy one of them now instead; wires trailing aroundthe house never made me angry, but the uselessness of this hoover made me very angry in would say once in every 3 times I use it, so at least once a week.

Anti Hair Wrap technology obviously has a long way to go, judging by my experience. I unpacked the cleaner, tried it on the living room carpet and then tried the anti hair wrap on my wife's side of the bed. Her long blonde hair comes out a lot when she brushes it. As it was a few days since it was last vacuumed, there was plenty of it on the carpet. Guess what? The Shark Anti Hair Wrap & DuoClean is not a match for her long blonde hair. It quickly had hair wrapped all around the brushes, which in turn stopped it from picking things up off the carpet. I ended up having to use scissors to cut the hair that was wrapped around the brushes, just like I have to do with our existing vacuum cleaner. Clearly this doesn't do what is advertised as a main feature, and the main reason why we bought it! Thank goodness we bought this from QVC. We can send it back for a full refund!

Absolutely terrible, blocks at the slightest bit of hair, when switching off all the dirt falls back out, spent more time in bits trying to make it work properly. AVOID AT ALL COST.

I wish I had read these reviews before buying as I have had the same problems, poor suction and having to regularly unblock the pipe and it throws out the bits I`ve just hoovered up! It is useless on the stairs and I end up with a dust pan and brush going over the bits it`s missed! So disappointed in this vacuum.

Awful! It’s useless on stairs. The nozzle doesn’t stay on the wand. The lift-away bit is unstable and falls over so has to be carried but the wand is too cumbersome to be used one-handed. Not that it picks much up anyway. The hose doesn’t expand very far, maybe two or three stairs worth, so again the lift away bit has to be carried up the stairs. And to actually use as a traditional hoover it feels heavy and awkward to manoeuvre. In the interest of balance, it’s fairly light to carry up the stairs... can’t wait for it to break so I can replace it with something else!

We bought it to vacuum stairs with a carpet. It is completely unsuited for this. As you work to the end of the stairs the brush head tips to 90 degrees where it locks and disengages the brush. You then have to unlatch it. You end up repeating this several time for each stair. It is impossible to use on the vertical parts of the stair carpet and almost completely useless on the horizontal part.

I can certainly identify with all these reviews second Shark I've purchased and should have known better has the first one was rubbish but was willing to give them another chance. And yes this new one is has bad tiny waste collection bin that reduces in suction as it fills the hand held makes your arm aches within minutes and the attachments continuously work loose so you have to stop and push them back on. The only consolation is it was purchased from QVC so I can return it and purchase a proper Vacuum How on earth Shark win awards is beyond me

Absolutely rubbish. Spits out a pile of debris every time I switch it off. I have to get a dust pan and brush out every single time. Not how I imagined my Shark vacuuming experience!

Have had our cordless Shark Duo Clean for 6 months now. It was brilliant for the first month, really easy to use and picked up well. It took a bit of getting used to with it being cordless, and also if you accidentally hoover too close to something (ie Hot Wheel car) it sucks it in and ends up stuck in the roller and you have to take it apart. After a month of use, the condition of the vacuum really started to deteriorate. The front housing started to crack, the spongy seal in the dust bin started to come away and the motor started to make a funny noise. Now at the 6 month mark it is unusable as the cracked front housing has completely come off - meaning the front roller bar kicks the dirt out in front of the vacuum constantly. The motor often sounds like it’s going to die, and you are never sure whether you will be able to finish vacuuming! As others have said - you spend more time taking it apart than you do vacuuming with it. The main brush head constantly gets stuff stuck in the housing around it, so you have to take it apart and use a knife to fish it all out. The hose off of the main head is also very narrow and again blocks very easily (ie attempt to hoover up a bit of Quaver, and expect to have to take it apart a few minute later to unblock). We contacted customer services a few months ago, they said they would send us a new unit and expect it in 2 days. When nothing arrived we rang them again and they said we had to send our broken one back first and arranged for a courier to come and collect, which never happened. We have just contacted them again, as it’s now unusable! Really wouldn’t recommend - it’s quality is poor, especially for the price!

Had this for quite a few months now and have waited to see what it’s like. Initially I was impressed. The anti- hair wrap seems to be ok - you still get hair on the roller but no where near as bad as previous vacuum cleaners. At that point I would have gone for 5 stars. The one very big problem is that there is a flexible pipe from the cleaning head to the rest of the vacuum. This has ridges to enable it to bend but I think it’s these ridges that catch dirt and especially hair which forms a huge ball of hair and fluff which blocks the machine. Just cleaned it again today (and it’s only a few weeks since I last did it) and there was a huge clump of fluff and hair about 3 inches long. Cleaner needs to be taken to bits to remove it. Must be a design flaw. So disappointed but it’s too expensive to just throw away.

As a vacuum cleaner it’s OK, nothing more. If you want to clean skirting boards you’ll need to pay extra for this basic attachment.

The big bit to my hoover broke after 2/3 months of having it. Sucked up the plastic bit underneath. Tried contacting customer service and they haven’t replied phoned them and they said I needed to take an image of it so I sent it to the email and they still didn’t reply. It’s absolutely shocking I will never ever consider buying one again I was so happy to receive it but after using is I’ll never buy one again. Would not recommend.

I bought the Shark Duo Clean over a year ago. It's been an absolute disaster. It jams every time and spits back out what it has just sucked up. I have to take it apart every time to free the blockage that has occurred. The product is badly designed as the blockage always seems to occur at the entrance behind the roller. Would never buy another one.

This is absolutely the worst vacuum I have ever bought. I was advised by Shark salesperson that it was fantastic for animal hair I have a Jack Russel who is a shedder and I spend more time removing hair from the vacuum than I do actually using it. I have a Hetty (fantastic) Miele upright ok but heavy Sebo very good and a cordless Dyson. Best at picking up but a few irritants however Dyson tell me that these have been addressed and they recommend the Dyson V11 absolute. Can’t wait to try it
