Used four times , red light flashing , brush not turning , brush nor clogged up , mainly hardwood floors and just the two of us . Looks great but like so many products it’s poor quality. We bought this to run along side a cordless Miele that holds charge for 10 minutes before it dies and only £500. If anyone could recommend any make that is reliable please let me know before I revert to a brush and shovel .
The Shark Duoclean is the worst hoover I have owned. It broke after 18 months. In that time the terrible design has injured my elbow. It is so unergonomic. It’s just so poor. One star is one too many…..
I've used others and they don't come close.
Very disappointed. Bought the duoclean powerfins with the flexihose 10 months ago. The flexihose has jammed and cannot be repaired. I have tried to purchase a replacement wand from shark but for at least the past 6 weeks they have been out of stock. I called shark and was told that as I had not registered the cleaner it was not under guarantee. The same problem happened to my son’s cleaner, same model. He still had his receipt so shark sent him a replacement wand despite the website stating they were out of stock. Will never buy or recommend a shark again.
absolutely terrible not even 12 months old and the suction is useless, hose keeps blocking up, stay away from this product, never again will I buy a shark hoover. back to my hetty.
Shark Classic Anti Hair Wrap Upright Pet Vacuum NZ801UKT Thought I'd wait 6 months before posting a review for this Shark Vacuum. I see lots of negative reviews for this company’s products however, I can only speak about my experience. I'm in my late 50's and I have three dogs (all long haired!), so when it comes to vacuums, I think I know a thing or two, having purchased just about every brand and type of unit on the market over the years. A few months ago we decided to give up on the unit we had, which I might add was a very expensive vacuum from a brand that rhymes with 'Byson', we ditched it because it didn’t live up to the hype and like most vacuums it worked great out of the box for about 6 weeks (one advantage is that it was uber light in weight). So, having scanned the marketplace again and in a last-ditch attempt to get something that would pull dog hairs out of deep carpets without clogging the roller and internal parts every time we used it, I decided to go for a brand I'd never used before. So, I jumped in and purchased this unit having read all the spin on how great it is and how it does not lose suction and how the roller is tangle free etc, etc... (All of the manufacturers make this claim!). To my amazement and delight, we are 6 months on, and this vacuum is as good today as it was when I took it out of the box!! incredible unit and I could not be happier, especially after all of my years of searching for a half decent unit!! One slight (very slight) criticism is that its marginally heavier than our previous vacuum (by Mr Byson!)... but you don’t have to be a gym bunny to be able to push it around the house! So, for me its a big thank you and a 5 star recommendation to Shark for this great bit of kit.
Worst hoover ever, bad design poor suction, impossible to clean, 13 months in and failed keeps cutting out...avoid at all costs.
£69.99 for a new head is a rip off! The hose inside head is punctured due to it constantly blocking up and the poor design gets worse because you can't take it apart, my first shark and my last!! Would rather put the £69 towards a Dyson than give these sharks more money!
Poor suction. Reported to customer service Monday, replacement body motor received Tuesday p.m.
My husband purchased this product from Argos. After only 10 MONTHS the vaccuum head stopped working,(for a product worth £400(I got it for half price)I would have expected it to last longer!)unfortunately I could not find the receipt but Shark customer service said Argos hold purchases for 6 years, excellent I thought, but as it wasn't paid for with a card,no luck(even though I knew the time and date of purchase!)I have, reluctantly, purchased a new head, which is working fine at the moment, but if this stops working I will not purchase a shark again,as I'm not that impressed with the suction either! The only reason I bought a replacement head was because it was cheaper then a new hoover!
After a few months of use and a regular routine of wiping and cleaning the duo clean looks disgustingly filthy. I can not be the only person finding the 1Z201UK impossible to keep clean. As the main brush is not removable it makes a deep clean impossible .I am wondering If the whole head can be submerged in soapy water . .anyone had a go ?I must add that the suction is good and it is the design of the main head attachment that makes it impossible to clean that was the point of my review .
Two batteries, light and easy to manoeuvre, looks the business what's not to like? Principally the fact that, even straight out of the box, the suction is so weak that even if you lift the machine so that the brush end is facing the ceiling every time you pick up a tiny amount of dirt said dirt comes tumbling back out the moment you return to the cleaning position. This is the model that has the revolutionary detangling mechanism so that long hairs will not get wrapped round the brush. True, long hairs do not get wrapped round the brush because there is virtually no suction to lift the hairs from the floor. I note that I am by no means not alone in finding this cleaner does not fully meet the description - it is cordless but there is little or no vacuum and it does not clean.
I purchased a shark duo clean cordless vacuum in July , when I used the vacuum this morning the wand that allows it to fold up when not in use no longer works. I called shark as the vacuum is only a few months old and is still under guarantee. The person I spoke to told me that the part was out of stock and I should call Argos to see if they had a part. That is not how it works it is up to shark to replace the faulty part I am sure. She then told me that I had not set up a guarantee online although she could tell me I had bought it from Argos. To sum it up she says that they do not have the part in stock and I should call back next week . I am so angry after spending nearly £300.00 on a hoover for it to give up within weeks and in my eyes Shark have not fulfilled their guarantee. I still have my email from Argos thank goodness which is my receipt for buying said hoover. But I will never deal with Shark again.
Im my experience was very excited to get it after watching all the advertising but wow biggest mistake I made I have to take apart event time I use it as It gets blocked and is not worth the money we paid . Now I have to my old miel plug in hover 😡😡😡 Mrs Janis McDonald Cornwall
Useless. If u have dogs or plants in your house and maybe embark on the occasional DIY project, this useless pile of junk will clog and fail you every day from the day you bought it. Just bought a titan wet dry vac for £40 and even though its cheap feeling, it is approximately 526 times better! (Yes I carefully calculated this score). Don't buy a Shark.
Suction is great, I don’t seem to have the problems a lot of others do but I have to pull it apart every time I want to use it as it gets blocked left right and centre. Have gone back to my low maintenance Henry.
I could not believe that this so called fantastic upright cannot pick up cat biscuits off my laminate flooring. Not worth the money I should have not given my Dyson awsy.
DO NOT BUY! This hoover is not remotely up to task, I've spent more time trying to unclog it than I have using it. Fails to pick up anything bigger than a grain of sand, you end up just moving the dirt around before it falls out in a messy pile upon turning the thing off.
Genious! Read the instructions and keep it clean especially the filter. I love hoovering now!!
My mum bought the shark duo. Really hopeless...doesn't pick up the dirt and suction is terrible. 😠 Total waste of money. Its not light weight and after a while her arm and shoulders were sore🤷♀️
